Tensegrity - CH 20
As soon as he sat in the sports car that was low and hard to make his buttocks feel cut off, the car smoothly went off as soon as he fastened the seat-belt.
Even before serving madam, Jun-Kyung used to drive various luxury cars, but most of them were heavy sedans. It was the first time he test drove this kind of sportscar.
Because of the vibration and noise, the ride quality is much worse than that of a luxury sedan in the same price range, but the more the car growls, the more Junkyung feels excited.
Hyun-woo noticed his interest in cars as he looked around and asked, “How is it? Isn’t it cool?”
“I had no idea such a car existed.”
“No matter what, I am still the son of the head of a chaebol.”
“Wow, that’s bad luck.” Giggling, Jun-Kyung asked, “But why haven’t you driven it until now?”
“It’s because it’s annoying when I go fishing. Everywhere I go, people would ask what I do for a living. A guy even curses me for using expensive things.”
“Oh.”
“Sometimes there are bastards who just want to eat on my back, so when playing alone, I pull up with a domestic car.”
In short, Hyun-Woo doesn’t want to stand out. He’s not just from a wealthy family but the youngest son of the head of a great conglomerate, so he attracts attention even when he’s standing still. There will be times when he doesn’t like it no matter how much of an iron nerve he has.
Jun-Kyung knew how clear it was when such interest sometimes went overboard. He’s personally experienced it, and he’s also a bodyguard hired to stop that.
“So, did you bring me along specifically for that reason?”
“Of course. What kind of person is our hyung Ho Jun-kyung? Don’t you know that I love you?”
Few people treat the staff who serve their mother so comfortably. Usually, consciously or unconsciously, there is a tendency to subtly engage in power game. In comparison, Min Hyun-woo had a very good personality despite his special living environment and his young age.
The restaurant they decided to go to today was a restaurant that handles all kinds of various meat. There was a parking spot, but it was mostly full even though it was still early in the evening. There are also a couple of people waiting for a seat to be available.
“I should’ve known this would happen when he didn’t take reservations.”
“Let’s go somewhere else.”
“No. The old guy said this place is really delicious.”
Hyun-woo insisted that restaurants recommended by the old men at fishing spots never fail.
If he wants to eat internal meat, he can go to a high-end Korean restaurant with a parking lot and an extra private room. Jun-Kyung didn’t expect the rich bastard to have some weird obstinacy, but he let him do whatever he wanted.
After waiting 40 minutes, Hyun-woo successfully packed the food and got into the car. The smell of greasy tripe was strong inside the huge sportscar.
The fact that he didn’t care whether the expensive car was dirty or smelled was like the son of a conglomerate. If Jun-kyung was the owner of the car, don’t even talk about meat, even bottled water is also prohibited.
“Where are you going now? Han River?”
“To my house.”
“For what fun?”
“For the fun of drinking? I’ve been thinking about it from the beginning.”
It was then that he realized why he had to come to the giblets house with his noisy car.
“What?” Hyeon-woo, who was pulling out the car, pretended to be innocent.
“You drove this car with the intention of getting to-go. Alcohol can’t be left out when consuming meat, so how can I entrust this car to you?”
“As long as one of us doesn’t drink, right?”
“You’re lucky.”
Hyun-Woo only smiled even though his intentions were discovered. Jun-Kyung doesn’t hate his cheekiness, so he laughed out loud. Even after knowing both older and younger brothers, there’s never been a time when the two drink alone.
They didn’t meet at home because they went to a restaurant and to be honest, they weren’t close enough to go in and out of the house.
If someone else had asked him to come, he would have refused. Since high school, he’s never stayed late at someone’s house.
‘Is this the first time drinking at someone else’s house since the omega expression?’
Even when he was in college, he never got caught up in a booze in my seniors and juniors’ rooms. If you blindly drink alcohol in a comfortable place, the limit is released, and it tends to lead to binge drinking, and binge drinking soon causes mishaps.
There was an incident where, while drinking at a regular pub in front of the school where students liked, a senior with a bad drinking habit got drunk and quarreled with Jun-kyung.
“Hey, does Omega feel that way even for men?”
