The Big Bang System - Chapter 31
After multiple weeks of training Angela’s training was going superbly and she has enhanced her strength considerably. The rate at which her muscles healed means that she can train 2-3 times as much as a normal person could without being permanently injured.
Though her physical training is going well, her runic study has hit a major snag. Though she is already an expert at inscribing runes, she could no longer progress further as she is encountering more and more materials that she has no knowledge of, things like ‘infused stone’ or ‘arcane soil’. In order to find these materials, Angela would have to advance in other directions, such as her quests or her forging.
First, Angela opens up the general tab; it provides a lot more detailed information about how her training was proceeding, even having a few new stats appear.
General:
Name: Angela Snow
Age: 17
Hp: 150
Attack: 2-4 (+10-50) rune blade equipped
Defence: 1
Stamina: 150
Strength: 1.5
Agility: 3
Cultivation method: N/A
Cultivation stage: mortal rank 1
Bloodlines: ??? (high grade anima affinity)
Anima: 600/724 (+6.3/h)
Creation value: 4’576’342
The new stats are interesting to Angela, strength and agility seemed to have a base of one meaning the amount an ordinary person would have. With 3 agility Angela was on the level of a professional athlete already, despite having only trained for a short period of time. Not only that but her stamina has tripled and her Hp has gone up as well, this is very important if she has to continue fighting.
As for the bloodline… she has no idea what it meant, only knowing that it had allowed her to use the anima blade ability from before. Presumably it would be revealed at some point, once she had advanced to a certain point (though what point she would have to advance to is the real problem).
Satisfied with her results, Angela decides to step up her training once more, though Lenara would have to be left on the less difficult one as she is struggling to keep up. With that out of the way she can finally turn her attention to the quest menu, the way in which she has decided to advance.

Requests (note: items gathered for requests cannot be produced directly from anima):
Hand in 5 rank one soul fruit: 0/5, reward: rank two eternal heart fruit
Hand in 30 rank one rune blades 0/30, reward: runeforged metal creation manual
First of all, the request for soul fruit is easily completed; by now the trees had grown to full height and are producing the fruit at a steady pace. Along with that, the easiest quests to complete are the rune tempering sigil (she had seen that in the arcanus) as well as the rune blades request (though it would take some time to complete).
Gathering up the required fruit, Angela selects the request and completes it. The fruit in her hands disappear and are replaced by a grotesque fruit that looks very similar to a heart, even beating similar to a live one.
Angela almost drops it out of disgust but supresses the feeling as she reads the description, her eyes slowly getting wider and wider.
Eternal heart fruit: An incredible culmination of natural energy, the eternal heart fruit will increase the natural lifespan of the consumer by three days. This effect is increased for each fruit eaten with no limit.
Each fruit yields 1-2 seeds.
To grow a heart fruit one must plant the seed into a plant cultivation sigil and watered for three years. The tree will then produce one fruit before withering.
While the effect of the fruit is incredible (basically allowing for immortality), the cost to create one is still fairly out of reach for now. Angela chooses to register it with a small fragment of the main fruit before steeling her will and taking a bite.
It wasn’t as bad as she was expecting. Rather than the repulsive taste and texture she had anticipated, it was rather like eating raw steak and the taste was actually good. Angela quickly finished off the whole fruit and is left with two seeds; it seems she is lucky this time.
The seeds cant be planted just yet and so Angela stores them somewhere safe before beginning to prepare for the tempering sigil, re-reading the entry on it and gathering some of the materials she needed.
With everything prepared Angela takes a short break to go visit Lenara, chatting for a while before she heads back and readies herself to create the sigil; undoubtably the hardest construct she has attempted so far.
