Taming The General’s Daughter - Chapter 10 The Madam General
Amanda wanted to welcome her only son with a bang but she was the one who was welcomed by it. When she received the news that Yohan is heading towards their home, she finished her work earlier so that she could spend time with him.
“What are you doing Bernard?” Amanda asked her husband while not sparing a glance towards Yohan.
“I’m just getting some information from him.” Bernard said. Though, Yohan seemed like he was reporting to his father, he knew that the man just wanted to know if he’s doing okay during these 10 years that he’s away with his family.
Amanda finally glanced at the young man who stood rooted in front of her husband.
She did not know how to approach her son because he did not grew up with her. She on the other hand was busy with her work as a general.
“How are you darling?” she asked in a flirty tone. Yohan looked at his mother with disbelief.
Amanda Yang is a well-known individual in terms of being cold and ruthless. She was the sole woman who became a major general of the second infantry battalion of Empire’s military.
As he was lost in his thoughts and he could not believe to see his own mother flirting with him, Amanda approached him while swaying her voluptuous hips exaggeratedly.
Even though he could not believe that his mother, the iron lady of Empire asked him with a flirty tone, he still manage to answer her.
“I’m okay mother. Good to see you.”
“Is that so? Hmmm? Do you have a girlfriend?” Amanda asked her son directly as she did not want to beat around the bush.
“That’s not possible for now.” Yohan immediately denied her. He could not count Jin Lei as his personal matter as she viewed her as his mission. Taming her is his mission and becoming her boyfriend is out of the job description.
“Is that so?” Amanda continued to ask him as she did not believe that her handsome son remained single during this entire time.
“Yes mother.” Yohan answered her firmly thus, she raised a brow while sparing a glance at him.
“Then, go meet your grandfather. He’s not young anymore and remember to follow his wishes as he did not have enough time to wait until you get married.” Amanda said and it sounded like it was an order.
“Yes mother.” Yohan began to pick up his belongings on the floor and a photo of a woman fell out from his bag without him knowing and Amanda carefully picked the picture up.
It was beautiful woman with blood red pupils and pale complexion. She had a bleached hair with green on it edges and what’s worse, she had tattoos all over her body.
It can’t possibly be the type of woman her son wanted. And if ever it will be, she will not permit it. No way.
Though the woman in the picture was beautiful but she looked at her again, she felt like crying. What if she’s his girlfriend and that his son was reluctant to introduce her to them because she was a emo-punk who loves tattoos and piercings.
But then, who is she to judge his preferences and question him.
“Yohan, wait.” Amanda wanted him to stop his tracks but then, Yohan disappeared like a ghost.
She held the picture in her hands like she was about to crumple it out of sheer anger and frustration. Her son dared to treat her like that.
Her son basically grew up without her beside him. He did not know what is a motherly love to begin with so she could not help but feel hurt for his son.
During the time that Yohan was still in Empire, she was always busy on missions and infiltrating enemy lines and so much more. So its no wonder that Yohan gave her a cold shoulder.
So many thoughts that had run through her head and Amanda forgot about the purpose of why she came back earlier. She was diverted by the fact that Yohan ignored her.
Bernard looked at her with pity. At least he was with his son during trainings and he considered it as his precious memories. He could only hug his wife from behind and console her but even before he could do so, he was already thrown by Amanda on the floor.
“Don’t pity me Bernard… I don’t need it.” Amanda walked out from their living room and proceeded to her own room to change.
Bernard could only shook his head with sadness,
