The Almighty Tyrant - Chapter 65 One Month
“What type of interface do you want Shi Li?” Senior Yan repeated the question once more in case Shi Li didn’t hear it.
Shi Li heard the question real well. Instead of answering, he answer Senior Yan’s question with another question.
“What are the interfaces I can choose from?”
“You can choose between the Slaughter Interface, Life Interface, and Research Interface,” Senior Yan solemnly replied.
“Can’t I pick the Omni Interface?” Shi Li asked because he felt like that type of interface would suit him best.
“About that…” Senior Yan scratched his cheeks as he awkwardly laughed. “The Omni Interface only appears with an insane amount of luck…or if you’re born with a pure Hua clan bloodline.”
Hearing Senior Yan’s answer, Shi Li couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed. He shook this feeling off not long after and instead went with the second choice.
“Can I pick two interfaces at once?”
Senior Yan was taken aback. It was his first time to hear about someone wanting to acquire two interfaces combined.
‘Then again, people have done it in the past,’ Senior Yan thought.
“Sure!” Senior Yan smiled. “Which two interfaces would you choose?”
Shi Li pondered fot a bit before answering, “I’d pick the Slaughter Interface and the Research Interface.”
Even though it was a weird combination, Senior Yan continued onwards with a question. “Why did you pick those two Shi Li?”
Shi Li chuckled before answering, “Well that’s because killing beasts give me a lot of money, as well as crafting weapons. If I create weapons that are efficient at killing, then I can make more money!”
Senior Yan coughed as Shi Li showed his newfound greedy side in him. Even though it sound like what a kid would say, it did have its merits in the real world. With beast hunting being a profitable job, there was no doubt that crafting weapons or equipment that increased the rate of killing would definitely be a hit.
But even if someone made equipment that weren’t necessarily made for killing, it would still garner them a large amount of money.
“So you want to have a Slaughter-Research Hybrid Interface?” Senior Yan asked.
“Un!” Shi Li nodded. “How do I get it?”
Senior Yan laughed after hearing his question. “Only by reaching the Creation realm would your seed interface awaken to a true interface! And that brings me back to the main topic.”
“Are you ready to train?” Senior Yan looked at Shi Li with a light smile.
Shi Li gave a cheeky grin as he replied, “Yes, Master!”
…
Azure Dusk Continent, a place far away.
Hua Weiqing entered a room where multiple elders could be seen surrounding a center stage. Every time she entered, she would get the goosebumps because all these elders gave out terrifying and creepy auras.
Even then, she didn’t hesitate to stand at the center stage and speak.
“Hua Weiqing has come back from her mission and fulfilled the goals of the mission.”
A loud clamor could be heard between the elders before a silence covered the room, allowing for one elder to speak.
“Tell me about the things you’ve seen.”
Hua Weiqing bowed respectfully before continuing. “Answering the elders, this junior here has seen that the Jade Creation Continent and the Soaring Phoenix Continent have formed an alliance to capture the Azure Dusk Continent as their own territory.”
“It seems that the problem has worsened from before,” an elder replied not long after. “You may go now.”
Hua Weiqing bowed once more before leaving the room.
At that instant, a loud clamor could be heard again but it was about the observation Hua Weiqing gave them.
“Agh! Those bastards are infuriating! Just because we’re the biggest continent doesn’t mean that we have to share our territory with theirs!”
“Don’t you think that we’ve already lost? The Jade Creation Continent and the Soaring Phoenix Continent have cultivators at the Transcendent realm while we have none! One Transcendent cultivator is enough to wipe out a kingdom y’know?!”
The chatter continued on until an imposing voice made the other elders shut up.
“Silence.”
This voice came from a man that exuded an aura of wisdom and terror. His every cell glistened with a black flame, that alone showing the power he held.
“There’s no use in complaining. It’s either we make a move or we don’t. The current situation is that the two continents have formed an alliance to capture us all. Judging by the fact that there’s a large distance between each of the three continents, it must’ve taken a few years for the alliance to happen.”
“Let’s say that in around 5 years, the alliance attacks the continent with all of their finest cultivators. This means that we should also nurture fine cultivators to fend off against the attack!”
“I propose this,” the man’s voice became serious. “In the next 2 years, a grand event shall be held to choose the best cultivators out of all the cultivators in the Azure Dusk Continent, and train them to the point they can fight for the continent.”
“Who agrees with me?”
“Me!”
“Me as well!”
“Count me in on that!”
“For the future of the Azure Dusk Continent!”
…
Shi clan, blacksmithing area, one month later.
Throughout the past month, Senior Yan gave Shi Li a training routine that would allow him to have the highest chance of forming a Slaughter-Research Hybrid Interface once he reached the Creation realm.
At first, Shi Li was overwhelmed by the amount of things he has to do each day. With Senior Yan guiding him on the ‘Slaughter’ and a veteran blacksmith of the clan guiding him on the ‘Research,’ it was like a living hell for him that usually didn’t exert that much effort.
After a few days of the routine, Shi Li was becoming more efficient in his work and routine that he was able to allot himself a small amount of time for himself.
This time was something he used in order to catch up on the happenings of the two parts. The lessons on achieving a more efficient kill, or lessons on tempering metal, this was the time where Shi Li would catch up on that.
And at the end of the month-long routine, Shi Li was currently sitting in front of a kiln, carefully removing metal from the said kiln and placed it on an anvil to hammer using the Yin-Yang Hammer.
Normally, people would freak out seeing the size of the hammer and how they imagine that the metal would be flattened with one hit.
But that didn’t happen.
Tink! Tink! Tink!
Melodious clangs could be heard instead of loud bangs. This was all thanks to the training given by the blacksmith to Shi Li on fine-tuning the power for each hit.
A few minutes later, Shi Li removed the hammer from his hand, revealing a piece of metal in the shape of a blade.
He then used tongs to grab the still hot piece of metal and doused it in oil, allowing the metal to cool down faster.
After a while, he removed the rough blade from the oil and wiped the excess off. He then grabbed a previously crafted hilt and attached it to the flat end of the blade, carefully hammering it in and making sure that it was a snug fit.
Afterwards, he grabbed a sharpening stone and sharpened the blade on the stone as drops of sweat dripped down from his forehead.
After another few minutes, Shi Li raised the polished blade up into the air with glee, revealing a blade that was not only good-looking, but it also had an aura that it could cut anything.

User has successfully crafted a weapon in tandem with the [Crafting: Blacksmithing] skill!
Would User like to name the weapon?

He placed the blade on a nearby table before thinking up of a good name. It wasn’t until he looked out at the skies did he think up of a good one.
“Let’s call you the Sky Cleaver.”
Ding!

After seeing the notification, Shi Li jumped up in joy as he laughed. “Haha! It was a success!”
The blacksmith that taught him looked at Shi Li and smiled. “Our one month of training is now over. I’ve taught you all I could. I hope you can take the art of blacksmithing to a great level.”
Shi Li looked at the blacksmith and bowed respectfully. “Thank you for guiding me this past month. Rest assured that I’ll become a grandmaster blacksmith someday!”
Afterwards, Shi Li ran off, leaving the blacksmith alone as he went back to crafting a new weapon for the clan.
…
Senior Yan was waiting near Shi Li’s courtyard for a while until he heard heavy panting coming from behind in. He put on a smile and turned around.
“Are you ready to enter the Shi Trial Tower?” he asked.
The one who was panting was of course, Shi Li. It took a while for him to compose himself but he gave a smile and replied firmly.
“Let’s go!”