Jun-Kyung answered with his fist. The senior cracked his jaw and had to take a semester off. Since then, Jun-kyung has refrained from drinking comfortably with male friends.
Of course, other people didn’t bother to call Jun-Kyung unless it was for an event. He doesn’t have a lover, nor does he have any special feelings for them. It was only recently that he start having fun while exploring restaurants thanks to Hyun-woo Min.
“Know that it is an honor to come to your house.”
“I know.” Hyun-Woo, who was very flattering, really treated Junkyung like a VIP. It felt good to be in the position of being served since he was always in the position of serving.
Hyun-Woo, wearing a comfortable white T-shirt and cotton pants, bought beer, soju, vodka, and cranberry juice, and greeted the convenience store owner.
“Why did you buy so much?”
“The only thing I drink at home is purified water.”
Judging from how he is, Jun-Kyung thought he was the type to drink at the house, but surprisingly, that was not the case.
Hyun-Woo’s familiar but awkward apartment complex was similar to Junkyung’s studio except for the size. The tidying up was not done by the person himself, but by a housekeeper who visited regularly.
He placed the bag he had brought on a marble island table, which was much more expensive than it appeared. Hyun-Woo, who volunteered to bring a heavy bottle of wine, took out a glass and ice. It was funny to see him ready to drink even though he usually doesn’t drink.
When someone laid a plate, Jun-Kyung couldn’t sit still. That was how he grew up in family and what he had learned from the unfair rebuke he had as an athlete. While the landlord was preparing to open a bottle, Jun-kyung took off the plastic wraps naturally.
“Hyung is a guest. Just sit still.”
“What guests? We are eating together.”
“Still.”
Hyun-Woo stopped him from using his hand and eventually took the bag of giblets to the sink. Jun-Kyung tried to help by taking out a plate but was pushed away.
“I’ll take care of it, so wash your hands and come.”
Jun-Kyung went to the bathroom as instructed. He couldn’t find any hand wash, so he just squeezed something and soaped it. The pale yellow transparent gel gave off a mellow odor. It was a very luxurious scent.
After he wiped his hands and came out, the table was set up nicely.
Did I say that clothes are wings? The wings of food were plates.
When the stir-fried giblets and grilled meat from a shabby restaurant was placed on a white porcelain plate, it looked like a great dish.
Silicone place mats and simple tableware were set up. Each one was as sophisticated as seen on an interior magazine set.
Without delay, Hyun-Woo immediately clapped the glass and drank it in one breath.
“Nice.”
“This is the taste.” Jun-Kyung chewed a piece of giblets while admiring the taste of cold beer that was chilled to the bone. Spicy and salty, the taste was palpable.
“It tastes better than it looks.”
“Right? It’s really delicious. The meat has no odor and is chewy.”
“Fill your glass a little more.” As he held out an empty glass, Hyun-woo picked up a bottle of soju and suddenly sniffed his nose.
“What?”
“Hey, give me your hand.”
Hyun-Woo caught Jun-Kyung’s hand and his nose brushed the knuckles of the fingers holding the glass. For a moment, an eerie displeasure crossed his spine. He pulled his hand back and set the empty glass firmly on the table.
“What are you doing?”
“Did you use what was in the bathroom?”
“Uh, why? Can’t I use it?”
Are you trying to accuse me of using expensive things? Jun-Kyung was about to say something about not being petty as a kid who drives hundreds of millions of a sport car.
“No, you can use it. It smells a bit…”
“What’s wrong with the scent? It smells good.”
“It’s kind of…never mind.”
“If you don’t like it, should I go back and wash?”
“No, no. It’s okay.”
Hyun-woo, who smiled awkwardly, poured soju into his glass instead of Jun-kyung’s.
“Hey, drink slowly.”
“I am at home anyway.” There is no need to drive since he can just fall asleep on the floor. Of course, Jun-Kyung was planning to leave at the right time.
Hyun-Woo who finished drinking half the glass looked up at Jun-Kyung.
Jun-kyung put down his glass and asked slowly, “What?”
“You know, what’s going on between Hyun-Seung hyung and you?”
