System Of Gods And Devils - Chapter 44
Chapter 43: Died! (Part 2)
Roger Dream dashed towards the destination mentioned in the paper. Lisa and Liliana also followed beside him.
Liliana was quite worried about Tina’s life. After her parents and grandmother died, she always thought of the children as her family.
“Lisa did you sent the message to Qing’er because this doesn’t look like a work of a kidnapper. The person who kidnapped Tina, his target is me, and we don’t know how powerful he is” Roger said.
********************
Tina was screaming and struggling to break free as she ultimately chooses to bite the arm of that guy. But the guy was a supreme; he didn’t even felt an itch.
He shook his head, looking at the little girl. Even though he was a slave of the demi-humans his mind wasn’t controlled by them. After a person breaks through to supreme, their brain gets impervious to slave seal’s mind control, unless a guy who performed the seal is ridiculously powerful.
He felt hatred for himself because once a mighty Supreme has now reduced to a child snatcher. He was ashamed to do a thing like this. Even though he works for the demi-humans, still his heart remained on the human side. That’s why he wanted to negotiate with Roger Dream to maintain a neutral relationship during the war.
“You, get your hands off me. I want to go to my big brother” Tina shouted at him.
“Brat! Just shut up for a second, I won’t hurt you I promise,” He sheepishly replied. But Tina still made a racket.
The middle-aged man closed her mouth with his Qi and made her sit on a rock.
Quickly he heard a voice of Roger Dream shouting “Get away from her.”
Roger ran towards them at full speed, but surprisingly the kidnapper let Tina off. Tina after getting her freedom jumped into Roger’s embrace.
Roger was surprised and confused at the same time as he looked at the middle-aged man.
The kidnapper without delay introduced himself “Hello! My name is Sulrien. A slave of the demi-human race and I am sent here as a representative to negotiate with you. And I apologize for the previous rudeness.” He asked.
Roger carefully observed him and nodded “Speak!” He said and gave Tina to Lisa.
“Demi-Humans knows about the divination and also knows that the person in the divination is you. So we came here to request that you would keep your side neutral in the upcoming Race war.” He said.
“Race War?” Roger was confused.
“Yes! Within a decade wars will start but don’t worry the wars will not happen at the Dracos planet, but at a place which is 100 times larger than Dracos,” he said.
Roger was curious after hearing him, but he didn’t ask further.
“Okay, I will not choose sides,” he said plainly.
Sulrien was speechless by his quick reply and didn’t know what to say further.
Looking at him being silent Roger took his leave with the ladies.
“Wait! How could we believe you? What if you go back on your word?” he replied in a panic.
“That’s your problem, not mine,” Roger said indifferently and was trying to summon his spaceship to escape.
Seeing Roger fidgeting his fingers, Sulrien shouted, “Don’t think of escaping. This whole place is blocked by my sovereign force. And it’s separated from the outside world. Your message talismans won’t work here.” he said.
Roger was shocked and knew why Qing’er hadn’t arrived yet. It looks like his messages were blocked from the start.
Roger’s ring also wasn’t working thereby he couldn’t control his spaceship.
Sulrien again shouted “If you want me to believe you, then take a Blood oath that you will not participate in upcoming wars and then I will let you and the ladies go.” he was saying that, but inside he was panicking as he knew the Soaring Dragon clan might have sensed something and should be rushing here.
He’s wasting a lot of Sovereign force to keep this space separated from the outside world. He knew that nearby Sovereign might’ve already sensed his aura and rushing towards him. He had to finish this quick or he would die.
“Why if I don’t?” replied Roger.
Roger replied without fear because he knew Qing’er might’ve sensed this anomaly and started contacting her clan. So he wanted to waste time as much as possible.
He didn’t have a single thought of fighting him because he knew that guy was a Supreme after confirming it with Kanna.
Sulrien knew that Roger was wasting time deliberately, so he attacked him without a second thought. Roger wasn’t afraid as he willed his dimension treasure to suck the four of them inside. But the shocking thing was his dimension treasure also stopped working.
“The map is only a gateway to the dimension since we are inside his domain the dimension treasure won’t work. So do something else quick.” Kanna replied in a panic.
“What?” he shouted and used his hands to make a sign that he surrender.
Sulrien stopped for a second but changed his mind and continued his attack. Roger felt danger and felt close to death once more. He knew that if he got hit by his attack, his body would blow into pieces. Even though he was wearing the armor it still can’t protect his body from rebound force. As he is contemplating for a way to escape, Liliana quickly jumped before Roger to block the attack with her body.
“Boom”
Roger looked at Liliana and felt the world stopped in front of him. He looked at her as she was falling lifelessly. Lisa also wanted to block the attack with her body, but she had Tina on her hands. Roger gave her Tina’s hand while walking away from Sulrien so she couldn’t make in time but Liliana jumped in front of him to protect his life.
Sulrien at the time was quite weak as he was maintaining the barrier with his Sovereign force. So his attack was at the level of a Sovereign King. But Liliana was only an Initial Sovereign stage expert, and his attack was more than enough to fatally wound her.
Sulrien clicked his tongue and again launched an attack, but Lisa quickly took Roger and dodged. Roger still looked at Liliana who was laying on the ground with blood all over her face. He felt a pain in his heart looking at her.
Sulrien was quite irritated as he quickly wanted to finish this and return.
As he was launching on another attack, he suddenly felt tremors on the ground. He looked at the sky, a big hand at a size bigger than the mountain tore off his barrier like a plastic bag making him cough blood due to rebound.
On the sky, a little girl was floating in mid-air together with Qing’er. The little girl looked the same age as Maria, but a terrifying power emanated from her making people not underestimate her.
Roger was shocked; he felt the same way looking at the little girl as he felt with Fengxin. That means she was an Immortal Realm Expert.
Qing’er shocked looking at Liliana and shouted “Lily.”
Roger stopped staring at the girl and quickly ran towards Liliana.
He put her head in his lap and checked for her pulses. He felt a weak pulse running through her. He relaxed a bit and took ten pills from the bottle and fed her. But strangely it didn’t work.
Kanna said “It’s no use, her neck is injured. She probably can’t feel her mouth. Without swallowing the pill, she won’t be able to digest it.”
The little girl came down with Qing’er, but she didn’t bother about Liliana as she walked towards the Sulrien who was trying to escape. She looked at with a surprised face with mixed emotions.
“So it is you Sulrien, I thought you died in the previous war, but I never thought you would become a slave for the demi-humans,” said the little girl.
Sulrien knew he didn’t have any chance to escape in front of the little girl. So accepting his fate, he faced the little girl.
“Master, you still look young as ever,” said Sulrien with a smile, shocking everybody except the little lady.
