“Wait, what did you say? Aunt Laura tried to scare you?” Ava frowned and asked

When Elsa sighed, Nick asked, “Did she come to the office?”

“Yeah, she entered my room and tried to convince me that Calvin won’t marry me. She also gave me a cheque to leave him.” Elsa

helplessly shook her head and said

“What? Is she counting her death?” Nick scrunched her eyebrows and asked

“She told that Anna and Calvin are getting engaged.” Elsa sighed and said

“In her death bed. What did you say to her?” Ava asked

“I snapped at her too. I told her that I won’t leave Calvin no matter what.” Elsa told everything that between Laura and her.

“Good. You did a great thing. She needs some good beating too.” Nick frowned and said

“Yeah, I never expected she is so bitchy.” Elsa said

“She is stupid and arrogant, babe. She walked from the room because she knew Calvin won’t support her. She is scared of Cal.” Ava chuckled and said

“I know. I can’t understand why everyone wants my Calvin. Now, all the girls in my department are taking his physique. Do you think this is fine? How can I tolerate them?” Elsa frowned and asked

“This is happening because of you both. You both love Calvin a lot, why don’t you propose to him?” Nick asked

“I—What If he rejects me?” Elsa pouted her lips and said

“Do you think he will reject you? He is head over heels of you El.” Nick sighed and said

“I am his best friend. I know about him more than he knows about himself.” Nick chuckled and said

“Will it look good if I propose him? I mean, what if he misunderstand me?”

When Nick gave her a werid expression, she pouted her lips and said “I am scared okay.

You both are scared to propose, how do you manage to make love in future?” Ava frowned and asked

“Seriously babe, is it necessary to discuss it here?” Elsa frowned and asked

“I was worried about my best friend okay.” Ava pouted her lips and said before side hugging Elsa

“El, why don’t we tell about aunt Laura to Calvin?” Nick asked

“What? Are you serious? You know him, right. I don’t get shocked if he kills her.” Ava chuckled and said

“Yeah, I am not concern about aunt Laura. I am just worried about Cal.” Elsa smiled and said

“Your wish but think again El. If you won’t make him yours then they are many who can make him his.” Nick warned her

“No, I won’t let that happen. I will propose him soonly.” Elsa said in a firm tone

“Hey Mary, you are looking beautiful.” Laura smiled and said when she looked at Mary who is getting ready for some function

“Yeah, I know I am beautiful and sexy. May I know for what good reason you visited us?” Mary didn’t look at her and asked

“I —I want to say something to you,” Laura said

Looking around, she asked, “Where is brother Arthur?”

“He is—Ahh, there is my handsome hubby.” Mary smiled and said

“Hey Laura, how are you?” Arthur smiled and asked

“I am fine.” Laura smiled and said before sitting on the couch.

“I want to talk about something.” Laura sighed and said

“Yeah Laura, what happen?” Arthur asked

“It’s about Anna’s engagement with Calvin.” Laura smiled and said

Pausing for a while, she said “We already decided to marry them. So, what are we waiting for? I mean Calvin is twenty-seven years old. They are working together, if we get them engaged in this week, we can arrange a grand wedding later on.”

“Since we are from the bride side, we have to make a move, right?” Laura smiled and said

“I knew it.” Mary frowned and said

“Mary—”

Glaring at Arthur, Mary snapped “If you interpret me, I won’t mind throwing you out of my house.”

Looking at Laura, she said “What did you say? We already decided to marry them. Did we that we are okay with your marriage proposal? Did we give any kind of nod for your stupid proposal? No right, how can you even think about marrying my son to your daughter?”

“Mary, they are best friends —”

“They were best friends. They were quite close during their college days but not more. Anyway, who are you to decide my son’s wedding?

Neither you nor I have a right to decide to whom Calvin should get married. It was him to decide which girl is perfect to him.” Mary shouted

Pausing for a while, she said “Calvin already decided his better half. You better stay away from him.”

Holding Arthur’s hand, she said “We are getting late for the party. Let’s go.”

“Mary, Anna is like your daughter. You can’t break her heart.” Laura said

Mary rolled her eyes and said “Yeah, she is like my daughter. So, I told her to stay away from the man who doesn’t love her but she is so desperate to marry Calvin which can never happen. It’s her stupidity to love my son not mine.”

“You are doing this for that commoner, right? She never gonna stay with Calvin. She is just after his money.” Laura shouted

Mary frowned deeper and said “Okay fine, you are so desperate to make my son as your son in law, right? You can take him right away, you can convince him and make him marry your daughter but he is never gonna be my son anymore. I mean, he is no more CEO of Lewis corporation.”

“In your words, he is just a commoner. Will you marry your daughter to a commoner?” Laura asked

“I—” When Laura didn’t say anything, Mary chuckled and asked “Why are you hesitating? Your daughter loves Calvin, right? I am giving my son, you can arrange a grand wedding for them.”

When Laura didn’t say anything for a long time, Mary helplessly shook her head and said “You can’t marry your daughter to commoner. You want a millionaire. You are greedy, Laura. Trust me, if I say one day your greediness will take everything from you.”

She then sighed and walked away from the mansion along with Arthur.
