The Ascension Age - Chapter 7: So Much For a Silent Escape...
It turns out that Aire wasn’t the only one brought to the clinic. That sudden event caught a few more people unaware, causing quite a lot of accidents. The clinic had more than 200 beds, which showed just how many students lived in the dormitories for the clinic to be this big. The school was just that enormous.
At the moment, all of them were occupied, and there were even more students on the ground. Simply put, the clinic was in chaos, and it wasn’t just this one. The other clinics spread out in the school estate were just as busy.
That being said, no one thought of anything that Aire passed out. There was no lack of unconscious people in the clinic at the moment. Aire was lucky, though. He was quite close, so he got a bed. Well, because of the lack of beds, the nurses and doctors had to… improvise.
Aire had been ‘unconscious’ all this time. It wasn’t far from the truth since he didn’t even have his sense of touch during his ‘body upgrade.’ He didn’t know that he was brought to the clinic or anything like that. All he could do was wait while talking with Stella.
Eventually, Stella brightened up and gave him good news as she announced, “Yay! The transformation is done!”
Aire was taken aback. Sure enough, he really began to feel his body again. His senses began to return, and he could ultimately tell that he was in a bed. Aire wasn’t surprised since that would be the natural thing to happen. He fell in front of the entrance of the Stellar Path School, so there was no lack of people to see that he passed out. Obviously, he would be brought to a hospital, clinic, or whatever.
‘Weird…’ However, he felt something strange… ‘why do I feel like someone’s hugging me?’
Aire’s feelings were returning oh so slowly, so even though he could tell that, he couldn’t move yet. With that, he thought, ‘That makes no sense. I’m a patient, you know? Who would try to hug a patient in a hospital? Could it be… a molester?!’
Aire did his best to move. Unfortunately, it was way too difficult. Besides, whoever was hugging him was putting a lot of strength into it.
Eventually, he was able to at least open his eyes. Following that, his heart froze for a moment.
“What the hell is happening here?”
At this very moment, there was a girl tightly hugging him. From the looks of it, she felt very comfortable since there was a smile on her face. Of course, any person would find this situation completely ridiculous, maybe even consider if it was some dream. Aire was obviously no different.
To understand how this came to be, we need to go back a few hours in the past. When the Roaming Stellar Light came down, it released an enormous amount of Stellar Energy around the planet. Obviously, Earth’s own Stellar Energy went into complete chaos because of that.
One must remember that Stellar Risers used Stellar Energy to train and breakthrough into the next levels. That said, this school, which had the highest number of Stellar Risers on Earth, had many Risers practicing when the event happened.
Because of that, the energy inside their bodies also went out of control. Let alone Aire and the girl on his side, the school’s clinics were simply filled to the brim with Stellar Risers that were injured by the chaotic Stellar Energy from outside. More than half of the ones brought to the clinic were knocked out because of it. That being said, the doctors and nurses were lacking the necessary beds for everyone to lie down.
There were many students who didn’t lose their consciousness, so they were left on the ground without a bed. As for those who passed out, the staff could only put them together in the beds while they did their best to examine everyone. Aire could be considered lucky since there were even a few beds with three people on them!
The doctors couldn’t afford to let them leave before they recovered their consciousness. Stellar Energy injuries were very serious, and before the Risers woke up, they wouldn’t be able to examine them correctly. If something went wrong while they were unconscious, it might be too late once the doctors found out. In fact, it had already happened five times since the Roaming Stellar Light appeared, which prompted the doctors to prohibit any unconscious Riser from leaving the school’s clinics.
As one could imagine, that’s how Aire was placed together with another Riser. The doctors were too busy to care about the Riser’s gender from the sheer number of patients. Especially because the number of beds wouldn’t match the difference in the number of both genders, so they didn’t even try. Last but not least, those on the beds were all unconscious or had very serious injuries, so it wasn’t the time to care about appearances.
Aire did his best to move his head. He wasn’t the only one in that situation. The curtain in his bed was partially closed, leaving only the front open for when the nurses or doctors passed by. Well, there were also cameras recording everything everywhere. Still, he could tell that the place was full just from the noise.
Aire tried to ask the girl to let him go. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do much more than a whisper with his strength. No, to be more specific, that was because of how much strength the girl was using. He could barely take any air at all, let alone let out any voice.
‘Stella! How long until I can move again? I can’t stay in this situation.’
Stella then replied, ‘Move? What are you talking about? There’s no way you would be able to move.’
‘Don’t tell me that…’ Aire felt a chill on his back as he asked, ‘My body is paralyzed?’
