The Adventures Of Kagami - Chapter 5 The Prophet Of Chaos

Walking to my mother side, she looked at me smiling.

“Welcome back Kagami, did you have fun?”

“Yes!”

The next moment one of the people who were wearing golden robes walked to me. I couldn’t see his face because he was wearing a mask.

“Is this your child Atsuko?”

“Yes! Your highness! His name is Kagami and he is 4 years old.”

Your highness is he a king?

“So in 3 years his future will be decided! Well I can’t tell him to work hard because it all depends on his talent! Mmm. Take this!”

At that moment the masked man gave Atsuko a golden card and said.

“This is an invitation card to our clan, if this child or any of his descendant has a warrior talent they can use this to take part in our clan annual exam! If he pass he can be one of us.”

Taking the card Atsuko lowered her head and said.

“Good! Good! We will be under your care for the next one year at least. The prophet of chaos was seen in this region. A portal will probably open in 7 months. It is nothing dangerous but I want you to make sure that everybody knows about it and tell them when the portal opens no one is allowed to get closer and of course if anything happens you can tell me or tell one of my group we will deal with any problem.”

“Yes! Your highness!”

“Good.”

After that a group of 15 persons went into the village, they look like deities with their golden robes. Who are they I will ask my mother later about them and about the prophet of chaos! Also about talent! This time I will be nagging until she tell me! Well when the group left, my mother send me to Stella house to study.

-Atsuko House-

After we had finished dinner I looked at Atsuko. Then she smiled.

“I know! I know! I will answer your questions today.”

“So mom who are those people!”

“They are from the Royal clan which role over all the human clans it original name is the Sun clan, even though there are 5 other clans which are as powerful as them but because they have many internal problems the Sun clan become the strongest and become known as the Royal clan after reigning more than 500 years. That is why when you speak to one of the main family of the clan you have to refer to them as his highness or her majesty! Next you will probably ask me about the prophet of chaos. Mmm. Well the prophet of chaos is a rabbit with the head of an owl and the tail of a rat, his fur is black, every 4 years its shows itself and search for a village to open a portal which takes to the Chaos world and at that time one of the big clans will go in trying to search for treasures before closing the portal.”

“But mom aren’t there any creatures in the chaos world?”

“There was, but it said that all of them were gone extinct under the hand of the angels and demons. So we can say it is safe inside!”

Since it is safe I guess I need to prepare myself to go in! I am so exited! If good luck is on my side I can find something good! Next I will ask about talent.

“Mom, also what does his highness means my future will be decided 3 years from now?”

“Well, I didn’t want to tell you so you don’t think about it so much but I guess I don’t have a choice this time, I will make it simple! When you turn 7 years old I have to take you to test if you have the ability to be a warrior and if you have the talent, you will start training in the warrior school before start getting invitation from other clans but like you see his highness has giving you an opportunity and if you have a talent then you can be a part of the Royal clan!”

So I need to turn 7 in order for them to know about my ability! So why my biological father said that I am normal based on some tests that where made when I am in my mother womb?

“Mom is there any other way to know my talent before I become 7 years old?”

“I know you will impatient about it! Well no! Only when you become 7 years old that your body will be developed enough to be tested!”

Then what is the power that the Himura clan possess! Well I will think about it later I need to find a way to go inside the portal! In 7 months he said! First I need information! Where can find information about the chaos world? Yes! of course ‘liber’ Store I may find a book or two there!

“Yes! I forget to tell you mom (then I told her about Gin and what happened in the ‘Liber’ Store!)”

“Well Stella told me that you are smart and she had nothing to teach you. Mmm. Ok! Tomorrow I will go with you to see this Gin and if things are good, you can work there!”

“Thank you mom!”

So, the plan tomorrow is to search for information about the chaos world! Well also I need a spatial item! Last time when going from a store to another there was a one that sell used items, I will try my luck there!

Entering the store I saw Gin behind the counter, seeing us he comes quickly and invited us inside to a room where there was a couple of chairs after sitting my mother starts to speak.

“Are you sure that my child won’t be facing any danger here?”

“Of course! I want you to be at ease Madame, he is safe here! This is a selling books store, there is nothing dangerous here! There are only books and I really need his help to manage the store”

“Kagami do you really want to work here!”

“Yes! Mom! Besides getting paid I want to read as many books as possible!”

“Ok! My child is in your care, if anything happens to him! COUNT YOURSELF DEAD!”

“I will make sure nothing occurs to him! As for the payment how much this young man wants?”

“Well how much can you provide, I trust uncle Gin judgment!”

Under the bloody eyes of Atsuko he said.

72 PG a month! Not bad, when checking the stores yesterday with this much I can buy many things!

“Yes I am happy with that! Also I want to be able to read any book in the store and to be able to have a 15 days break every 2 months! ”

“I don’t mind! How about you can also choose a book each week and I will copy it for you!”

After that we made a contract that will be valid for a year, after checking the contract for at least 100 times Atsuko kissed me and left the store.
