Taming The General’s Daughter - Chapter 8 Lost Contac
Yohan went back to the general’s mansion empty handed. He could not trace Jin Lei’s whereabouts.
‘I became rustic.’ he thought.

Jin Lei left after she downed the second bottle of soda. She rode her bike towards the other town next to the Empire’s capital. She wanted to know if her informant have the information about her mother. She had been investigating it for a long while now using another identity.
She deliberately did this to avoid suspicion of her father and now that Yohan is with them, she could not easily do her things like this from now on but she still had other plans for the man which by now is being fired with a stream of questions by her father.
“Lost contact? How come she disappeared? She did not do this before? How come you could not locate her? Am I wrong for hiring you? Ha?” General Jin bellowed with anger. He could not understand how her princess suddenly disappeared from their sights and no matter how many times he called her, she did not answer her phone.
It’s because her phone was left on her bed and she left it there intentionally.
Yohan could only bow down his head. He could not retort back to this domineering general. He could not deny the fact that he could not locate Jin Lei this whole day.
“I’m sorry sir.” he said bitterly. ‘Who told you to hire me? That crazy woman deserves some punishment!!!!’ if only he could be honest and blow his patience of like a birthday cake candle, he would have said this without any restraint.
It was near midnight when Lei came back from the town she went to. She did not know that she caused a lot of trouble from her disappearing act but even if she knew, she would not give a damn care about it.
She parked her bike at the garage and strode inside the mansion without alerting anyone but to her surprise, her father, General Jin Han had been waiting her at the living room. He, like any other general with such importance, produced a domineering aura that no one could disregard. Lei walked towards her father without care it was as if she did not care if she’s walking towards an angry bull.
She clearly knew that her father is quite angry but who is she? She’s the great Jin Lei and even if it’s a devil, she could pacify his anger with her means.
She walked leisurely towards her angry father.
“Dad? Why are you still awake? It’s late?” she asked with a concern in her voice. She knew that her father would be angry to her but cannot afford to see her upset.
“I’m waiting for you. Where have you been? Why didn’t you answer your phone?” he asked with an angry tone. He knew he have to toughen himself and not gave in to Lei so he harden himself to ask this.
“Dad, I was with Lou Wei… I missed him so I stayed with him and for my phone, I think I left it in my room. I’m sorry dad. I won’t do this again. I love you…” she said like she was really repenting her actions. She kissed her and hugged her father then looked at him with a repenting face. She knew her father would soften if he would see her like this. True enough, her father sighed and considered his defeat with her charm but even so, he could not let her know that he conceded already.
“Is that so?” the general asked with a trace of doubt in his voice. He knew that Lei had done something but he don’t know what it is so he could only speculate that it has to do with her mother.
“Yes dad, you could ask Lou Wei…” she said as she pushed all everything to the clueless Lou Wei.
With this, the general let her go.
“It’s late. Go to your bed now.” he commanded.
“Sir yes sir.” but she said it with a flirty tone. When she departed, Jin Han could only shake his head while looking at her departing back.
Yohan on the other hand, requested some time off after he received a call from his family saying that his grandfather has fallen ill and is on a critical stage.
