584 Was she a pickpocket in her past life?
An auntie once said the feeling of anger or dissatisfaction you have with your partner intensifies in the presence of another couple lovingly showing affection. You just seem to show a forced smile when you see them cuddle but glare at your partner more intensely.
Yeoh Jun never thought his son’s PDA would earn him a glare from his wife. She kept looking at him while biting through that tart after asking him what was up.
Something was definitely up but he wasn’t going to say it. He wasn’t going to say he wanted to spice up things in the bedroom and his son paid for an all-inclusive beginner package to sexy adventures.
So when she asked he said, “I am fine,” which should have ended the conversation but she asked two more times after that and even gave his light brain a casual glance.
When most partners ask their significant other if their okay and they say they are fine but their tone is off, it means that they are absolutely not fine. Using this rule of thumb, Zi Xingxi could tell something shady was going on but he wouldn’t talk. She could only glare at him for now but she didn’t let it go.
Zi Han was so entranced by his man that he didn’t realise his parents were having a silent disagreement. He was busy telling Yi Chen about the little succulent plant he planted with his grandfather and that it survived. Yes, he had killed one before which was virtually impossible but he managed to do it somehow. This was why he was excited to tell Yi Chen about it.
“Do you want to go see it? It’s up on the rooftop sundeck,” he said and Yi Chen who was staring intensely at him like he was the only one in the world nodded his head and the two of them got up.
“It’s so adorable and grandpa said it will bloom a colourful flower on top of it. It can be either red, pink or orange,” he said completely immersed in what he was saying.
What he didn’t realise was that it was a fake succulent that his grandfather tricked him into getting because just like his mother he had no connection whatsoever to nature. Everything they planted or grew died so… unwilling to lose another of his rare plants he gave him a fake one and lied that it was real.
…..
While the two of them disappeared at the top of the stairs, Yeoh Jun said, “I am so happy for him. At least there won’t be a third wheel anymo-.”
Before he could finish talking Zi Xingxi interrupted him saying, “Give me your light brain?”
Yeoh Jun, “…”
This was the first time his wife had asked for his light brain directly. He didn’t have a problem with his wife having his light brain, in fact, she had full access to it and could even use it the entire day without him asking for it back. It was the same vice versa.
He could use hers as well and there was absolutely no problem with it. But knowing what he had been searching for prior to this he would rather choose death than give it to her. Okay, maybe choosing death was an exaggeration but still, he wasn’t planning on giving it to her.
Now, most people would say that everybody needs privacy and that using somebody’s phone or light brain in this case is a violation of privacy. Yes, that is correct not unless one’s married. There shouldn’t be any issues with your significant other answering a call for you while you are in the shower or switching off your alarm. As long as they are well behaved and don’t mess with your job, or family members or abuse this power there is no problem at all.
It’s a trust thing. The most blissful part of a relationship is when there is complete and total trust.
Did Zi Xingxi trust her husband? Yes, she totally did but right now the man looked shady so she did what she had to do when he said this,
“Why?”
Why? Well, that was a new word she had never heard before.
“Yeoh Jun, I am not playing with you. Give it to me,” she said saying his full name which indeed terrified this grown man.
“Now babe, I did search for something but I really really don’t want you to see it so,” he hurriedly explained knowing full and well that things were going to go downhill from here onwards.
Zi Xingxi wrapped her finger around her strand of hair and asked, “Then what were you looking for? Was it a gift for me? I like jewellery like a lot so.”
Yeoh Jun knew that answering this question wasn’t a great idea but the way she looked at her and her body language screamed vixen.
“I I um…,” he said as he leaned a little further away from his wife who was leaning closer and closer. Staring into those charming eyes he swallowed hard.
“Babe, you should move back a little. What if… what if the boys come back,” he said with a stammer as his wife crawled on top of him forcing him to lie down on the couch.
Zi Xingxi smiled seductively as her fingers trailed up Yeoh Jun’s chest, neck and chin as she spoke sweetly to him. “I also like chocolates and flowers. We can light the candles and open a bottle of wine. Isn’t that romantic?” she said and Yeoh Jun shook his head the heat in his body rushing to his lower half.
“Would you like that?” she whispered in his ear with the tip of his nose grazing his skin making him very itchy. Yeoh Jun closed his eyes as his adam’s apple rolled.
“Then let’s go to the bedroom and have an appetiser,” he said his voice breathy but before he knew it his light brain was unclasped from his wrist and the person on top of his body got up hastily.
By the time he opened her eyes, Zi Xingxi was on the other side of the couch with her feet up while unlocking his light brain.
Yeoh Jun, “…”
Was she a pickpocket in her past life?
