The Alpha’s Prisoner - Chapter 23
After a few seconds in shock, Violet started to laugh.
It was the only thing she managed to do. Only the thought of that was ridiculous.
Her, a sorceress?
“Why are you laughing?” Jack looked annoyed, but showed a soft smile to her anyway.
“Well, because that was really funny. And also ridiculous. How could I be a sorceress? I don’t have those type of powers.”
“I have a sorceress here in the pack, and we can ask her if the things you felt mean what I said. She went through all the symptoms before she was able to learn how to control her powers.”.
Even though Violet thought the idea was insane and stupid, she nodded anyway. Because Jack seemed very excited with the idea, and she didn’t want to be the one to spoil that for him.
“Okay, although I don’t think you are right. But if you really want me to talk to her, I’ll do that for you.”
Jack leaned forward and grabbed her by the neck, pulling her towards him.
“Great! Thank you for doing me this favor. Although I’m just doing this for you. You deserve to be able to express yourself and not hide.”
Violet was really moved by his words, but he didn’t give her much time to dwell on that, because he stole a very passionate kiss from her.
When she thought they were going to start the second round of that wild night, Jack parted from her and got up from the bed, which made Violet feel very frustrated.
“What? Where are you going?” she asked annoyed and mad.
“I have to go to work, but I’ll also find my sorceress. If you are what I think you are, we’ll definitely train you to be the most badass sorceress of the Crescent.”
“Jack, you’re delusional.” Violet said getting up from the bed and putting on her dress. “And why would she agree to train me? Specially someone from the Diamond Pack?”
Jack stopped with his hand on the doorknob.
“Yeah, well, that will be a little problem. Mostly because she really hates you. But I’m pretty sure I can convince her.”
Violet widened her eyes.
“She really hates me? Who is the sorceress of the Rebels?”
“Morgana. I thought you already knew that.”
Violet felt seated on the bed again.
“What did you say?” she murmured.
“Don’t worry, it’s going to be fine. See you at lunch.”
And he left, leaving Violet completely astonished inside his bedroom, without even knowing what to do or think first.
Lots of thoughts were spinning inside her head.
While sneaking out to go to her bedroom, Violet started to think about what had happened in the last 24 hours.
Luckily, she didn’t bump into anyone on the hallway, so she entered her room and went straight to the shower.
Jack’s scent was still pretty much present on her skin, which almost made her not want to wash it off.
But as she washed her hair, Violet thought about how her life had changed in less than a day.
She was always defensive against Jack, looking for an opportunity to escape and go back home.
But now she had slept with him, and the way he seemed to want her to grow and express herself made Violet wonder if that wasn’t the life she always deserved.
Would she have that freedom if she went back to the Diamond Pack? Would Arden allow her to learn to control her powers? Instead of hiding and suppressing it, teach her how to use them with wisdom and knowledge?
She doubted that. Thinking back on the days she started to train with him, Violet finally realized how Arden looked afraid of what she could do.
Maybe Jack was right. They didn’t need to do that. They could have simply trained her to use the powers for their own good. Wasn’t that better?
And now she was even more confused about what to do in the future. She couldn’t imagine how she would be able to live happily without Jack in her life anymore.
Of course they weren’t living the ideal relationship, but it was enough for her. Although she didn’t know if the previous night had changed anything for them in terms of trust.
She wondered if Jack would finally trust her and let her off the drugs. After all, he did want Morgana to train her. Was that a good idea?
But he seemed really excited about it. So maybe she could give it a chance. Even though she couldn’t imagine how Morgana would accept that.
***
When Jack left his room, his mood was the best in the last few days. When he called Violet in his room, he wasn’t expecting anything like what happened.
They had just kissed once when they met. Ever since, they have lived days of temptation, defensive arguments and repressed feelings.
So when Violet said she wanted him, he could swear he had heard it wrong. But he didn’t hesitate. Because he couldn’t stand that situation any longer.
And it was the best night of his life.
He had been with other women before, but none had made him feel what he felt with Violet. He didn’t care at all that she was inexperienced in that department.
It was more than enough for him. Much more than he could ever ask for.
She was perfect, sweet, beautiful and sexy at the same time.
The fact that she was from the Diamond Pack didn’t cross his mind during the night. He only had eyes for her. Every part of his being was only focused on her.
But when he woke up, he started to recall the moments from their sex night and something felt really odd.
He didn’t know how or why, but something on Violet made him feel a different type of energy. It was like she had a lot of electricity and force trapped inside her body, and it was even more perceptive during moments of vulnerability.
Jack also didn’t know how the idea of her being a sorceress came to his mind. But as soon as it crossed his mind, he knew he couldn’t be wrong.
Morgana had experienced similar things when she came to the Diamond Pack. Of course he was really young to remember a lot, but they were close friends, so once in a while, they talked about it.
Morgana was really powerful. Some of her abilities were to conjure fire, levitate things and telepathy, although the last one she could only use when she was in her wolf form. To name a few.
She studied a lot during her youth, and was now one of the most powerful sorceress in the entire Crescent.
So she was the best option to train Violet.
But it was pretty clear to him that it was going to be a hell of a mission to convince her to do so.
She didn’t trust Violet. In fact, she seemed to really hate the girl.
How was he going to persuade her to do what he wanted, without putting Violet in danger?
