That Adonis Is Mine - Chapter 121 Count Me In
The pair of sibling waited for the server to serve the breakfast menu that Vincent had chosen beforehand – full English breakfast. On the table, a plate of freshly buttered toast with mini spread jar of strawberry jam, a bowl of baked beans, bubble and squeak topped with poached egg, a plate of grilled tomatoes, wild mushrooms and sausages and of course, a plate of freshly prepared and evenly cooked back bacon.
The food was absolutely appetizing and the smell is great! Sophie made a mental note in bringing Shawn here for a breakfast date on a later date. But she scratched that thought out, breakfast on the bed should be on her top list instead!
Once the server left the room, they began with small talks as they begin to eat. When they have done eating, Sophie asked Vincent without hitting around the bushes.
“So, what is so urgent that you made an appointment thru Eve instead of me?”
Vincent knew Sophie meant serious, thus he flipped his casual doting aura to a more serious one. Too fast that anyone aside of his close friend and family would think that his previous endearing was a simple fleeting mirage.
“I need to use your team for a while.”
This is the first time Vincent ever requested something or someone from her – with his position in both known and unknown world, he never lacks anything. For him to lower his head and requested something from her, she knew it is a big deal.
She would never reject her brother request, as to how annoying and doting he had been, Vincent is her family and family sticks together. She would never hesitate to lend her help, but with her limited knowledge of future which been constantly changed due to her interference, she couldn’t help but feel anxious.
“Do you trust me?”
Sophie raised her question. Vincent raised his head, puzzled at his sister sudden question. In a heartbeat, he answered, “I trust you with my life”.
Not everyone willing to trust someone with its life to someone else – human is a selfish creation. We tend to think for our behalf first than others. A normal nature. For Vincent to trust his life to Sophie, his own little sister – that meant everything for her.
She no longer hesitates, she promised herself in the past that she would protect her loved one this time around. She is willing to challenge fate if that what it takes. She is willing to do anything if that what is required. She’s fine with that!
“Count me in, brother.”
