Tensegrity - CH 34
Jun-Kyung looked around for a while and admired it. It’s a personal room that is fully equipped with a ceiling air conditioner and air purifier. Sometimes, he stood on the machine and tried to move it a little bit.
“I can’t believe I can only watch this.”
Jun-Kyung was so sad that he felt like crying. But if something goes wrong while exercising, Executive Director Min will not stand still. Wasn’t the message Director Min was going to say on the way to work earlier was a warning not to go to the basement? If so, this may be some kind of test.
“I can’t.” Jun-Kyung forced himself to take a step back.
Shall I ask to watch the Executive Director Min working out later?
Jun-Kyung took the stairs instead of the elevator. As he climbed up, he came out into the aisle between the kitchen and living room. Next to the kitchen was a pantry and laundry room. There was nothing special about the space.
On the second floor, as he saw earlier, there are two small rooms in the main bedroom. One of them was a typical study. Whether Director Min works from home or not, the study consisted of a bookshelf and a simple desk and chair.
What was unusual was the 3rd floor. There was a doorway with black leather and thick gongs that looked like the entrance to a theater or concert hall in many ways. When Jun-Kyung opened it up earlier, it didn’t seem like a normal room.
“Is it the music room?”
The third floor was a whole space. There are two long, pencil-like windows towards the mountain, and they are so thick that they completely block out outside noise.
Since the walls are much thicker than the window frames, soundproofing is also provided. The facilities seemed better than any other studio recording studio.
Compared to the perfection of the space, the decorations provided were a bit unpretentious. There was a piano with an old music book with a yellow discolored tape, a small violin, and books that show traces of time everywhere.
“Did you use it when you were young?”
Among the chaebols, there are quite a few people who play musical instruments. Even if they are somewhat lacking in skills, they often holds concerts with the family’s money.
It was common for children in the family to learn to play musical instruments as hobbies. As Director Min was born in a chaebol family, it is likely that Executive Director Min also learned to play piano or violin.
Jun-Kyung thinks for a while of a young Executive Director Min playing the violin and quit. It doesn’t suit his image as a cold, blunt child.
Jun-Kyung didn’t have much to do after he had finished figuring out the inside of the house. The TV was in the bedroom. Since he doesn’t feel confident to lie down on the bed of Director Min’s room and watch TV, Jun-Kyung went down to the living room and lay down on the sofa.
“Oh, that’s right. I have to change clothes.”
It was more appropriate to borrow sportswear rather than pajamas. He knew it was in the basement, so he had to change quickly, but when he lay down on the sofa, it was too much trouble to get up.
He did a meaningless search on his cell phone, and then gave up and closed his eyes. What kind of sofa could be so comfortable?
He slept for a while and then decided to change his clothes late. It hasn’t been that long since Executive Director Min left, so there’s some room…maybe.
He closed his eyes for a moment without even having time to dream. But, he felt something. He doesn’t know if it’s because it’s someone else’s house, but his eyes lit up. A large figure entered the foggy vision. At a glance it was the Executive Director who was just reaching out his hand towards Jun-kyung.
“Uh…when did you come?”Jun-Kyung got up quickly and said hello.
“I just came. It’s not good to sleep here.”
“I’m sorry, but I was just gonna lie down for a while. But you came early.”
As if he had just arrived, Executive Director Min was dressed in a perfect suit without any mess. If Jun-Kyung had known he would come this early, he wouldn’t have slept. Putting aside his embarrassment, Jun-Kyung stood up awkwardly. Director Min picked up the cell phone that had been left on the floor.
“It’s past 10 o’clock now.”
“What?”
It was really well past 10 o’clock. Jun-Kyung was appalled not because of the time, but because of the 7 missed calls.
“You called…”
“I called because I thought I would be late for work. Just wanted to say don’t wait and sleep. I came in a hurry because I thought something was going on since you didn’t pick up.”
“I’m sorry.”
Jun-Kyung apologized and checked the phone settings. It was at maximum volume. However, he did not hear anything until Executive Director Min came. Can he sleep this deep? Why is he sleeping instead of waiting? He’s not qualified to work.
“I’m glad everything is fine. Don’t worry about it.”
“Yes.” Jun-Kyung also remembered belatedly about not using an expression of apology.
Director Min took off his jacket and placed it on his arm, pulling his tie slightly with one hand and unbuttoning his shirt. Then he glanced up and down Jun-kyung. He was like a designer making sure that precious project prototypes weren’t broken.
“The clothes.”
