Talent Store - Chapter 1
Prologue
There was an emergency, said the border guards of the Valencian Empire. This is because search crews who patrolled the border early in the morning returned miserably.
Less than thirty people remained out of hundreds, and even those who came back alive had no limbs. Bailey, the garrison’s captain, went to the ward to see a bunch of red faces.
“The Rhine Empire, those damn motherfuckers!”
A month has passed since the war with the Rhine Empire broke out. It happened unprecedentedly with the other border guards, but Bailey was furious with the first battle under his jurisdiction.
In the room where Bailey visited, Ralph, the captain of the search team, was lying.
Bailey felt sorry for Ralph, wearing a bandage full of blood and his eyes out of focus.
However, he asked Ralph because he had to do something as the captain of the garrison.
“What happened?”
The search crew was all mesmerized and said,
‘I saw a monster.’
The emergence of a new weapon was not good news for the Valencian Empire.
He felt sorry for the injured, but somehow, they need to come up with a way to fight the new weapon.
So he came to those who have not yet been treated. Ralph responded to Bailey’s question, revealing a sorry heart.
Gradually, Ralph’s pupils survived and headed for Bailey.
“I will use memory regeneration magic. This must be approved by Captain Bailey himself.”
Bailey’s expression hardened. Memory regeneration was very dangerous magic. It is a magic that can reproduce the memory of the subject through a video. Still, it is a magic that directly affects the brain, so there is a risk of insanity.
Ralph was willing to do it, although it was a magic that could lead to extreme mental disorders.
Aside from worrying about Ralph, Bailey was anxious about the truth that Ralph wanted to show him even at the cost of sacrifice.
“There was a monster. It was so powerful that we were in danger of being wiped out. If it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t be able to come back alive.”
Bailey couldn’t understand Ralph’s words properly. However, the truth was soon confirmed through the memory regeneration magic, Bailey could not hide his feeling of amazement.
He was worried about the enemy’s new weapon, but what really surprised him was the mysterious character who appeared at the end of his memory.
He was extraordinary.

It was a dark battlefield. As a warrior of Valencia, they fought bravely, but the enemies were more powerful.
Ralph knelt and vomited blood. He wanted to get up right now and kill one more enemy, but his body did not follow him.
With an agonized heart, Ralph bit it. The feeling of self-destruction overwhelmed him as he sat down without power.
“Ah.”
It was then.
Ralph’s vision of despair was alien.
The person wearing a dark-black mask was walking with a sword hanging on his side. If he wasn’t from the Valencian Empire, he would have been from the Rhine Empire, but it didn’t seem that way either.
He could be sure that it wasn’t an enemy because the masked man wielded his sword against the Rhine Empire. He stopped the Rhine Empire troops amazingly.
Like a whirlwind with a sword, he had the Rhine Empire troops suddenly shedding blood.
Awkward!
“Great!”
At one point, everyone’s attention was focused on the masked person. The Rhine Empire troops, who were dealing with the defeated soldiers, made a joint attack around the masked man.
However, they did not become worthy opponents. The masked person counterattacked, avoiding the attack of the enemies, as if doing acrobatics.
There were no hesitations in the masked man’s hands, and every time he wielded the sword, two or three heads of the Rhine Empire troops flew.
The Rhine imperial forces couldn’t believe what they saw as the masked man stormed their whole troop.
His presence was a disaster for the Rhine Empire. Like the reaper of death, the masked person harvested the lives of the enemies with every step he made.
“Monster, it’s a monster!”
“Stop!”
Suddenly a fear arose in the eyes of the Rhine Empire. Still, they did not retreat.
They believed that their weapons would lead them to their victory in this battle. The armory rushed to annihilate the masked person.
Thump!
Soon there was a huge battle.
The ground was turned over by the armory, and the masked man’s sword tore the atmosphere.
Quawa Gwang!
Sugargak!
The weapons of the Rhine Empire were powerful, but the flaming aura of the masked sword was compelling.
Whenever his flaming aura flickered, the ground swallowed the weapons. The sword of a masked man who stormed like a storm eventually broke the armor.
Despair arose on the face of the Rhine Empire as their weapon collapsed. They had no power.
“Alas!”
“It’s all done…”
The Empire said it was invincible. He was assured that at least one troop had to be mobilized to deal with one weapon, but now only one was hit.
It came as a tremendous fear for the Rhine Empire. The thought of the masked men was unbelievable to them. Their morale fell, and they fled the battle.
Those who had lost their will were quickly scattered. Ralph, who was watching the situation from start to finish, said with a quivering voice.
“This, this is… … .”
A little while ago, he thought the masked man was an enemy. The black mask that drove the enemies was more potent than anything else.
Ralph was fascinated by the masked man, forgetting what he was going through.
“Who are you?”
He asked the question without knowledge. It was a word that spontaneously jumped out of his mouth because curiosity was in his mind’s depths. However, the masked person did not answer Ralph’s question.
The masked man quietly looked down at Ralph. A simple question stirs up the mind of the masked man.
‘Who am I?’
Masked people also have original names. In his original life, the people around him did not look at him with an awe-inspiring gaze like Ralph.
They criticized him as Dunjae and compared him with a genius. Ralph’s gaze felt a little surreal, but the masked man quickly uttered it.

No matter how people looked, nothing changed. When he wears a mask, he walks differently than usual, but the subject who does it does not change.
‘If it hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have been here now.’
A Masked man.
Evan was reminiscent.
That day changed his whole life!
