The Ace - Chapter 101
“In bathrooms, Ash and Buck, Ash is very lit.”, Ace said over the mic, he kept his scope trailed on the doorway, waiting for their attempt at peeking again. As they did, Ace shot them down together, and then followed that with a push from the same place they had come from, finding one more enemy, and cleaning up the round.
He was playing a match with and against pros, invited by one of the many highly ranked players he knew, who had gotten drafted in a team, and was now practising jin scrimmages against other pro teams.
Their last player was unable to show up, so he had invited Ace to come, and he was practically stomping on them. In three rounds, Ace had 10 kills, without having died a single time. He as single-handedly stopping pushes from multiple players, and chances were that they would now begin to play around him.
“Damm, and there goes another three! You know, more than a few people are wishing that you were not so young, I mean, if you weren’t, it would be an all-out bidding war for you, which would be interesting considering that you don’t need money.”
Ace laughed, “I play for the fun of it, and those who matter know that, I would only join a team with good vibes – of course, they have to be good as well, since I might as well win.”
“Yeah yeah, not all of us can be so lucky.”, one of his other teammates teased him.
“Don’t worry, I am sure your team will win, something.”, another of his teammates said, and they all laughed at the mock anger of the person being teased.

“Yeah chat, I just finished playing with some of the pro guys – yeah they needed one more, and they invited me to play, for which I am quite thankful.”, Ace said, waiting for his game to begin, “Did we win? Yeah, we did, it was a good match, but we did win.”, Ace kept on answering chat messages, laughing along with them, until his game began, and he focused more on that.

He played games and streamed the whole afternoon, there was no school tomorrow since it was a Friday, and he hoped to make use of the Saturday to maybe go skating with his friends.
He played some songs before he ended the stream, and as was routine now, uploaded some new videos to his U-Tube channel. His socials had all grown immensely, especially his I-Gram, with hordes of new fans following his account. He was now also followed by a few major brands, and many fashion enthusiasts had actually contacted him, or told him they were fans.
This added demographic made his account soar with new followers, and the number was now substantial, even on a global scale.
He would take pictures tomorrow, and post them on his I-Gram account, so he would have to actually dress properly – or at least fashionably, since he wanted to keep the wave going.
Sophie had also called him, telling him that she was having a get-together Saturday night, and that the plan was to order pizza and just marathon movies, which was good by him. He had no idea of who was invited neither, so it would be interesting if he got to meet new people.

Ace dressed casually, some light blue jeans that he rolled up to his ankles, and some pink vans with a pink shirt that had some designs at the back. He picked up his skateboard, this time choosing a new one he had bought, which had a white deck with a neon ice-cream design. It would fit his ensemble quite well, and Ace was proud of his growing taste for clothing apparel.
He knew that it was largely motivated by new followers to his account, but since it was either this, or having a stylist chose what he wore every time, he just thought of it as a quick remedy to a future problem.
He skated all the way to the park, it was actually pretty empty, but there were still a few people around, he also spotted John and CJ, but no Ray. He walked up to them and they waved, they were currently waiting for another guy to go down, probably about to try a new trick, and so they would be able to give him some external advice.
“Hey guys! How are you doing?”, Ace greeted, “Not bad, although I will be a lot better, if Bryce actually makes this!”, he shouted the last bit, ensuring that Bryce, who was the person about to go down, would hear this.
“Shut up dumb*ass!”, Bryce shouted back, and CJ just put his middle finger up, which Bryce reciprocated.
“It’s good, there are fewer people here which is good.”
“How come?”
CJ laughed, “A bunch of them got caught skating somewhere they shouldn’t be, and are now on house arrest.”
“Somewhere, I am sure, you somehow found yourself as well?”, Ace asked, with a smile o his face.
“I just don’t know how I do it?”, CJ laughed, “Well, at least I never got caught, plus it’s not that bad, there were no fines or anything, they just have to stay inside for the weekend, which obviously kills any rumours of raves or parties.”, CJ shrugged, not looking very upset about the whole thing. “You know, you could maybe show a little compassion.”, John said, and CJ laughed out loud this time, “For whom? The retards who got caught? Hell no! I have gotten caught more than a few times, and that is all there is to it. Next week, we will go again, and we will keep going until they either give up, or close all the ways we have to get in.”
“Seems pretty stupid, I mean, you have all this space and you go there?”, John asked.
“Well, it is not so much about the skating, but the thrill of being somewhere where you should not be. It just makes everything much more fun. Plus, there is a sick place to jump from, and the risk of death is minimal.”
“Ooooh sounds fun.”, Ace chimed in, and while John despaired, CJ just laughed, “I’ll take you there, you’ll see”

They spent the whole day skating and lounging around, eventually going to have some lunch, and going back to skate some more. At about 5, they each went their own ways, and Ace got home, took a shower and got changed. He just wore some black jeans with an orange t-shirt and some classic Vans.
The chauffeur drove him to Sophie’s house, and he knocked on the door to the outhouse, where they would be having their ‘movie night’, as Sophie had called it.
The door was opened by Sophie, who gave him a big hug and a smile, leading him inside the house. There was already a massive sofa set up, with pillows and blankets spread out everywhere. There was a gigantic drink dispenser to the side, and a multitude of bowls with snacks had been assorted around the room.
The main event, however, was the gigantic screen that was in front of everything, and could be seen clearly from every angle of the room.
“Well, this is definately something.”, Ace said with a grin, “So, where are the others?”
“Oh, they have not come yet, you were the first one here.”
