Tales Of The Machine God - Chapter 8 Data Log 008
Jaxon and Pisces moved throughout the busy fortress, despite their seemingly perfect invisibility built from both magic and psionics they still stuck to the shadows of the newly risen metal structures. Silence dominated their space despite the loud noises of construction occurring around them. They stood roughly 20 meters from the envoy before Pisces separated from Jaxon. Protected from sight by both magic and psionics should have left Pisces a faint shadow of a memory, however, envoys were anomalies unknowns that could never quite be pinned down.
As Jaxon arrived directly before the body of the envoy he began to reach out with his mind, searching for any signs of the mental disturbance he noticed earlier. Despite what many thought of psionics and psions their abilities were not simple mind tricks, rather psionics was the art of traversing the astral the realm of thoughts, dreams, and monsters. Psions were born with the natural ability to see and manipulate this realm to minor degrees, however, the first step for any trained psion was how to step into this realm for even greater control. Pisces began the process of sending his mind to the astral sitting right before the unmoving envoy, putting his trust in the abilities of the rouges behind him.
Pisces stepped into the astral and was shocked by what he saw. Before him stood a monolith, the largest permanent structure he had ever seen in the realm. Even his teacher the royal Archpsimage was only protected by small mental walls that became ever more twisted by the surrounding realm as they distanced themselves. Standing in awe before the monolithic structure before him he soon heard a voice enter his mind.

After the smelter and foundry areas of the base were constructed, work on the basic structure of his future body could begin. It would take far longer than Samuel would like but would ultimately be worth it. The ability to move around and work on small and delicate projects was exciting. He even began working on the uniform that was described in the blueprints by sending out drones to search for materials needed for canvas and dyes. Absorbed in the creation of his new body Samuel began to ignore the actions of the soldiers on the far off hill. Until they decided to intrude into his settlement and Chronos spoke out his complaints.

Deep within the mental space that housed both Samuel and Chronos a small form moved quickly looking over various screens. This being was Chronos who despite being programmed to not feel emotions unlike its counterpart was feeling quite annoyed at the moment.
[Just do this]
[Just do that]

[just don’t let them interrupt me]
[not like their doing anything important as they should be]
[Hes supposed to deal with all the little bugs that start showing up]
[Hes the one programmed for that]
Despite his apparent annoyed grumblings, Chronos moved from screen to screen that displayed the actions and words of the soldiers in the past couple weeks. Searching for anything he could use for the diplomatic method he was supposed to use.

“Once again you all know that getting close to that thing means a very high chance of death right. There’s no coming back from it, not even a clerics resurrection or necromancers reanimation can go against an envoy”.

Pisces stood within the astral searching for a way to enter the monolith of defences that was the envoy. After about 10 minutes Pisces saw something about the monolith change. small openings appeared around the entirety of the monolith which seemed to dispense flying silver cubes similar to those that moved throughout the fortress. Pisces saw as the cubes moved to small points of light that corresponded to minds in the real world. 4 settled nearby, and what seemed to be a cloud of golems flew off to a large group of lights Pisces recognised as the fortress. Pisces quickly began returning to his body to see the effects of these mental constructs.
As Pisces arrived back in the real world he saw an unexpected sight. A screen from the voice of the world. That greeted him and all of the soldier’s sight.

That small box of text would change the world of Telus forever as the voice of the world spoke the words of the Machine God. Samuel, however, was oblivious to the world-changing events he had just ordered Chronos to commit as he focused on his behalf as he focused on his soon to be body. I guess I should figure out the first thing I want to make.

Cool, well that’s done.
