Tales Of Mc - Chapter 16
**By using Hero’s Sacrifice, The Hero Monty Cristo, can use a wish of his choosing…..
….. to be used at a time of his choosing…..
in exchange for his qualifications…as a Hero.**
Many echoes of “What the hell?” rang out across the world.

The Thunder King who was laying down chose to smile at the moment the announcement rang out in his mind.
His wife was giggling and an amused look appeared on her face.
“Intriguing indeed.” The Thunder King laughed.

Due to the nature of the wish, besides the fact that Monty Cristo was the third Hero (formerly), a new breed of chaos will soon be born.
Most people didn’t even know of the existence of a third hero.
Nobody could’ve ever predicted that the third hero would pull off a wish like this.
And due to the wish like this, he could essentially ask for anything from the world, though just once.
Something like this was completely unheard of and was mind-blowing to the extreme.
No one could even call him a fool for sacrificing his title as a Hero. Because what he gained in return, was of equal value.
The wish of the former third hero completely overshadowed the other two hero’s wishes.
With the wish of Jenny Readthread, the limitations of status for every being in existence were removed. Now that levels did not exist, only power and strength in numbers did matter in the world.
This wish did both harm and good to all who were affected.
The wish of Juan Puertos, to change the natural law of the world in his proximity, shockingly established his power and birthed a new fear in everyone. No one could take him on in battle and his power is undeniable and probably unchallenged, maybe except by the Thunder King.
But the wish of the third Hero would trump them all.
A wish that could be used at any time and place of the users choosing. Initially, it could be thought that this wish is simple and uncalculated. But the shrewd nature of this wish would prove that, as long as anyone could get in the good graces of Monty Cristo, they would be associated with a man who can ask for anything from the world.
What could also be noted was that, while Jenny Redthread sacrificed her sight in an eye and Juan Puertos sacrificed his hearing in an ear, Monty Cristo was still perfect and healthy.
Both the Blurahl Empire and Temple of Elements revamped their search for him. Now that he wasn’t a Hero, no one would blame them for turning him into a slave. After he becomes a slave, they could use his wish for their plans.
It was a race against time and each other for them. Soon, the world began to hunt for the whereabouts of Monty Cristo. Rewards appeared for any random clue or signs of him. But all efforts proved to be in vain as no one could find even a remote trace of him.
Slave trading organisations began creating imposter Monty Cristos for the sake of the rewards.
Since nobody had ever seen him, no one could even speculate his age or appearance. A new wave of slave trade spread across the world. Men and children would be captured and renamed Monty Cristo by slave traders to be sold to the highest bidder.
Even if the status system was revoked, the presence of [Appraisal] still existed and this was the method that they came up with.
Due to this new influx in the slave trade, the economy boomed for a while. Both the Blurahl and Temple of Elements learned from their respective Heroes that Monty Cristo was a man, 20 years of age at his time of summoning and that he possessed an S-class or higher ranked ability. This was speculated as both the Heroes had an A-class ability and at the time they were summoned, they learned that Monty Cristo was transported to a region of higher difficulty due to the rank of his ability.
Soon, they reached the conclusion that he might be in the Black Lands continent. Though the Black Lands were under the control of the demons, both the Empire and the Temple had some limited influence there. Soon, their search began to limit itself to the Black Lands.
The elves did not make a move despite all of this ruckus. And nobody ever screwed with them.
Monty Cristo sat in his room in Anissa’s mansion, relaxed and completely oblivious to the ruckus he caused, and with absolutely no clue.
That he had become.
