606 Getting married makes him even more thirsty
Zi Han couldn’t help but laugh hearing this. He hoped tonight he could consume Yi Chen during the consummation. Seeing Zi Han laughing like that Yi Chen let it slide. It seemed this little brat had been saved by his in law.
The ring on Zi Han’s finger was on and he wasn’t crying anymore so this was great. Zi Han got himself together and took the ring from little miss Yi who seemed pleased with herself.
Zi Han glanced at the ring with something flashing in his eyes. He twisted the ring in between his fingertips before calling out, “Chen-ge.”
Yi Chen looked into his eyes through the veil his expression eager to hear what Zi Han had to say to him. Zi Han smiled lightly before saying, “I didn’t like you at first. I hated that you were taller than me, you were stronger than me and I always wanted to compete against you. I honestly thought you would you know… keep your distance from me but you kept appearing in front of me again and again and again.”
To be honest these weren’t the romantic tear jerking vows Yi Chen was expecting. He was well aware that his lover didn’t like him much at first and Zi Han made no effort to hide it. How Zi Han even fell in love with him, in the end, was a mystery to him. At some point, he just thought he would either be friend zoned or worse enemy zoned forever.
“But when it hit me it hit me hard. I couldn’t stop thinking about you. I always dreamt about you and I couldn’t wait to see you every morning. I have been looking forward to this day since the moment I decided that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“From this day forth I promise you my everlasting devotion, loyalty and respect. I will always be there for you in everything whether it be good or bad. I will strive to keep that beautiful smile on your face and do my best to make you happy and make you feel loved. I am more than willing to be your husband… I love you Chen-ge.”
Zi Han was never a poet or the one to come up with romantic words but everything he said was coming from the heart.
Yi Chen was so enthralled that he became visibly restless. He wanted to move closer and just kiss him. Why couldn’t he? Why couldn’t he just go underneath that veil and kiss his lips in front of everybody?
…..
His Adam’s apple rolled as he leaned closer before taking a hesitant step back. His heart was in turmoil. He would have never thought Zi Han’s mouth could be this sweet.
Fully aware that this groom was about to pounce on the other groom the elder had to move this along as quickly as possible. In fact, he was so right because Yi Chen’s hand was reaching for Zi Han’s waist so yep.
Auntie Yi was especially quick to her feet bringing with her a jug of wine and two golden chalices. She filled them up generously too.
Yi Chen wanted to say something but Zi Han had already accepted his his question simple. “How am I supposed to drink with my veil on?… Can I take it off?” he asked auntie Yi and the answers to both those questions were you will figure it out and no.
Zi Han, “…”
“I can come underneath there if you like?” suggested Yi Chen his words very considerate but it sounded so wrong the way it came from his mouth.
Zi Han chuckled while asking, “Do you want me
to lift my skirt for you then?”
Auntie Yi, “…”
Yi Chen couldn’t help but laugh. He wasn’t ashamed to claim the title of the luckiest man in the entire federation at this moment. “Geez, just cross your arms together so we can all get out of here. I am starving,” whispered auntie Yi and the two complied, well, mostly because Yi Chen couldn’t wait for consummation or as Yi Youxi put it consuming each other.
“Wait wait… that’s not… baby, don’t put your arm like that,” said Zi Han seriously questioning his husband’s IQ right now.
“Just let me come underneath there. It will be way easier,” he said and Zi Han knew that was an utter lie. This person just wanted an excuse to kiss him in front of everyone.
“No, you have to wait until the bridal chamber,” he spoke through gritted teeth but his parents still heard it. The mic was off but they were close to them so they could hear everything.
Auntie Yi was fed up so like a teacher guiding preschoolers she helped them cross their arms together and exhaled deeply before saying, “There now drink it… all of it.”
Yi Chen lowered his head to peek underneath the veil but Zi Han tugged the corner down while saying no peeking.
If there was anything the citizens of Onyx federation learnt from this it was that Marshal Yi was a very playful person in front of Zi Han. People always wondered how an aloof man with a cold and indifferent face spent time with a crazy happy person like Zi Han. From the outside, their personalities didn’t seem to match and despite looking good together the people didn’t expect them to last.
Looking at it now, he was just cold and indifferent to the rest of the federation but in front of Zi Han, he was a big fluffy husky with a lot of energy.
The two couldn’t help but chuckle while staring at each other drinking from the chalices. Yi Chen who wanted their closeness to last a little longer drank much slower than Zi Han taking a small sip at a time.
Zi Han raised his hand and tipped the chalice slightly while stifling his laughter. Yi Chen had no choice but to finish it all. After they separated he couldn’t help but stare at his lover imagining that soft tongue licking the wine stains on his (Zi Han’s) lower lip.
He never thought he would be this thirsty for a kiss. It was as though after getting married a switch was flipped and his hunger grew tenfold.
