“But… It’s like you are Invincible… and only at level 40… an ability like this shouldn’t exist.” Anissa stuttered. Even when she saw David’s skill a long time ago, it wasn’t as inconceivable as this. In fact, no hero was ever recorded to have a skill like this.

This would completely turn around her view of the world. But, little did she know that this wouldn’t be the first shock that this annoying brat would bring her.

As she was still regaining a calm frame of mind. A voice rang out in both their minds.

In fact, it rang out in the minds of everyone in the world.

Blurahl Empire

In the castle of the Emperor, numerous shouts of disbelief rang out. People started panicking, and soon a big disturbance was created.

“What did Jenny-sama do?”

“Hero-sama just…”

Deep in the castle, in the chambers of the Emperor, The current Emperor of the largest human empire, Rigurend Blurahl was laying naked, comfortably in his bed. He was surrounded by nude women, all his slaves, who were massaging various parts of his body in various erotic poses.

“That girl, she pulled off something impossible, huh? No matter. By using either Decidus or Ortorus, I’ll end up controlling her.

And, with a hero as a puppet, I’ll defeat the Demons and conquer the world!” (Rigurend Blurahl)

In various corners of the world similar reactions of shock and disbelief appeared.

This change in the laws of the world affected everyone.

By removing the status system, the Str, Agi, and other parameters won’t just increase by killing monsters.

People will have to actually train to get powerful.

Though all previous stats may remain, further growth will only occur by hard work.

And stats won’t help in saving lives anymore.

A hit to the vitals will kill the strong, even when fought by the weak with better skills.

In fact, the situation favoured Assassins the most. Now they could easily kill targets of higher stats without having to match them in strengths.

Skills didn’t disappear too. They remained, but could now be considered as an individual’s Special Ability.

The appearance of these and more changes would cause chaos in the world for many days to come.

Except for one place, on the world, everywhere else was in chaos. But, in that place, the people went on with their daily lives like usual. Nothing in the outside world affected them.

That place, was the land of the elves..

There was one another entity, which wasn’t under much panic. They were the Temple of Elements.

The Temple of Elements headquarters, located in the heart of the Grey Sky Continent, is the current place of residence of the Hero Juan Puertos.

The new Hero is an individual, with complete Elemental Mastery over all the elements of the world and as such he was highly coveted by the Temple.

The higher ups of the Temple were planning to use him as a figurehead to spread their teachings across the world, right before Jenny Redthread did her Hero’s Sacrifice.

Currently, they were vexed and having a discussion for proceeding.

“What are we going to do now?” (Mob Elder)

“Our previous plans have to be scrapped completely. The Hero’s Sacrifice is something that can only be used once in the Hero’s lives. Most Heroes save it for use right before battling the Demon Lord.

But since it has been used now, either the other Hero is an imbecile or she had apt preparations in place for such a change.

Considering the timing of such a decision and the absence of the Summoning Light, we can assume this. The Hero, Jenny Redthread, is not in the Grey Sky Continent and has to be in one of the other continents.” (Intelligent Elder)

“You are correct. But we have another matter of equal importance as well.” (Female Elder)

“What is it?” (Mob Elder)

“The third hero, Monty Cristo. We need to find. out to where he was summoned.” (Female Elder)

MC didn’t know that during that moment right before he got sent down, when he revealed his name to both the other heroes, they would remember it and pass it to the people who summoned them.

Now both the Blurahl Empire and The Temple of Elements knew of his existence and nothing of his whereabouts. Both were searching for him so that they could get One more Hero on their sides and surpass the other.

A day passed and as the shock of a change was progressing across the world, a new phenomenon occurred again.

People of all nations and races heard the same voice as before in their minds.

**By using Hero’s Sacrifice, The Hero Juan Puertos has changed a fundamental law of the world in exchange of losing hearing in one ear.**

“Whaaaaaat?”

“So sooon?”

“Are they all mad?”

Multiple voices of shock rang out.

Deep in the land of the elves stood a Gigantic tree, that reached beyond the clouds. It was so huge, that if it was completely removed, a town could be built in the place occupied by its stem.

Each of its branches could be counted as thick as regular trees.

And on one of those branches sat a couple, watching the skies.

One of them of them was a female of otherworldly beauty and aura, her appearance often worshipped as Godly.

She is known as the Queen of the elves, their almighty ruler, the heart of their world and ruler of all the elves.

Around the spot where she was sitting, small flowers of incredible beauty bloomed. Those flowers were so beautiful, they would put the finest jewellery and diamonds to shame. Her garb was so ephemeral, even the most focussed minds would fall into illusions of forests when looking at it.

On her lap lay the resting head of a male elf, who was clothed in a tight garb of black and blue, his closed eyes making his expression look like a calm man of incredible pride and authority. When you look at him, you could see that his veins were slightly glowing.

What one wouldn’t realise was that, in his veins, instead of blood, flowed lightning.

To the elves, he was their divine guardian, their Immortal protector, the husband of their supreme leader.

To the outside world, he was the strongest in existence, the one whom all in the world acknowledged as the Lighting King, master of this world’s Lightning.

“Amusing.” He spoke without opening his eyes.

“Indeed.” spoke his wife. Both of them were thinking about the actions of the two new heroes.

Due to the actions of the heroes, the status system of this world was removed.

Now, all beings can become stronger beyond their races limits.

This was most beneficial to the Lighting King, previously despite his level limit was undefeated in battle.

Now, he could grow even stronger than before.

It is to be noted that, In the entire history of the elves, only five were ever killed. Four of them were traitors to their race and were killed by the elves themselves. The fifth was a level reaching magician who sacrificed himself to create turn the Normidan Empire into a desert, the Emperor of Normida, who was also the son of the Lighting King and Queen of the elves.

This low rate of death was contributed to two factors,

One, their life spans. All elves are Immortal.

Two, the terror brought by the Lighting King.

Any attack on the elves was always repaid in tenfold by the Lighting King.

So, everyone in the world had an unspoken rule. Don’t fuck with the elves.

As the Lighting King laid in rest, he sensed his love’s mind wandering.

“What vexes your mind, darling?” He asked her.

“The thoughts about our daughter-in-law and our grandchildren.” She answered gazing into the distance.

“It cannot be helped. As long as that girl Anissa maintains her stubbornness, I cannot welcome her.” He replied still, keeping his eyes closed.

The creation of the Normidan Empire was a matter which was very problematic to him. His son who was the prince of all elves, left their homeland to create his own Empire and never returned or contacted them ever again. Years later, when he sacrificed himself for his subjects, they both felt their hearts breaking.

Ever since then, the remnants of Normida were secretly protected by the Lighting King, without their knowledge.

But this matter wasn’t open to the public privy.

Just as they were thinking about such matters, for the third time in the same day a voice rang out in their minds.
