The Billionaire’s Song - Chapter 47 Breaking Dawn
After the wedding reception Kyle and I drove to the airstrip, where his jet was waiting to whisk us off to our honeymoon. He refused to disclose the location and told me it was a surprise. We hadn’t taken any luggage because he told me that he had already gone ahead and taken care of that as well.
I hadn’t told him about the call from Detective Mullins and the visit I had paid to Jean-Pierre.According to his detailed version, he somehow slipped from the stairs and toppled all the way down. He insists that it wasn’t an accident. He suffered a serious concussion and had a few broken ribs. He also had hip surgery and his shoulder was dislocated.
He wanted to apologize and make peace, in case he didn’t make it.I graciously accepted his apology and told him I had no hard feelings. He refused to see Madeline, the reason being he didn’t want her to see him in that position.
“Babe you’re going to love this place. I can’t wait till you see it.” Kyle looked at me, his eyes shinning with excitement.
“Tell me already.” I said impatiently.
“Maybe we should take a nap? You look sleepy.” Kyle tugged my hands.
We walked through to the bedroom and threw ourselves onto the king-size bed.
“Kyle-I have something to tell you.” I lifted my head off his his chest and turned to face him.
“I’m not going to like this am I?” I twisted his mouth.
“Yesterday, I got a call from Detective Mullins-” I went on to tell him everything and didn’t leave anything out.
“He said he was sorry and that he was grateful that we are taking good care of Maddie. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.” I placed my hand on his cheek.
“Its’s okay babe. I just don’t want secrets between us okay?” His eyes softened.
“If we’re done talking..” I started to unbutton his shirt.
“Oh we’re done.” He smiled and silenced me with a kiss.

I woke up in a different part of the world as the was dawn breaking, to the sound of waves dashing on a shallow coral reef. I glanced out of the bare window and my eyes met a serene blue lagoon. Kyle was still asleep so I silently got out of bed and slipped into my gown.
I slid open the glass door and walked barefoot towards the beach. The Villa was lined up on a winding jetty overlooking a private beach warm and in complete seclusion. Elegantly appointed with luxurious wooden interiors the villa offered luxurious accommodation in the heart of paradise. There was a spacious sun deck which was an ideal setting to bask in the sun for hoursand enjoy glimpses into the life beneath the waves through the glass portal. I sat on the sand and got caught up in watching the clear waves beat against each other.
“Good morning babe.” Kyle hugged me from behind and kissed my hair.”I thought I’d find you here. Welcome to the Maldives Mrs Kinley.”
“I figured just as much. Thank you for bringing me here. You’re the best baby.” I kissed him softly.
“Anything for you my love.” He slid his hands into my hair and kissed me again.
“As much as I would like to sit here and lock lips with you all day-I have a lot of activities planned for us, so we need to get moving wife.” He stood and helped me up.
“Really? Are you going to tell me or is this another one of your big secrets?” I laughed as I looped my arm with his.
“Well-if you really want to know-I thought we could go scuba diving or snorkeling. Sounds good?”
“Yes!” I grinned widely.
“Then after that we can do some sight-seeing-if you’re still up for it that is?”
“Let’s see how it goes?” I said as we got into the villa.
“I’ve ordered breakfast, hope you can eat this morning? But before that I thought we could go for our early morning jog? Sounds good?”
“Okay-I thought we would skip the work out sessions-since we’re on honeymoon?”
“Not a chance!” He put his hands around my waist.
“You’re right. I need to keep fit otherwise your baby is going to turn me into a fat, lazy slob.” I patted my stomach.
“No matter what you look like, I will still love you babe.” He stopped and turned to face me.
“I’m going to be big and-and-fat-and deformed. Will you still love me then?” I voiced my insecurities.
“Babe. I love you unconditionally. You’re carrying my child! I wish you knew how happy that makes me. I’m literally bursting with joy. I can’t explain it.” He laughed as he lifted me off the ground and spun me around.
“Clearly your joy is contagious.” I laughed as I looked into his eyes.
“I’m the happiest man alive babe. I’ve got everything that I could possibly need.” He kissed me softly.
“I just wish our parents were around to share it all with us.” He got serious again.
“I know.” We walked towards the house hand in hand.
We changed into our running gear and grabbed some water and headed out. The scenery all around was beautiful and we got distracted along the way as we stopped to take it in.
“I’m starving.” I stopped running and collapsed onto a bench that was close by. I drained the water that was left in the bottle and wiped the sweat of my face.
“Really? Let’s rest for a bit-and-we will find a coffee shop-or something where we-can have breakfast.” He said, out of breath.
“No-I can’t go eat in a public place all sweaty and tired.” I shook my head.
“Babe. You’re being dramatic. You look so sexy right now, I wish I could-”
“Don’t say it.” I put my finger on his lips. He laughed and kissed my hand.
“Everyone else’s opinion shouldn’t matter-only mine-and I say you’re looking lovely. Your hair is-wait let me do this.”He put his hands over my head, untied my hair and ran his fingers through it.
“There. I like it so much better like this. Now we need to get breakfast before you pass out.” He entwined our hands and pulled me off the bench.
“You never have to worry about how you look because you look good without even trying.” I grumbled.
Kyle threw back his head and laughed, “I wish that was true!”
“But it is.” I persisted.
“You’re too cute babe.” He kissed my nose.
We ended up at Reethi Resturant.Reethi served its own fusion of French, Asian and Italian cuisines. The dining space was split into three areas, you could have the option of dining out on the beach, or inside on the top or bottom deck. Menus featured an enticing mélange of favorite dishes from around the world using the finest and freshest ingredients. Breakfast was an immense selection of fresh bakeries, tropical fruits and healthy eats including superfoods.
“What would you like babe?” Kyle picked up the menu.
“Please order for us? I’m not sure what I want. I’m just really hungry.” I gulped down more water.
Kyle gave our order to the waiter and leaned over to take my hand.
“I’m sorry about last night-it was a supposed to be special but I slept through the trip and woke up to find myself in Maldives. Sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it babe. I probably drained you-I just can’t get enough of you.” He leaned and kissed my neck.
“I’ll make it up to you-promise.” I winked at him.
“Oh I know you will.” He nibbled my ear.
“Hey-we’re in a public area.” I pushed him away.
“So?” He nibbled my bottom lip.
The waiter cleared his throat and started to lay the food on the table. Kyle pretended not to see him and continued to assault my lips.
After breakfast , as we were walking back to the villa, a sharp pain pierced my side. I tried to ignore it but it got worse. I leaned over and placed my hands on my knees.
“Kyle-I-” I gasped as another spasm of pain shot through my body. I fell to the ground unable to stand any longer.
“Babe! You’re okay? ” Kyle scooped me into his arms and ran down the street. He stopped someone and asked them for directions to the nearest medical facility. Fortunately there was one just around the block.
“We’re going to the hospital. Just breath okay? You’re going to be okay babe.”
