The Adventures Of Kagami - Chapter 4 liber Store

-Atsuko House-

“Mom! Talent what is it!”

“Well you will know at the right time! Hhhh! Don’t concern yourself of these things right now!”

“Mom!”

Should I ask about the Himura clan? No! I will ask her later! I need to find a reason to ask! As for ‘talent’, I guess she is afraid that I won’t understand what she is going to say! Then she hugged me. I feel indebt to this woman who saved me and treat me like her own child once I have the power I will make sure that she will be leaving a happy life.

It has been 5 months since I turned 4 years old. I started learning how to read and write the moment I turned 4. I don’t know why but my learning speed is unbelievable, I don’t know how! But the moment I look at the word I know what it means. That was weird! Is this the power of the child brain! But my mental age is 24. Also after running every day in Atsuko house from room to another and in Stella garden for two years now I can run for 2 hours nonstop. Another happy thing is that Atsuko promised to let me go around the village alone. So, Tomorrow I will start exploring the village.

The next day I wake up early from excitement. I guess my childish instincts are getting over! I prepared myself to go with Atsuko to the second gate where she works as a guard. Then she will let me go play around in the village. Hhhh! Finally! After 4 years I am out. Even though it is just a small village but I am happy.

[Atsuko Pov]

Today the moment I wake up I saw a small figure in front of me, black hair, black eyes and a calm facial expression that shows no emotion. He is always calm I didn’t see him cry or be angry in the last 3 years to the point that I got the idea that his face is expressionless. Anyway seeing that he woke up before me, made me remember that he is only a child. Well I promised to let him go around the village alone and I will fulfill my promise, but I will ask someone to keep an eye on him.

“Kagami let’s go!”

“Yes!”

Holding his hand we went to the second gate checkpoint, a small two floor building where second gate guards interrogate suspicious people and also take breaks. Anyway asking Kagami to stay outside with Rio. I walked inside searching for one of my subordinate. Since I was promoted to a captain last year I had 5 junior under my command.

“Etsuko! Can you do me a favor?”

“Of course captain!” Said a girl is her twenties, with a long red hair and brown eyes.

“The black haired kid out side is my child Kagami. I promised to let him go roll around the village can you keep an eye on him for me?”

“Your child?”

“I didn’t tell you? I have a 4 years old son called Kagami! Anyway will you do it?”

“Of course Captain!”

Then I walked outside telling Etsuko to prepare herself, I told Kagami to go and to come back at noon. Seeing him go. I told Etsuko to start fallowing him and report to me if anything happens.

[Kagami Pov]

“See you later mom!”

Oshika village is a small village and the base of the Nameless clan, it has more than 400 building and a huge wall around it. Walking into the market street you can see a small stone at the entrance where the names of the founders of the village are written. Seeing all these stores in front of me, I start going in each one of them, asking what they sell! Until I stood before the fifth store. It was a small store with a black sign that says ‘Liber’. Is this a book store? Going inside I start hearing the shouting of two people.

“I told you for these 50 books the price will be 14 PG and 210 PS! Take your money and give me the books!” Said a tall person who wears a silver coat.

“Sir, please I am not good at counting and the chief is not here, can you come back next week. Please!” said a mid-aged man sitting behind the counter

“Why are you even here if you don’t know how to count this much? Do I look like someone who will cheat you? Don’t make me laugh! Come on don’t waste my time!”

Looking at them I choose to give the mid-aged man a hand.

“Sir, I can help you if you want I am good at calculating!” I said

At that moment the one wearing a silver coat looked at me and with a mocking tone he said.

“Kid, go to your mother we are not counting sheep here! Hhhh”

I looked at the one behind the counter and said.

“Uncle! I assure you that I can help you, Trust me!”

“Ok. This noble man want to buy 50 books; these 11 books the one cost 670 PS, these 20 books the one costs 759 PS and finally these 19 books the one costs 442 PS!” he said

I took a couple of minutes to think then I said.

“Ok! Let me aid you! The 11 books will costs 7370 PS, the 20 books will costs 15180 and the 19 books will costs 8398 PS. So all books will costs 30948 PS! And since 1 PG is equal 1000 PS. The 50 books will costs 30 PG and 948 PS!”

Just then the facial expression of the man wearing a silver coat changed, his mocking smile faded and vines start to show on his forehead.

“Don’t listen to him he is lying! Are you really going to listen to a kid!” he shouted

“Sorry Sir! But his explanation made it clear to me even if I am not good at counting but I am not that stupid. So sir are you going to pay or not”

“Tsk! Fuck! I will pay!” then he looked at me saying “Child I hope next time you will mind your own business or who knows what will happen to you smart ass!”

After that he paid and got out.

[Gin Pov]

My name is Gin, I work in ‘Liber’ a selling books store, my master suddenly disappear without trace and since my master was doing all the account work in the store I was put in a bad situation and today my worst nightmare become a reality! Someone come to the store and he wanted to buy more than one book. Oh! My god what am I supposed to do he wanted 50 books. At that time, while I was trying to make him go away a child entered the store and helped me! Even while facing this noble man he was calm giving his explanation. I was saved from selling the books for half the price! So when the man Left I Looked at the child and said.

“Kiddo how about working with this uncle! Ah yes before that my name is Gin! So what do you say?”

Looking at me with these two dark eyes he said

“Uncle Gin, my name is Kagami and I need to take my mother permission first!”

“Ah! Yes! You are a kid you need to ask your mother of course! How old are you kid?”

“I am 4 years old uncle!”

“Hhhh! So you are a genius to be so good at calculating at this age! Anyway if your mother was ok with the idea of working here! Come tomorrow at 8 am”

Then he left, Hhhh! What a kid! I hope my master will come back soon it has been more than 7 days since he disappears, I hope he is alright!

Walking out of the store I saw Aunt Jenna and big sister Mia, she is a 16 years old beauty now! Well with some of Stella saving and her money aunt Jenna opened a medium size restaurant last year! Walking in I shouted!

“Big sister! Aunty! How are you?”

“Look isn’t that little Kagami! Where is Atsuko?” Said Jenna

“My mom told me that I can play around and to comeback at noon!”

“Kagami come here and give your big sister a Kiss!”

Here we go again!

“Mia go back to your work! Oh my! Kagami is an adult now! Hhhh! He can go around alone! Remember to go back at noon to Atsuko, ok! and if you need anything tell aunty!”

“Ok! Thank you aunty! See you later big sister!”

Leaving the two of them I start walking to check the other stores. At noon I got back to the second gate checkpoint and there I saw my mother speaking to a group of people wearing a golden robes.
