The Amazing Process For Marrying You - Chapter 120
Dino tried to talk to her but was ignored. Rere knew that Dino was hiding something from her but she couldn’t guess what it was.
“Re.”
“I’ll sleep. Don’t talk to me if you don’t want to be honest.”
“Are you sure you will be fine after listening to what I said?” Dino said as he pulled her to look at him.
“I want you to be honest. Even though it’s bitter, I’m ready to accept the truth.”
Dino wiped the tears from his wife’s cheeks.
“Are you really okay?” Dino made sure.
“Yes.” Rere couldn’t wait.
“You had miscarried, Re. Uty just did a curettage on you. Our baby cannot be saved. You are six weeks pregnant. That criminal has killed our son.”
Rere wept uncontrollably. Her hands trembled. She still couldn’t believe that she was pregnant. Rere saw no sign of life in her stomach. The baby was so small that she didn’t realize that she was pregnant.
“I got pregnant and miscarried?” Rere looked at Dino sadly. Her heart felt like it would stop beating. Rere clenched her clothes with trembling hands. Her chest felt tight. She was hurt by the facts.
“What kind of mother am I? I didn’t even know he was there.” Rere screamed hysterically.
Dino hugged his wife, giving strength.
Rere whined against the blank wall, staring intently at the window. She could see the shady plants behind this room. She hoped that what Dino said was just a dream. Rere wished the baby was still in her stomach. Rere’s world seemed to collapse. She felt guilty for not being able to take care of her baby. Stupidly, Rere didn’t realize that she was pregnant. With PCOS, she didn’t realize she was pregnant.
Rere just had her period when she was eighteen years old. She realized that she has PCOS after visiting a doctor. She was given hormone injections to menstruate. Getting pregnant with Leon was a miracle and a gift. Rere’s doctor said that it will be difficult to get pregnant because of PCOS.
She didn’t know she was pregnant with her second child. There is regret in her heart. Her heart ached, her soul was torn apart. She felt like her body split into two pieces, leaving pieces that ended in bitterness. Rere felt the bitterness that came out of every drop of her tears.
In the past, Rere had experienced a painful loss. She lost her father. It was painful. Her heart burned with deep sorrow. Now she feels another loss. She lost her baby. It’s more suffocating and heartbreaking. She didn’t even know she was pregnant. She knew she was having a baby after losing it. Rere feels like the dumbest mother in the world. Rere wept and wailed for a while. Her tears have flowed into rivers and have even dried up. No more tears will be shed.
Rere tried to calm down, catch her breath. She had to accept reality. Even if she cries blood, the baby will not return. He was gone. They weren’t meant to be together.
“Re.” Dino’s voice was soft. The man again stroked Rere’s head giving her peace and comfort.
Rere didn’t make a sound as she hugged Dino tightly. Rere rested her head on her husband’s shoulder. He felt comfortable in Dino’s warm embrace. Luckily there was Dino by his side. If it weren’t for him, Rere doesn’t know what would happen to her. She had to share her pain with Dino. If she swallowed this pain herself, it would hurt her even more.
“Did you hear me, Re,” Dino was even worried because there was no answer from his wife. Dino let go of his embrace and looked at Rere sadly.
Rere stood still with empty eyes. Dino waved at Rere’s face. His wife’s eyes didn’t blink. His wife was shocked and shaken. Dino shook his wife’s body. He panicked. Dino pressed the bell to call the nurse. Dino laid Rere on the bed. He took Rere’s hand and squeezed it gently.
“Yes, sir?” Two nurses came to their room.
“My wife was shaken. She didn’t respond to me.” The nurse checked Rere’s condition. She tried to stimulate Rere’s body. Before long, Rere blinked her eyes.
“Can you hear me, ma’am?” The nurse interrogates Rere.
“I do,” Rere whispered, staring at the wall in disbelief. Somehow her soul still does not accept reality. She has miscarried!
Dino stared silently at how pale and fragile his wife was to know their baby was gone. Dino was not that strong but he hides his weakness. He didn’t want Rere to break down like that. Dino realized that they were hurt and grieving. The sky is falling on them. They lost it before they even had it.
