Tamer of Cosmic Beasts - Chapter 78
Baghi Tea continued.
“Tell me, who gave you the contract? If you do, I’ll lessen the pain I’ll inflict upon you.”
Shehneel Shodo shook his head.
“Sorry, that’s impossible.”
Baghi Tea shoved his spear forward but the leader of Death Gate dodged it, flying away and creating some distance. As he sensed his surroundings in mid-air, Shehneel’s face showed signs of tension. Baghi Tea flew after him. As they were floating above the ground and looking at each other, Baghi spoke.
“Do you believe my words now? You can’t sense five of your generals nor their minions, right? Only you and your weakest 7th general are still alive.”
Shehneel furrowed his eyebrows before asking.
“How do you know which generals were killed?”
Shehneel was familiar with the cosmic aura of his generals, so he could differentiate them by sense. However, an outsider like Baghi knowing exactly who died and who survived was a troubling matter for Shehneel.
There could only be two reasons behind it. One was that Baghi was actually very familiar with them and had kept an eye on them this whole time. That would explain having a similar level of familiarity with their aura. Yet this was very unlikely as Death Gate was the 2nd strongest assassination group in the whole district. They always kept themselves in darkness and attacked their target only when it was at its weakest. Just like they attacked Abran when everyone else was busy training. The 2nd reason could be that they had someone with the Psychic Law and they were using telepathy to communicate. In that case, the only question would be why would someone with the 2nd rarest mythical law be willing to serve this cursed city. While thinking through all this, he looked at Baghi and asked.
“How did you get someone with a Psychic Law? I am 100% certain the Tea Family doesn’t have anyone like that!”
“I have no reason to share any information with you.”
Baghi retorted.
“Haha, even though I am an assassin. I still care for young and talented prospects. Them being in this dead city will only stunt their growth and waste their potential.”
Shehneel replied.
“This dead city was about to revive but you destroyed it again!”
Shehneel squinted his eyes in annoyance.
“Oye Baghi, since when did you start being such a sentimental fool? I’m a goddamn assassin, I kill for money. I even took contracts from you as well. Did I ask the reason why you wanted them to be killed?”
Baghi was silent. Shehneel sighed loudly and continued.
“How about you tell me something and I’ll expose the one who sent us here.”
The 1st General of Death Gate was clearly very interested in this mysterious figure’s background. If Baghi Tea had such talents under his wing, then Shehneel thought he could have them as well. Even though his generals were now dead, leaving him alone, the Vampire was still sure that he could escape. His Wind and Darkness Laws would be perfect for that and he’d likely only receive minor injuries. He only had one thing on his mind, to find out from where and how Baghi got a hold of such a prospect.
Baghi laughed after hearing the terms of this bargain.
“What about your code of honour?”
Shehneel Shodo smirked in response.
“Hehe, my interest is more important.”
Baghi Tea’s laughing ceased and his face revealed signs of hatred.
“I’m sorry, but you won’t survive past today. You destroyed Abran’s downtown and murdered many people. Your fate was sealed the moment you stepped foot in this alley.”
“Alright then, kill me. I won’t fight back, but remember that I am the only one who knows about the contractor.”
Shehneel reminded Baghi.
“We already captured your 5th General, so you are not needed.”
The 1st general laughed.
“He knows nothing, they all just followed my orders. You know as well as I that I am the only one that met the contractor.”
Shehneel’s facial expressions grew graver as he spoke.
“You should thank your luck that you didn’t kill that 7th General, she is the only one other than me who knew about the contract.”
Baghi asked the System and his eyes widened when he found out that the 7th general was facing King Akash Tagar.
“Who is she?”
Baghi asked.
“I’ll tell you as a token of trust, she is the niece of the contractor. She came here to witness the mission’s accomplishment with her own eyes. My original 7th General remained at the headquarters.”
Shehneel was a famous assassin but he destroyed his morals and rules just for Baghi to spill the beans about that talent
*beep*
Then, a notification came and Baghi Tea palmed his face loudly.
*tsk, tsk, tsk*
Baghi tsked many times and removed his palm from his face to look at Shehneel before speaking.
“Sorry.”
Shehneel didn’t know what just happened, he only saw Baghi mumbling to himself and tsking.
