Tempting Bride - Chapter 13 Her Address

DREW
DREW COULDN’T REMEMBER the last time anyone had told him no.
It was unsettling.
Unthinkable.
Insulting.
“Did you have any other questions about my previous work experience, Mr. Montgomery?”
He lifted his gaze to the woman standing at the end of the conference tableher name escaping him. “No.”
She smiled and while her eyes were grey like Hannah’s, they held no passion for him. No emotion at all.
“Thank you so much, Ms. Martinez,” Blake said, opening the conference room door. “I’ll be in touch shortly.”
Ms. Martinez nodded happily. “Can’t wait to hear from you.”
His friend smiled charmingly, then shut the door firmly behind the woman, and leveled Drew with a look. “Guess she won’t do either.”
“I couldn’t remember her damn name.” Drew rubbed his temples. “My future wife should be memorable.”
Brow arching, Blake moved over to the conference table and sat on the edge. “There are literally no more names on the list for you to interview. We’re down to Hannah Miller.”
Drew exhaled thickly. “We’re not down to Hannah.”
“Oh?”
“She said no. In fact, she said she wasn’t interested in listening to anything I had to say.”
“That’s not a no.”
“That’s not a yes.”
Blake rubbed the side of his jaw. “I see it as more of a cooling off period, in which you learn some new things about Ms. Miller to incentivize your offer.”
“That would only help if I knew where she lived.”
“I have her address.”
“An address means nothing without the proper incentive.”
Blake grinned. “Would offering to pay off Ms. Miller’s massive student loan debt be incentive enough?” @@
