System Journey to Godhood - Chapter 112
Snowy was oblivious to what happened outside the examination area. Even if she knew, it wouldn’t affect her in the slightest.
After Xian Bu Yu lost his consciousness and fainted, Snowy stopped paying attention to him. She had complete the first thing she wanted to do in this round.
She didn’t understand why was this man wanted to get her into trouble. Was it because she wanted to take revenge for his cousin? Or was it because he want to mess with her and Feng Xue?
Actually, she didn’t care that much about his reason–it’s just a curiosity.
His fate was sealed long ago. Ever since he tried to scheme against her and Feng Xue, she had decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.
She was a human now, so she can be a little bit wilful, no?
Anyway, this was just the beginning, so she didn’t want to do anything overboard yet. She once read in her memory that revenge was a dish best served cold.
She left the unconscious Xian Bu Yu alone and started honing her sword intent. The moment she released her sword intent, the two opposing forces clashed.
The sword intents within the fourth gate were quite powerful. There were several times that her sword intent was nearly overwhelmed by them.
Of course, it wasn’t enough to trouble Snowy. She carefully analyzed the composition of the sword intents while actively integrating it to her own sword intent.
Each of the sword marks contained different sword intent and different interpretations of Sword Dao.
There was a one-inch depth sword mark that contained violent and bloodthirsty sword intent. If someone looked at them closely they would felt as if their body was torn apart by a single slash.
Snowy looked at another sword mark. A set of three slashing marks parallel to each other with a precise one-inch space between them. These sword marks display a sharp and accurate sword intent.
Other than a simple slash, many Sword Grandmasters used their swords to engrave their names on the stone gate.
There was a mark of one letter, “Yun”, which contained an unfettered sword intent, just like the word, it was fleeting like a cloud.
The word “Di” manifested a tyrannical sword intent. When facing this sword intent, all of its enemies could only bow in reverence.
There was also the word “Zhun”, the sword within incredibly sharp but was only pointing at evil and demon. When the sword was unsheathed, it’s only to protect all living beings from suffering.
Snowy tried to understand all kinds of sword intents and adding her insight into her Convergence sword intent.
In 10 minutes, she successfully increased her sword intent’s proficiency by one level.
Ding!
[Comprehension of Sword Intent has greatly improved]
[Increase skill proficiency 1->2]
*Whooz*
Snowy’s aura surged and a faint image of three thousand swords hovered around Snowy, enveloping her body.
The vision was still blurry but anyone who saw it would feel the myriad of sword intents contained within.
Snowy retracted her aura after sensing the arrival of some people on the fourth gate’s platform.
“You are here.”
Three people showed up at the same time. Their clothed was disheveled and slightly torned, revealing their snow-jade skin beneath it. There were bloodstains here and there on their clothes, they injury they suffered seemingly not light. However, fighting spirit was still burning in their eyes.
They were Meng Qi, Qi Ying’er and Qi Ning’er.
“Is that a sword intent?”
The sight of three thousand swords hovering in the air deeply shook their hearts. Because they were in close proximity when Snowy’s sword intent was leaking, the could feel the same feeling when they were in the gate, but far stronger.
“Un,” Snowy nodded.
“And, that’s sword intent is yours?”
“Un,” she nodded again.
The three girls gasp as they looked at Snowy as if they were looking at a monster. After all, the only people they knew to be able to master sword intent were all old monsters.
To manifest their sword intent, someone needs to have sufficient insight into Sword Dao. There was no shortcut in understanding Dao.
The only way to gain enlightenment was to persevere in learning and gaining knowledge about swords and swordsmanship, and also the mental and physical pressure from battling a stronger enemy or life and death experience.
But what about Snowy? Their age wasn’t that much different, maybe only one or two years apart.
At such young age, how much did experience and knowledge could she has? How could she do it? Was their talent in the swords so lack behind compared to Snowy?
If someone had told them that Snowy was actually an archaic existence that had lived over a million years old and had the best comprehension in the entire Three Great Realms, they might only respond with, “Oh, that expected of you.”
Unfortunately, that was not the case. So, they felt slightly depressed when they compared themselves to Snowy.
It was a big blow to their pride and confidence that there are someone in their age that had already in such unreachable height.
Although the three of them didn’t show it on the outside, a genius like them was always prideful and arrogant. Up until now, they were always the best among their peers.
But after meeting with Snowy, their confidence was greatly shaken, and their worldview upturned.
When they got the wind of incredible prodigies like Feng Xue or Zi Ling, they still believed that even if they were weaker than any of them at the moment, sometime in the future, they will be able to stand in the same position with them or even surpassed them.
But, they couldn’t imagine they would be able to catch up with Snowy. It seemed that Snowy and they lived in two different worlds.
For ordinary Geniuses, this helpless feeling might be able to break them down. But, The three girls were not ordinary geniuses. Without amazing willpower, they won’t be able to leisurely chat like this after arriving at the fourth sword gate.
Qi Ying’er was the one who could back to her feet first. She looked at Snowy excitedly.
“Wow, you’re so cool! You are now the third person to be my Idol! But it didn’t mean I’ll give up challenging you. Now, my day won’t be so boring!”
“My Sister is right. I also admire you from the bottom of my heart, but I won’t easily admit defeat before trying it first.”
“Yes!” The two sisters raised their small fists to the sky, to keep their spirits up.
Meng Qi clenched her fist and look intently at Snowy with determined eyes.
“I still want to compete with you.”
“Anytime.”
“Hey, Snowy. Can we be a friend?”
Snowy was taken back by Qi Ying’er’s request. This was the first time someone had asked her to be their friend.
When she first met Feng Xue, their relationship develop too fast, and before she knew Feng Xue had become someone more than a friend that she grew dependent on.
In Rong Hua’s case, although her intention to befriend her and Feng Xue was naked to the eyes, she never bluntly asked them to be their friend.
There was also Oldman Chen, but he was more of a colleague than a friend to her.
This straightforward approached was rather new to her, but she didn’t feel it disgusting or uncomfortable.
Snowy never see passionate people like them before and quite amused by the way they interacted with her. ‘I think it’s not bad to have more friends.’
“Sure,” a charming smile rose from Snowy’s face.
“Great! We’re friends now!” said Qi Ying’er, laughing childishly.
“And me too,” Qi Ning’er warmly smiled and gave a small chuckle.
“Can I?” Meng Qi looked earnestly at the other three girls.
Snowy respond with a nod, Qi Ying’er gave her a thumbs-up, and Qi Ning’er flashed her a smile. Meng Qi felt warm inside her heart, she couldn’t wait to tell her best friend, Xiaoyun about it.
“You are going now?” asked Meng Qi as Snowy walked to the stairs to reach the next gate.
“I want to see the view from the top.”
“I guess you’re the winner this time.”
“See you in the next round, Snowy!”
“We won’t lose next time!”
As Snowy sauntered her way to the next gate, her three new friends glimpse at her back and had a hunch that Snowy would make history today.
