The Art of Chaotic Divinity - Chapter 404: Your Logic Is Flawed!
Chapter 404: Your Logic Is Flawed!
“Miss, you’ve gone too far!” Aunt Lan exclaimed as she yanked on Deng Yongshi’s sleeve once again. “If your grandfather finds out…”
“Hmph, I’m not forcing him!” Deng Yongshi snorted, turning to Ling Feng with a mischievous smirk. “What’s wrong, Teacher Ling? Am I forcing you to do something you don’t want to do? You can stay if you want or leave if you don’t! Go on, leave!”
Ling Feng rubbed his nose, realizing he had underestimated Deng Yongshi’s maliciousness. She had really found a clever way to humiliate him.
“Miss Deng, are you sure you want me to stay here?” Ling Feng asked with a stretch before smiling brightly. “The conditions are quite nice, actually.”
“Of course!” Deng Yongshi wrinkled her nose, retorting, “It suits you perfectly!”
“That’s great! Perfect, in fact!” Ling Feng responded, raising an eyebrow. He then swiftly moved into the room behind the courtyard, opened the door and laughed. “Look at this! Such a big courtyard, and the room isn’t bad at all. Thanks for the thoughtful arrangements, Miss Deng!”
Without hesitation, he walked straight into the room called the Shuyi Pavilion and laid down on the bed, right in front of everyone’s eyes.
“You… you… you scoundrel!”
Deng Yongshi almost exploded with rage. The Shuyi Pavilion was her private chamber!
Deng Yongshi yelled and rushed into her room. She trembled with fury when she saw Ling Feng lying on her bed.
This filthy man didn’t even remove his outer coat before sprawling on my bed!
No, it wouldn’t be acceptable even if he did remove his coat!
Deng Yongshi was on the verge of losing her mind. Gritting her teeth, she shouted, “You scoundrel, I’m going to kill you!”
The maids standing nearby were equally stunned. After all, this was the young lady’s private chamber!
In the prestigious general’s mansion, no other man had ever dared to step foot in Miss Deng’s bedroom, let alone lie on her bed.
Ling Feng realized things were getting serious as soon as he laid down. The room’s fragrance, which smelled just like Deng Yongshi, confirmed his suspicion—he was on her bed!
This is incredibly awkward…
However, being Ling Feng, he knew that jumping up and apologizing wouldn’t solve anything. So, he crossed his legs and smiled at the fuming Deng Yongshi. “Miss Deng, it’s getting late, and I’m ready to rest. Isn’t it improper for you to burst into my room like this? People might gossip if they hear about it.”
Hearing this, the maids’ faces twitched.
Isn’t it even more improper for you to be lying in Miss Deng’s room so brazenly?
“Shameless! Scoundrel! Pervert!” Deng Yongshi screamed, kicking towards Ling Feng. He flipped off the bed to avoid the kick and said, “Miss Deng, you assigned this place to me. I’m just following your instructions. What’s wrong with that?”
“Bull… bullshit! You scoundrel!” Deng Yongshi cursed in her fury, unable to hold back.
“Miss Deng, I think your logic is flawed. You gave me the courtyard. Doesn’t that include the pavilion inside it? Do wealthy families normally sleep in courtyards? Sorry, I really don’t get the trends of rich families. That’s my bad!”
“Pfft…” Some of the maids couldn’t hold back their laughter and giggled softly. But when they saw Deng Yongshi’s murderous glare, they quickly stifled their laughter, clutching their bellies to suppress their mirth.
“You scoundrel, how dare you twist the facts! You’re a shameless wretch who dares to sleep on my bed! I’ll kill you!”
“Your bed?” Ling Feng feigned shock. “Miss Deng, didn’t you say I should switch places with Xiao Bai? I thought this was Xiao Bai’s room!”
“What did you say?” Deng Yongshi was seething with anger, her rage reaching new heights. This wretched man had not only insulted her by implying she was a dog but had done so without uttering a single dirty word!
Bastard! Bastard!!!
Deng Yongshi stared at Ling Feng with her fists clenched tightly. She roared, “Get out! Get out! Get out of here!”
“Forget it, since Miss Deng won’t let me stay here, I’ll reluctantly take up residence at Tianyi Pavilion,” Ling Feng shrugged, looking innocent. “Aunt Lan, could you please show me the way?”
“Uh…” Aunt Lan glanced between Ling Feng and Deng Yongshi, sighed softly, and made a gesture of invitation towards Ling Feng. “Mr. Ling, please follow me.”
“Thank you, Aunt Lan.”
With Aunt Lan leading the way, Ling Feng swaggered out of Deng Yongshi’s room.
Back in her room, Deng Yongshi fumed and smashed things in her fury until she finally calmed down a bit. Her eyes gleamed with a cold and vengeful light as she gritted her teeth. “Scoundrel, I’ll make you pay. If I don’t teach you a lesson, I’ll take your last name!”
She looked at the bed where Ling Feng had just been lying and stomped her foot angrily. “Why are you all just standing there? Burn the bed, the sheets, and everything else that scoundrel touched! Burn it all!”
“Yes, Miss!”
The maids exchanged glances and quickly got to work, all the while smirking to themselves. The usually domineering young lady finally meets her match…
…
Aunt Lan led Ling Feng to Tianyi Pavilion and then bowed apologetically. “Mr. Ling, the young lady is just a bit spoiled and headstrong. She’s not a bad person. Please don’t take her actions to heart.”
Ling Feng smiled and shook his head. “Don’t worry, Aunt Lan. I understand. Since Senior Deng has entrusted me with Miss Deng’s education, I’ll do my best.”
Aunt Lan nodded slightly. “That’s good to hear. Given that you and the young lady are about the same age, perhaps you can help her better understand things.”
“Maybe,” Ling Feng replied, pursing his lips. Given Deng Yongshi’s hostile attitude, he knew he had to keep the matter of the demonic shen crystal core a secret. If she found out, she might destroy it out of spite.
Since I’m here, I’ll just take it one step at a time.
“Well then, I won’t disturb you any further. Please rest well, Mr. Ling.” Aunt Lan bowed again and then led the other maids away quietly.
Ling Feng closed the door behind them and sat cross-legged on the bed. He sighed softly, deciding not to dwell on the day’s events. Instead, he focused on condensing the Human Dao divine inscription and began his meditation.
No matter where he was, the time he spent each day practicing with the Human Dao Eye was extremely valuable and not to be wasted.
