The Apocalyptic Mother And Her Struggles - Volume 1 Chapter 24 24.they Dare
Mr. Fin was originally in a special task squad. Not many females were ever admitted into such squads but after they saw her skills there was not even one man that could say anything against it.
She smiled at Emma and nodded. ”Speak straight. I had enough to deal with this that spoke round around.”
That earned her melodious laugh and tap on her shoulder. ”Same, same…”
Mr.Fin understood and turned to her husband. ”I will go. Find us a good house. I want a house… with a garden… The biggest as possible.”
Emma chuckled. ”Tell Mailes that I sent you and go to the fifth floor second stage. On the right side is a normal house but a bit bigger garden area as it is in the corner.”
”Yes mam.” He saluted and went with one of the soldiers to Mailes while Emma took Mr. Fin to her eighth floor.
In a small home, they sat and drank warm tea while Aisa chatted fervently with the three soldiers that were always circling her unnoticeably, like moons around the planet.
”Mr. Fin…” Emma wanted to say when she saw her raise her hand.
”Call me Olivia.” She smiled while she saw the play with the corner of her eye.
”Then you call me Emma and this is my daughter Aisa. these three are Sandra, Tia and Uma.”
Olivia Fin was not dumb. Bringing her here and showing them to her seemed to be something connected to her concern.
”As you can know personally, not many females are thought to be strong or have any kind of readiness in defense. Only these three were in the whole unit that I hired. So I kept them together. Now I want to make all females, young or old to learn how to fight.”
Olivia Fin was stunned a bit. ”Why? This is a safe place…”
Emma nodded. ”Even safest place can turn into hellhouse if we have traitors and unruly people.”
Those words were sharp and could be heard as an echo in the garden.
Olivia Fin looked at those three and then at Emma that looked calmly at her tea with a slightly sarcastic smile on her face. ”They dare?”
Emma rose her head and nodded while her eyes turned icy. ”They do…”
Olivia Fin silently nipped on her tea and nibble on cookie in front of her. ”Uhm, tasty.”
”Aisa made them. She is an amazing cook. That is a strange thing. I am so bad that my ex-husband hand to order food every day. Luckily I was kind of good with money so it was not a big deal. But this child loves to cook and is extremely smart.” She looked straight at Olivia Fin’s eyes and blinked.
”Good. That is very good. How is her self protection education?”
”If you are level 10, she is about level 5…” Emma smiled as she looked at her innocent-looking child.
”It seems some things you prepared from long time ago.”
Emma nodded. ”She had knowledge of it but her body was very weak when she was younger. She ha heart disease.”
”Cured now?” Olivia was stunned it was not easy to cure such a big thing.
”The doctor that cured her is here as well. He invented new kind of medicine that everyone tried to stop. Imagine, those people tried to prevent him to speak of a perfect cure for heart disease. Stupid people. Luckily I found out on time and invested in it and luckily he was successful and cured her completely. She is quite a lucky child.”
”To have luck is a skill as well. Not everyone can have it.” Olivia chuckled while she watched floating movements from the child.
Even tho it seemed that they played around, but actually they trained her to move faster and utilize better her strength, endurance and movements. But only someone like her could see that. Anyone else would think they just played around.
”Can I check her skills?” Olivia Fin wiped slowly her mouth as glint passed her eyes.
Emma just slightly nodded and saw Olivia Fin appearing in blink next to the soldiers and Aisa.
She rose her eyebrows as she looked at how she beat up the girls in a couple of swings and tried to catch Aisa.
But Aisa was not anymore a weak girl from three months ago. She would run every morning for tens of miles on tracks then she would swim and then she trained her fighting skills with Emma that was not a bad fighter.
Actually Emma’s parents made her do many different self-protection classes when she was younger. So next to her geek club she attended many other activities like boxing, judo, aikido, swordplay, shooting, mountain climbing, running, and many more.
That is the only reason she could pass through hordes of zombies in past life and find a cure to Aisa’s sickness. Too bad, it was too late.
But now she trained together with her daughter, teaching her hiding, avoiding, climbing, jumping and many other skills.
So when Olivia asked how her skill is she knew she meant offensive skills, but Emma didn’t say that Aisa’s defensive skill was about 9 of 10.
So while Olivia succeded a few times to touch Aisa, she could never get a real grip on her.
After a while, she turned her head towards Emma and smile brightly. ”Whoooa, you liar…”
The three soldiers were actually astonished by whole ordeal. They had never idea how powerful this child was until this moment. They stared at Emma questioningly.
Emma just chuckled. ”Don’t stare here will be holes on me appearing if you continue. I need you around her because she is still a child. No matter how fast she is, she is not faster than someone’s hatred.”
Sandra frowned and then her face calmed down as her eyes became icy. She understood some things now and stared at Emma fervently. ”I understand.”
But the two others didn’t seem to understand the underlying message.
She stood up went to Aisa and just stood still next to her. Emma just smiled as Olivia Fin sat down while huffing a bit.
”5 of 10? Who are you kidding?” She gulped down the rest of the tea and took more from the can.
”Yes as offensive ability. In defense…maybe 8-9 of 10?” Emma was actually quite proud of her child.
”Monsters…” Mumbled Oliva Fin while she stuffed her face with cookies.
”Thank you for the compliment. I prefer to be called a monster than a weak link that can be discarded at any time.” Emma retorted while she fought with Olivia Fin with the speed of cookie devouring.
Aisa just chuckled and sat down on her laptop while she started writing fast.
Emma saw her action from the corner of her eye and smiled. ”Who?”
”Hehehehe all of them wanna join in.” She turned her head and saw multiple open camera views from different boys and girls.’
”Only girls with you, boys can be taught from Mr. Fin and Mario Santini. they are waiting for recruits.”
”Did you hear what mom said. Boys can go to the first level. Just tell them boss sent you.”
Emma almost chocked don her cookie while Olivia started coughing as well. They started drinking water to get some air and then laughed out loud at her sentence.
”Oh Aisa… Poor Mario…” She felt a tiny bit sorry for that man.
Just a tiny bit…
