Tell Me Again My Love - Chapter 584
The next day
Ryn sighed as she looked at the bed cover’s state. It was ‘decorated’ with the makeup she wore last night. Even the comforter could not escape from being her victim. She checked her face in the mirror again and scolded herself for being so lazy. Her face has turned into an ugly ghost with the mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner and most importantly, the lipsticks, all smearer everywhere. She did not know where it began and where it ended.
Ryn scratched her head. Her hair also looked like it has been hit by a hurricane.
She was grumbling and scolding herself when she noticed what the time was. She gasped and quickly rushed into the bathroom for a quick wash.
She would be late if she still did not move.
The phone rang just as she walked back into the bedroom. She rubbed her wet hair as she went to retrieve her phone.
“Hello?”
“Hello, love. Good morning. Are you ready?” Jeremy asked cheerfully.
“Give me around fifteen minutes?” Ryn replied. Today she would follow Jeremy again to the office for her second day of learning what she should do during her practical training. The plan for today would be to follow Jeremy and Jacob to the meeting to see what she should do during it.
Hence, she planned to wear a smart long black pants with a long sleeve baby blue shirt decorated with flowers. She would put her hair into a bun because she did not have the time to straighten it.
It took her almost fifteen minutes to the last second for her to be ready. She took a long time to blowdry her hair and the rest was quite fast.
He was smiling when she opened the door. They shared a light kiss before he noticed her hairstyle.
“Do you need to look so proper?” he asked with a chuckle as his left hand reach to teach the bun.
“I want to look professional. What do you think?” she closed her eyes for a moment and opened them back. Her aura changed into a successful executive from an international company.
He looked at her up and down. The smile never left from curling his lips.
“Only you, my love, can be whoever you want to be,” he declared proudly. He tried to wrap his arms around her for another kiss but she stepped to the side to avoid him.
“Don’t wrinkle my clothes,” she ġrȯȧnėd.
He threw his head up and laughed. Could she be more adorable and lovely than now? The was she was throwing him a warning glare was so cute he wanted to kiss her more. However, he held himself because he did not want to ruin the loving moment like this.
“Fine. You win,” he said finally. He only could pinch her cheeks playfully in order to ease the urge for another kiss. Then, he put his hand on her back and led her to his car.
“We’ll have our breakfast first, then we will go to the first meeting,” Jeremy announced after he started the engine and adjusted the temperature. “Music?”
“Yeah, sure,” she nodded.
He chose a compilation of his playing piano and violin to accompany them through their journey.
Jeremy smiled when he saw what his girlfriend was doing. He drove the car carefully toward the restaurant he chose for their breakfast. He ignored the message from Jacob who was detailing him about his schedule for today in case he did not come to the office.
It took him about half an hour before they arrived. It was actually quite close to the venue where the meeting will be held. Jeremy parked the car before woke Ryn up gently with a light kiss.
“Have we arrived?” Ryn asked sleepily.
“Yes,” he answered simply. He helped to straighten her seat so she could look around and then went to open the door once he confirmed she was properly awake.
She accepted his hand and got out from the car. She arranged her blouse properly before took the handbag. Then, she let him lead the way to a restaurant.
“So today you will learn what to do during and after a meeting, right?” He asked after the waiter took their order.
“Hmm…” she nodded. She was actually in a daze, having a slight headache from the drink she had last night. Boy, when she was with Mika, it seemed like she has dropped all the wall and let loose, just drank like a fish in the water.
He smiled and reached to grasp her soft hand. He ċȧrėssed it gently, “How was last night?”
“It was okay,” Ryn replied. The magic show, gor her, just a usual magic routine with the dove, paper turns into red rose, cutting and making a man dissappear before he appears at the end of the hall. She saw the tricks so many times that she could not gorce herself to be excited, compared to her naive best friend, Mika, who can’t stop gasping and gaping as she watched the show full with excitement.
He chuckled to hear her response. Maybe because she always went around the globe and experienced so many things that it was hard to excite her. Everything for her was oksy or so-so. She even was not impressed with a rich man, thanks to her relationship with his family.
Their food arrived pretty soon so they stopped talking and focussed on their breakfast. Then, he paid the price and together, they walked back to the car.
In mere five minutes, Jeremy parked at the underneath basement. He watched as Ryn again adjusted her blouse before she took the file and a notebook. The file was given by Jacob yesterday while the notebook was the one she used to write down everything.
“Relax. Everything will be fine,” he dropped s kiss on her forehead to calm her down before he walked to the lift. He knew better than to hold her hand when she was already putting her professional executive look.
Now, he wondered whether she would be like that during her practical training? Giving out that aura and not allowing him to hold and love her during the working hour.
It would not help him with his plan to melt her heart completely.. Hmm… he needed to do something to change this.
