The Ace - Chapter 118
They spent the afternoon together, conversing on various topics. Ace was caught up on how the project of the Tower was going, and what exactly were the plans for the future. All the deals had pretty much been completed, and it was now simply a matter of time, once the Tower was complete, it would become the true center of entertainment for the 0.1%.
His grandmother left, going to a meeting she had with a few friends from China. Ace asked her if she needed any help, and she said no, so after requesting that she keep him updated, Ace led her out of the penthouse.
It was about midafternoon now, so he still had some time, he planned to stream slightly later on, but for now, he planned to create a new music video. He ended up cheating separate channels, one for his gaming and stream highlights, while another for his music. Of course, any stream highlights that were music themed, were posted on his music channel. Ace did this once he gained some more notoriety, making it easier for his videos to reach a large number of people, the most possible.
Once he finished, he posted a short clip, which consisted of a few seconds of the song to his I-Gram, and then began the stream. By playing everyday, he had finally reached a good benchmark level, he was now considered by many to have one of the best aims in FPS games, and in Rainbow SIX Siege, he was considered to have one of the best mechanical skill, at least in the top three of every tier list, usually making it to the top spot.
He worked up with 10 minutes on the dot game, breaking the record he had set last time. No one could believe his improvement, his growth, in general, was scary, but it was his control that shocked people. He could move his mouse with pinpoint precision, and people noticed. Quite a large number of people had asked him to play CS again, and participate in some tournaments where there was a reduced age requirement. 13 was a benchmark for some, so he would at least be able to participate.
He thought it to be an interesting idea, for now, he was just playing both Rainbow Six Siege and would now begin to play CSGO, with R6, he played both Ranked at the highest level, and sometimes even participated in scrims with pro teams. Usually when they wanted to play against a more unorthodox opponent, who could pretty much disregard the metagame, and would prepare them for weirder strategies.
It was great content, and most of those players were actually extremely cool people, with interesting stories. A common theme whoever, was that they were young, and loved video games, spending hours upon hours playing, improving their game for both themselves, their teams, and their fans.
“Ok, so hello to everyone that is already here, I think I will begin with some versus point game, any of you want to play?”, the game had a title – of course, but since Ace had first called it the point or dot game, that was pretty much what his viewers understood it to be: the point game, where you point and click the dots on the screen.
A few people said yes and once he logged in to the game, there were few invites already waiting for him. He clicked on the first one, and began the game. At this point, no one expected a viewer to win, but instead, there was a leaderboard where the viewers that lasted the most would be recorded. At the end of the month, the three viewers with the highest times would be gifted both a subscription to his channel along with any new merch that came out.
It was a good incentive that of course made for some great content. Since the beginning, his most senior moderator was the one at the top spot, and people always looked forward to their matches, which usually happens about once or twice a month. He actually played CSGO himself, and more than a few people had suggested for him to play with him, since he was actually in a high rank himself.
He played rounds for about ten minutes, once the viewer died, Ace usually quit so that he could fit more people in, there was a list they could enter, and once it came to their turn, they would play. It was only the people in the top three spots that could challenge him three times a month each, as long as they told him with enough time so that he could also let the people in the lists know.
All of these were ideas that people had come up with, and had been put together by Ace and the team he had hired to work for him. Things were just getting bigger and better, and his fans loved it.
He also had a few model shoots scheduled for the future, some of which had already had dates released to the public, and people were more than a little hyped. His account on I-Gram had grown to almost ridiculous levels, millions of people following him, and every post gained traction within seconds of being released.
All of this had, of course, caused a vast number of companies, both big and small to contact him, asking him to sponsor various products and things.
This had forced him to make a public post, where he explained that money was not a problem, if anyone wanted him to speak good about their product, then they should send him things, he would try it out, and he would give his honest thoughts on it on stream. Anyone that sent him anything risked themselves to be ridiculed in front of thousands of people, but companies still did so. Some, in fact, sent him things even after he had reviewed them, especially when he said that he liked the product.
Companies mostly liked it since they did not have to pay, and fans appreciate it greatly, since they knew that any thoughts he gave were his own. This was something that boosted his ratings wildly, and caused quite a few people to join his streams once he talked about his likes and dislikes, since they were curious as to what his honest beliefs were.

“So, Ace, are you ready for the test?”, Amy asked, with a glint in her eyes.
“Should be, I hope I can just finish this quick and leave, this is the only thing we have to do today, so it will be nice.”, Ace said, finishing tying his shoelaces.
They were now in the process of starting their test for their P.E. class. It worked in an interesting way, they would be tested in the same things they had been tested at the start, and then, there was an option for bonus points. This option consisted of playing a random team sport. They would have to create teams, and then play against each other. They would be graded, and while they would not be penalised, they could simply not gain any bonus points.
The wheel had selected volleyball, and Amy was laughing since Ace had never actually played it much before this. He had of course, like all of them, practised, since they were forced to learn the basics in pretty much everything, but that was that.
Nevertheless, Ace was the one that was laughing on the inside, knowing that while he had not practised a lot, he had memorised the basic moves, setting, spiking and receiving to perfection, his muscle memory coming in quite handy, straight from a textbook, which meant his technique was more than good.
That was all he had learnt of course, but combined with his enhanced body and peerless reflexes it should be more than enough. If they ask, he could just chalk it down at being naturally talented at Sport, something which teachers had definitely seen before.
