The Best Alchemist - Chapter 2 Alchemist Training

“Please chose a name and begin your road to become a god. You can not change your name so chose wisely.”

“My name is Brink Of Time.”

“Welcome Brink Of Time.”

I am teleported to the center of what looks like a large town. I look around and notice that there are many players or NPCs walking around, there is no difference in how they look so I can’t tell.

“This looks so realistic!” I exclaim. I remember that the game designers boasted that it’s all run by an AI and that the NPCs are like normal people and have their own thoughts in a advertisement for the game. I walk towards a small building that has a sign above it that says “Alchemy, Buy Potions Here!” I walk into the shop and see a old woman.

She says to me in a older board tone, “You want to buy something.”

“No” I answer, “I would like to get alchemical training.” I say in a slightly hopeful tone.

“Sure,” she replies in that same tone as before, “That’ll be 4 silvers.”

“Can I have training now and pay you with interest in a week?”

“Sure but you have to pay me 14 silvers and the end of the week,” She says in a slightly greedy manner.

“Ok.”

“Come here and put your head down.” I do as she says and then she puts her hand on the back of my head and transfers the knowledge of basic potion making to me. “There, done. Now come back and pay me in a week or I will get the guards to hunt you down.

“Ok, I will.” I then leave the store and walk outside of the town to find some monsters to get some copper from to buy basic potion ingredients. As I am walking to the town gate I see at a ton of players heading in and out of the town.