“Thank you,” Rere squeezed the nurse’s hand.
“Then I will get back, sir.” The nurse said goodbye to Dino.
Rere turned back to Dino. Dino heard her wife sobbing and stepped closer to his wife.
“Don’t come near me. Let me cry. This is my way to vent my grief. I know you cry and scream too but you just don’t show it to me. I know you hurt more than me. You’re a man so you can still hold your feelings, but I couldn’t hold back my tears. Let me cry. ”
Dino couldn’t prevent it. He was just stunned and grimaced at his wife’s sobs. He knew this was not easy for Rere. It’s a shame for Rere not to know about her pregnancy.
Dino couldn’t contain his feelings when he heard Rere’s sobs. He approached Rere. He grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently. Dino also cried even though not as loudly as Rere.
“I am suffering too, Re. It feels very stuffy here.” Dino pointed at his chest. “I’ve lost my father, my brother, and my wife. Losing a child was the most painful. I’m also suffering. Can we share this pain together?” Dino looked at Rere with teary eyes.
“Forgive me.”
“There’s nothing to forgive. This is not your fault.”
“What kind of mother am I to not notice her own child’s presence?” Rere rubbed her stomach. She still feels pain
.
“Stop it, Re. Do not Cry anymore. We cannot drown in this sadness. The child is in heaven. He will be waiting for us in heaven.”
“I haven’t…”
“I know it’s not easy but…,” Dino stopped.
“But what?”
“Our cries will not bring him back, Re .”
“The disease made me not aware that I was pregnant. Why do I have PCOS? What did I do wrong that God punished me?”
“God doesn’t punish you. God is just testing us. God knows that you can endure this ordeal.”
“Am I?” Rere felt insecure.
“God will not test a servant beyond the ability of the servant himself. You are the chosen woman. No… we, the chosen parents. God gives us a trial by taking our child. There will be a rainbow after the rain, Re. Trust me.” Dino held both of Rere’s cheeks. He rubbed his nose against Rere’s nose.
“We are strong Re. We are strong parents. I promise to you.”
“Promise what?”
“I will find the culprit. I won’t let him get away after harming you.”
“Are you sure you can catch him?”
“I’m positive. I’ll look for him even in the ant hole. I’m not the old Dino anymore. I will not be silent anymore.”
“Kiss me,” Rere asked him, whining.
Dino kissed Rere with a blue feeling. The two of them tried to support each other even though the wound was gaping. Dino was curious about Tom’s investigation. Dino vowed to give him a proper recompense. There is no mercy for the man who has harmed Rere.
“It’s late. Let’s go to sleep.” Dino laid Rere on the bed and covered her up to her chest.
“Man, I’m scared.” Rere grabbed Dino’s hand.
“Calm down. No one will hurt you. I’m here.” Dino convinced Rere.
Morning has come. The sun appeared shyly on the horizon. The sky was so bright blue but it looked gray in Dino’s eyes. The piercing cold air pricked the skin. Dino’s eyes didn’t blink when he looked at the sky, hoping his unborn baby could be happy in heaven.
“I hope you know that dad is saddened by your passing, son,” Dino wiped his tears.
Rere blinked as she opened her eyes, watching Dino who looked at the blue sky. Rere rubbed her eyes. Rere also still cannot move on from the pain
of losing their baby.
“No,” she called Dino softly.
Dino turned around and approached her, “You’re awake?” Dino smiled at his wife.
“Since when did you wake up?”
“Just some time ago.”
“Are you okay?”
“I am getting better, it’s not hurt anymore. How about you?” Rere wanted to stand up.
Dino quickly helped his wife to stand while holding the IV.
“Why are you awake?” Dino stroked Rere’s cheek
“Want to pee.” Rere smiled.
“Want me to help you?” Dino was seen teasing his wife.
“Do not tease me.” Rere smiled shyly, looking at Dino.
“Teasing? At least I can help you take off your pants.” Dino winked.
