Tales Of Mc - Chapter 10

After Indy told me they were coming, I pulled out the Sand Wyrm’s head and sat on it. I decided to face them as they were coming. Luckily, the Northern Lights was shining behind me, so that looked cool as well.

I knew winds were gonna blow as well, so I kept my Item Box open, so that the winds wouldn’t affect me in a 6ft. Radius.

After preparing all this, I waited for them to arrive. My first human contact in this world.

“Who dares disturb me?” (MC)

The group riding the Sand Lizard, all gulped. A hooded person, who looked like their leader walked forward.

The hooded person walked forward, and stopped a few feet from the Lizard.

“Are you the Hero?”, a female voice echoed. It sounded sweet like music.

Should I say Yes. or No.

After a moment of silence, “Why do you want to find the hero?” I decided to use my deep voiced and asked back.

The tension in the air was thick. My voice echoed and reached them. There was a moment of hesitation on the other side. Then even I began to feel the determination in the woman’s voice as it echoed back,

“Please help us, Hero-sama!”

Her voice reached me. It was full of emotion, pleading me. She got down on one knee and bowed her head. I couldn’t see her face, due to her hood but I could almost imagine tears running down her face ( a face I haven’t seen yet ).

“You want the Hero’s help? Why?” (MC)

“Only Hero-sama can save us now.” She replied almost instantly.

Something weird is going on.

“Let me get this straight. You want the Hero’s help.” (MC with deep voice)

“Yes” the woman replied.

“You don’t want to do anything to the Hero do you?” (MC with deep voice)

“Never! We would never do anything to the Hero-sama!!” She denied vehemently.

“Are you sure?” (MC with his deep voice)

“I put my life on the line and promise!” Her voice teared up.

“Phew! Thank God!” The tension in my voice disappeared. I didn’t realize that I spoke out loud.

I put the Wyrm’s head back in the Item Box and walked down the dune.

When I reached down, I could see her face clearly. She had green eyes and blonde hair, and a really beautiful face. A face that would make your heart skip a beat.

But my heart didn’t skip a beat. Due to two things.

One, her ears. They were pointy and stood out. Elf ears. Wow, the first person I met is an elf.

Two, her face. She had this dumbfounded expression on her face as she was looking at me.

“Something wrong?” (MC asks, tilting his head)

She didn’t reply. None of them replied. I found out later that, I changed suddenly from a divine being to normal person so fast, that they couldn’t process it so fast.

“Hero-sama’s voice is different” She spoke after gathering some courage.

“Oh, that! I was just trying to intimidate you guys.” (MC)

“Why?” (Leader Girl)

“To scare you away if you were kidnappers.” I spoke out confidently.

They had this look of confusion whether I was a genius or an Idiot.

“Who are you people anyway?” (MC)

“We are survivors of the Normida Empire, Hero-sama.” The woman answered respectfully.

“Actually, you don’t need to be so respectful. It’s alright to talk to me normally.” (MC)

“…As you wish. Might we know, Hero-sama’s name?” She asked me.

“Oh, I forgot! The name’s Cristo. Monty Cristo. ” (MC)

“And you are?” (MC)

“Forgive me Hero-sama. My name is Anissa Normida. I am the Empress of Normida.” She replied.

“wai, wha- ?” (MC)