Stella couldn’t help but look at Aire as if he was an idiot… it’s just that her face made it look cute anyway. She then replied, ‘Of course not! If that happened, then we would really be destined to die, Aire.’
Aire sighed in relief for a moment but was still puzzled as he asked, ‘Then, why can’t I move? I’m doing my best, but I can’t even move an inch.’
‘Obviously, it’s her fault.’ Stella laughed as she explained, ‘This girl hugging you is at the Stellar Paths Stage, three entire Stages above you. Not only that, but she already finished creating her Stellar Paths. Even though your body has improved a lot, you can’t possibly win in a contest of strength against her.’
Aire felt like crying but had no tears. Didn’t that mean he was just too weak to do anything? The worst part was that she was pressing his neck while holding him with her arms and legs. His voice couldn’t get out at all.
‘What did I do to deserve this?’ Nonetheless…he thought, ‘Well, it’s not too bad.’
Stella couldn’t help but cheer up.
‘Go, Aire, go! This is your chance. Since you’re already in the perfect position, you could start spreading your seed now.’
Aire almost vomited blood. Sure, the way she was hugging him would indeed allow him to put his friend inside the girl if he put in a bit of effort. However…
‘Fuck you! Are you telling me to have sex with her in front of everyone? Can’t you hear how many people are in this room alone? What the hell are you thinking?’
Stella was puzzled as she said, ‘That’s weird. I thought animals didn’t care about appearances during reproduction.’
‘You’re talking about unintelligent animals, idiot! I don’t know about other races, but we humans would definitely not have sex in front of others,’ said Aire as tears were coming from his eyes already.
Well, there were a few exceptions, like AV actresses and actors. But that definitely wasn’t the case at the moment.
‘You humans are so complicated. It’s just the natural way of things. Why care so much about it? Let me tell you something very good. This girl is quite good. I can guarantee that your child will be very talented. How is it? Do you want to have her now?’
Aire’s embarrassment began to change into anger very quickly. However, he quickly calmed down. It was obvious that Stella simply didn’t understand how the world worked. However, Aire had a bad premonition a second later.
‘Do you mean she’s a genius?’ Stella nodded in response.
‘Yep. I checked the average level of humans before becoming your assistant. She’s definitely at the very top of the list of possible partners you might want to choose in the future. Did you like that information? Feel excited now?’
Aire’s mouth twitched in response. Excited? He was terrified already. A top genius! There’s no way in hell she’s just a nobody.
‘I have to get her away from me before she wakes up. My low-profile life depends on it!’
Aire might have been at the very limit of the acceptable aptitude in the past. However, he still had a basic idea of how to use Stellar Energy. Aire might not be her match, but she was sleeping. Perhaps he could squeeze his way out.
Aire then concentrated and began to focus on the Stellar Energy in his surroundings. At that moment, he finally noticed the results of his body transformation. The amount of Stellar Energy that Aire could feel and absorb was much higher than before. He felt it to be as easy as breathing.
‘So this is what talent means…no, forget it! Focus on your task. Your life depends on it, Aire! You can definitely make a silent escape.’
Aire waited for his blood to circulate through his body while it brought Stellar Energy together. Without any Stellar Paths, the process was slow like that. Though, Aire was already divinely fast compared to others.
‘Now!’
Aire couldn’t control Stellar Energy, but his body could make use of it as long as it was there. Now that he let it circulate through his body for a while, he had a short moment where his strength was much higher than normal.
‘Ohhhhh!!!!’
Little by little, Aire began to squeeze his way out, trying to escape by going down the bed. After all, his and the girl’s head were close to the wall, so he definitely couldn’t go up. However…
*Moan!*
Suddenly, a reverberating moan echoed throughout the room, attracting everyone’s attention. When they looked in the direction of Aire’s bed, they saw how Aire’s head was suddenly squeezed in between the girl’s legs, with his nose and mouth touching that special place. To make things worse, the girl was only wearing a skirt, so the only thing between his face and ‘that area’ was her underwear.
The room, which was quite noisy just a moment ago with the patients and the workers, froze in silence.
It wasn’t over, though. Her own moan made the girl finally regain consciousness. When she looked down, she saw how she was squeezing Aire’s head against… well, you know where…
“Ahhh!”
*Bang!*
The next second, everyone could see a body flying through the room as poor Aire thought, ‘So much for a silent escape…’
After that, Aire hit the wall on the other side of the room, which made his vision go dark.
‘Oh, it seems like you’re really passing out this time,’ said Stella as Aire’s consciousness left him, but not before he mentally cursed one last time.
‘Well…shit!’