Jun-kyung, who had been standing politely in a guilty posture, raised his head and quickly got back down. A double curse came out. As if it wasn’t enough to miss 7 calls, but he was caught using Director Min’s personal belongings without asking.
“I couldn’t find my pajamas, so I took it out and put it on. I will change immediately.”
Instead of ‘I’m sorry’, this time with Jun-Kyung’s back bent 90 degrees.
“Raise your head.”
A large hand grabbed Jun-Kyung by the arm. When Jun-Kyung raised his back, he saw Executive Director Min’s face right away. The well-trimmed dark eyebrows showed a deep displeasure.
Jun-Kyung’s heart was pounding. He had nothing to say to defend himself even if he was called a thief. Why did he just wear it without using the civilization’s advantage of the telephone to ask for permission? It would be less strange if it was sportswear rather than pajamas.
“Don’t bow your head recklessly.”
Where did the talk about pajamas go? Suddenly the talk about posture came out.
“Mr. Jun-kyung Ho.”
It means that the judge is displeased when someone calls another person’s name by adding their last name.
Today, he thought about how to pass smoothly without receiving harsh reprimands. While his talisman tension rose sharply, Jun-Kyung let out an invisible sigh of disappointment with himself.
“I fully understand that it is difficult to suddenly do something that has never been done before. However, I had no idea that the understanding of the situation would drop this far.”
“I’m really sorry…”
“Mr. Jun-kyung Ho.” A sharp pitch was added to the wide and loud resounding voice as if exploring a deep cave.
Jun-Kyung didn’t know the ban on apology would become this frustrating. It was like a state that was hit by both infra-sound and very high frequencies at the same time. He had no idea where or how to jump. Everywhere was a trap.
“Do you know what you did wrong?”
“I slept freely while waiting at home. I didn’t answer the call. I used the Executive Director’s personal items without permission. I didn’t properly follow the instructions not to say I’m sorry.”
Jun-Kyung gave a series of reasons. Then, his head naturally further lowered down. He was told not to bow down, but Jun-Kyung was not born with the same natural power as his opponent, so his head goes down in front of the mistakes I’ve made.
“Haha.” Executive Director Min scoffed.
There were many mistakes Jun-Kyung made. He couldn’t even imagine that he was a professional bodyguard.
“You don’t have a clue at all.” Executive Director Min’s diaphragm came down and up.
‘I don’t have a clue at all.’
This doesn’t mean Jun-Kyung really doesn’t have a clue. Typically for VIP, it implies they will make your life miserable if the person doesn’t apologize properly.
The target was Min Hyun-seung, Executive Director. The blood all over Jun-Kyung’s body dried up. He was so proud of himself for doing a good job earlier.
Why did this happen?
Oddly enough, tension is released so easily. It is hard to maintain a sharp posture.
Why did he do this if he would regret it later? He doesn’t seem to be himself. Even though it doesn’t look like it, is it because of psychological stress? Traumas left?
As embarrassment was added to the embarrassment, strangely, his tears welled up.
Oh no, is he just crying over something like this? Jun-Kyung feels even more embarrassed.
“Sor…”
Sorry, Jun-Kyung did it again less than 5 minutes after Director Min reconfirmed the ban. Jun-Kyung bit his lip. The burning eyes started to get wet.
‘Are you crazy, Ho Jun-kyung? Are you crazy? What did you do well that you are even crying?”
Even when he loses an important match by a ridiculous mistake and get scolded by the coach, or when his judo life is completely ruined by a sudden onset, or even when he receive a notice of pregnancy that he never imagined, he didn’t cry and now he’s shedding tears?
Tears welled up faster because he was embarrassed. He was about to raise his hands and press his eyes tightly, but it seemed like it would be more obvious.
While Jun-Kyung could neither do this nor that, the man who stood tall like a huge bronze statue let out an uncomfortable sigh. Jun-Kyung was even more embarrassed and his head fell down. His short bangs were about to fall in sight.
A long arm came up on Jun-Kyung’s shoulders. Unless the hardness felt at first glance, the soft palms pressed firmly in the middle of the back. Jun-Kyung naturally leaned his upper body forward. The luxurious scent of musk enveloped the whole body.
He fell into the arms of the person he was reprimanding. It was a ridiculous situation.
What’s even more strange was that rather than hating it, it somehow put his mind at ease.
“Mr. Ho Jun-kyung.”
“Yes.”
Executive Director Min called him in a softer voice. Jun-Kyung felt embarrassed for no reason.
Even if he’s crazy, he thinks he’s seriously crazy.
I’m not even a kindergartner. Who cries after being scolded by the teacher and in the teacher’s arms. What is this?
