The Billionaire’s Song - Chapter 56 Not planned
KYLE’S POV
We were sitting in the VIP section of Cocoon Cape Town which was on the31st floor of a building. It was a chic nightclub and all about glamour. We were here sipping on delicious cocktails while enjoying breathtaking views of the city. Besides the spectacular lookout, Cocoon Cape Town’s interior was a melting pot of enchantment featuring chandeliers, glass casings, lavish lounge seating and state-of-the-art contemporary finishes throughout. There was a wide selection of music genres like hip-hop, house and electronic dance music in a sophisticated setting.
“Let’s go dance!” Rita pulled Maya off my lap and she in turn pulled me along with them.
“Did I tell you how sexy you look tonight?” I whispered into my wife’s ear.
“Yes..but you can tell me again..” She smiled as she put her hands around my neck.
“How about I show you?” I ran my hands down her hips.
“Show me what you got.” She turned her back and started to gyrate around me as Love in This Club by Usher started to play.
Our bodies fused into one as we started to dance, our eyes not leaving each other. We attracted an audience and the dance floor was cleared as everyone focused on us. My wife could move (in and out of the bedroom)- thanks to her dance classes and so could I.I smiled at her as she hopped onto me and wrapped her legs around my waist.. She was perfect for me.
After the song we took a bow as everyone clapped and some wolf-whistled.
“Ladies and Gents. Pimps, players and hustlers. It is my utmost pleasure to tell you that tonight we have here with us, the legendary, multi-talented and mulit-platinum and the best in the game right now-please help give some love for Kyle Kinley!” The DJ announced from the booth. “I see you,” he pointed at me and I saluted. “And I’d like to dedicate the next song to him and to all the Americans that came out tonight. One love.”
Childish Gambino This is America blarred through the speakers and James dragged us back to the dance floor. The spotlight was on us again, thanks to the DJ.The four of us did the whole dance routine drawing more cheers from the crowd.
Once the song was done people realized who I was so they rushed forward to take pics with me, as usual. Richard and Paul came and stood beside me and Maya went back to our table with James and Rita.
I managed to escape and made my way back to the VIP section.
“You guys had to put on a show?” James laughed as he filled our glasses again.
“That was not planned.” I laughed as I shook my head, adding more ice to my drink.
“The perks of being married to a superstar.” Rita chuckled as she raised her glass to a toast.
“I’ll definitely drink to that.” Our glasses clinked and we laughed.
“Hey guys. I think I’m ready to move on to the next club.” Maya said.
“Sure. Let’s do this!” James drained his glass and slammed it the table.
“Where to next?” Rita asked.
“Anywhere the wind blows.” I winked and held Maya’s hand as we walked out.
We settled back in the limo and my wife pulled out her phone to check on the twins.
“They’re fine. Please just enjoy yourself tonight okay?” I grabbed her phone and put it in my back pocket.
“I just want to make sure.” She pouted.
“Babe-trust me they’re fine. I’ve already checked.” I kissed her. “Besides it’s like 1am now-I’m sure everyone is sleep by now.”
“Fine.” She sighed.
“Richard please take us to Shimmy Beach club.” I called out.
“Got it.” Richard replied.
“Aren’t we a bit overdressed for a beach club?” Rita looked down at her shimmery cocktail dress.
“Who cares?” James laughed as he put his hand on her thigh and kissed her.
“We can just remove our shoes..I’ve been dying to do that all night.” Maya groaned.
“You will get your wish soon.” Kyle smiled.
“We’re here.” Richard said as the car stopped and Paul held the door open for us.
“Remove your shoes everyone and leave them in the car.” I said. “Tonight we’re going to dance until the sun comes up!”
“Woo-hooo.” James yelled as he ran ahead with Rita.
Shimmy Beach Club is one of the most well-known entertainment spots in Cape Town. On summer nights, it’s hard to rival the atmosphere of a Shimmy Beach Club party as DJs spin their beats while revelers dance in the sand, hence we left our shoes in the limo. The club had two bars, an infinity pool, and private seating areas for VVIPs and I had booked the whole section for us. I wanted to make sure we all had a blast and end of the night in style.
We ordered some food and more drinks as the nigh went on. The place had a chilled vibe and it seemed like the whole town came out to play tonight. It was swarming with all kinds of people.
The sun was coming up slowly on the horizon and Maya and I decided to go and sit on the cliff and watch the sunrise, when some random guy grabbed her backside.I was holding her other hand and because of the crowd we got separated.
“Did you just grab my wife’s backside??.” I stepped in and pushed Maya behind me.
“Yes I did American boy.” The guy mocked in a thick accent, pushing himself against Kyle, their eyeballs almost clashing.
“I don’t appreciate you disrespecting her like that .” I squared my shoulders, barely blinking.
“What you going to do about it pretty boy?” He scoffed.
“Kyle let it go.” Maya tugged my arm but I wouldn’t budge.
“You should listen to your lady..at least she has some sense. Although I don’t know what she’s doing with a loser like you.” He spat.
Paul, Richard and James materialized from nowhere and stood by our side, ready for action.
The guy’s crew surrounded us and bottles started flying everywhere. One landed on myhead and bounced off onto the ground, shattering to pieces.I was sitting on the perpetrator, practically pounding his face into the sand.
Rita and Maya were pushed away to the back and I couldn’t get to them. It seemed like we were outnumbered but we held our own though. I fought my way back to Maya as club security came and broke up the fight. My head was bleeding, Richard had a deep gash on his face and Paul’s arm was bleeding as well. James’s was lying on the ground, clutching his stomach andwas bleeding profusely.
“Kyle! We need to get you guys to the hospital. Can you stand?” She grabbed my arm, strung it over her shoulder and led us out. When we got inside the car she removed my t-shirt and held it against my head to stop the bleeding.
“Jamie are you okay??” Rita screamed as she tried to drag him to the car.
“Paul please help Rita get Jamieback to the car-are you able to?” Maya asked. He nodded and hoisted James up with his good arm.
“Richard and Paul you jump at the back with me-I can’t let you drive while you’re injured. Rita please grab a hold of yourself anddrive us to the hospital. Can you do that??” My wife took charge of the situation and tried to to keep everyone calm.
She nodded.
“I’m sorry to ask this Paul-but since you’re the only one that seem to be in you right state of mind-do you mind removing holding this over Jamie’s wound?” She removed her light cotton jacket and gave it to him.
“Sure Maya. I think I can manage.” He winced.
I was close to passing out and the bleeding wouldn’t stop. Myt-shirt was soaked inblood and Maya couldn’t stop it.Her beautiful white dress was also getting soaked but she didn’t care much about it. I was losing too much blood and I was freaking out.
We arrived at the hospital and Maya asked a nurse to bring outstretchers for the casualties. Richard and James were barely conscious as they were wheeled into the emergency room. Paul was the only one that seemed to be okay.
“Hie Maya. What brings you here this time.” Dr Williams smirked as he leaned his elbow on the hospital Reception desk.
If I wasn’t incapacitated I would have dived off this stretcher and strangled him.