[7th general of Death Gate, Sasha Gandraf has been killed by King Akash Tagar.]
That was the notification Baghi received before telling Shehneel.
“She is dead.”
“She who?”
Shehneel asked as his eyes widened.
“Your 7th general is dead, her name was…”
Baghi Tea opened the notification to confirm the name.
“Sasha Gandraf, she is dead…”
Baghi trembled as he looked at the screen once again and a cold chill ran down his spine.
“Sasha Gandraf…”
He murmured as he looked at Shehneel.
“Yes, you are correct. She was Sasha Gandraf, niece of Chand Gandraf. The mayor of Slave City.”
The hands of Baghi trembled even more, his enemy was one of the biggest dragons of this planet. After this realization, he could only mutter 2 words.
“My Liege…”
<A few moments earlier on Akash’s side>
The fight broke out between Akash and the female general named Sasha Gandraf, Hasnain and Bilawal flew to attack her but two people intercepted them to protect her. They were both Star Generals as well.
As they clashed, Akash was still staring at the female general. His All-Devouring Dwelling opened with a goldish light and the God Demon Panda stepped forward with his golden staff and roared, shaking the sky with his loud cry.
“Ponytail, kill that woman.”
Ponytail was shocked as well. Why was Akash, who was as much his father as his tamer, feeling so much anger and hatred at the moment? Despite his curiosity, he didn’t hesitate and immediately jumped at the woman while Akash faced a few of the weaker lackeys. The woman quickly opened her dwelling and called forth her beasts. She was at the 10th Star realm and brought 5 beasts out from her dwelling. It was a perfect lineup of beasts, all at the 10th Star realm just like herself. For the human standard of this planet, they were excellent beasts.
A tamer could tame 1 more beast with every 2 realms, those with the Summoning Law being the only exceptions. Sasha was at 10th Star realm, so she had 5 extraordinary beasts, at least for Planet Earth.
Akash looked at her and felt that she wasn’t simple, he ordered Ponytail to not hold back. The panda opened his mouth and sent a ying-yang blast towards them, scattering all the beasts. Following which, Ponytail held his staff as Laws of Darkness and Light manifested at one end.
Akash caught sight of that strange technique of Ponytail. His staff was turned into a spear, the now bladed part was made up of the Darkness and Light Laws, surprising Akash.
“With this skill, Ponytail could learn a variety of martial techniques.”
Akash Tagar was simply marveled by Ponytail.
Meanwhile, Bilawal and Hasnain were fighting toe to toe with the two bodyguards of Sasha Gandraf. They were using various skills but the bodyguards were strong as well.
Both brothers used the skill ‘Special Step’ and vanished for a moment, making the guards wonder. Right after, Bilawal appeared in front, surprising both. They thought their opponent had come with identical faces as Bilawal confused them. Making use of their brief bewilderment, Hasnain appeared at their back and slashed his glaive at one of them, cutting him in half from the elbow down. However, the other guard was still calm which surprised the twins. Then, he stepped back and opened his dwelling, while the brothers did the same. The guard and his beasts couldn’t stand for long against Bilawal and Hasnain before losing his life as well.
Witnessing this overwhelming attack, fear invaded Sasha as her heart sank. For the first time ever, she felt like her life was on the line, Ponytail was also killing all of his beasts one by one. He had mimicked only 3 weapons with his staff: a sword, a spear and a glaive. That was because these were the only weapons Ponytail had seen most in Carnage Prison.
Predictably, Sasha lost the battle and was captured. As she was sitting on her knees, Akash looked straight into her eyes and asked.
“Who sent you here?”
She chuckled.
“Like I would reveal that.”
~ZAPAAAK~
A crackling slap hit her cheek, making her brain tremble. It was not a slap of a mediocre 1st Star tamer.
“I’ll ask you again, who ordered you to attack this place?”
Sasha’s beautiful face was swollen a bit. She had an appealing body and during the fight, her clothes were torn as well. She thought of something and replied.
“Please don’t hit my face, I’m willing to do anything!”
She raised her chest to try and seduce Akash Tagar.
~ZAPAAK~
Another thunderous slap came and a few of her teeth came off of her gums.
