- Volume 1 Chapter 14 14.making The Country
Almost everyone was inside. just 26 hrs before complete lockdown. The ministers called Emma on private line and told her that she has complete right to call that piece of land an own country that is not under the laws of the current president.
And an hour later she got it even on paper well written. In a direct call to the president, he found her eccentrical and funny but saw she really meant that. It’s not like she asked for much just a small piece of land that their government couldn’t use anyway. After all, she paid so much money that she could even buy the whole country if she wanted.
UN accepted it the same day and on the same day, her country was made.
Name of the country: Aislin country
Current amount of people: over 20 000
Military power: existent and strong
Allies: All those that don’t want to fight me for living space
Enemies: At the moment none, no idea about future
Future development: Unimaginable
Current ruler: Me
When this memorandum came out some people started laughing out loud and just gave up on asking more questions.
This silly woman really had some strange ideas.
But that silly woman read their correspondence and snickered herself. The stuff she saw in those secret files could destroy everyone, but she actually used it to make herself even stronger.
She used the money to buy new developers, mad professors and crazy scientists that could maybe in the future save the planet.
But that is not all.
She used her money to buy more shelters and sent people there as well in the name of the project. After everything starts and economy crashes, what is the use of all that money?
She did it all and now she just waited for the last arrivals. One more day and the place will close.
Mario changed in one day. He would sit and read the notebook that had thousands of pages with his full concentration whenever he had time.
The details written in the notebook was so perfect that he even started to sweat a bit. From time to time he would send a gaze full of worship towards the woman that just sat there in comfortable cloths with her glasses on and laptop in her lap.
She hated people getting close to her when she wrote so he ordered to make a small office around her made of few cardboard boxes.
Some time passed and most of the things she ordered already were packed in huge storages on the ninth floor.
Yes. The storages were top to bottom storages like in big stores that were fully automated and could hold an almost endless amount of things.
She checked does more time the storage and saw that there is still over 10% of storage free.
She furrowed her eyebrows and took off her headset.
”Mario…” She didn’t even call him loudly when he almost instantaneous appeared in front of her and saluted.
She blinked ta him and she had to stifle a laugh as she needed now to be serious.
So she just coughed to cover her laughter. ”Cough… I need your advice. You might have an idea.”
”Tell me what is it about?” He saw her looking around and understood they have to speak where not many could hear so he took her to the glass booth where the main computer is for this station and asked the soldiers to get out.
After he closed the door she sat down on the table where everyone could see them and she started explaining.
”This storage has food, weapons, clothes, medicine, fluids, chemicals, computer parts, books, seeds, spare parts for all the equipment they had and much more. But now we are left with 10% of free space that we could use as well. What would you recommend.”
He took the notepad she had and checked the list of things stuffed inside and he literally blanked. Does she plan to live here for the next hundred years? He calmed his breath and as he scrolled down he realized that at least 30% of the storage space was filled with all sorts of weapons.
”Add more of weapons that are the newest on market. I can see only mechanical weapons, but I know someone who could bring us weapons made for the newest generations of soldiers. ”
As he turned his head to explain to her a crafty smile blossomed on her lips and he froze in his motion. What kind of thing does she have now in her mind?
”We still have enough time. Can you find smart people that like to think with such stuff? And invent those? I think I can pay quite a bit of money for them to come here.” She smiled ta him now brightly now even blinding his eyes and numbly just nodded.
”Fine, tell me how much and where they are and I will transfer as much money you think is needed for those weapons.” She just looked down at the notebook and then back at him.
he snapped out his stupor and coughed as his throat was quite dry for a moment. ”Chough, chough… I know a few people and they are kind of crazy. I am afraid they will blow the whole facility in the air if we let them in.”
”Hmmm. Then what to do?”
In his eyes, a cold light flashed. ”I can bring them, but you have to give me full right to kill them if they make trouble.”
She smiled brightly. ”In 24 hrs you will find out why I made all this. Killing them will be least of our problems.”
”Promise… ”he had to be able to handle those people. He feared she could be soft and in case of danger, those people might be a way too bothersome.
”Then bring those that have family and love their family. Like that we could have some sort of insurance. You don’t have to bring them all… And buy as many new weapons as you can. I give you 12 hrs.” She turned around and left the place.
Then she sat down on her chair again and started writing on her laptop. They saw she was fixating on something she was writing in a hurry.
