The Birth of a Villainess - Chapter 271
Blood splattered as First Lady Bai’s head was crushed to pulp. The people underneath and behind the floating headless body stood still as they kept held their breathes before all hell broke loose.
“No!!”
“Ahh!!!”
“Somebody help us!”
Everyone screamed as if they were about to be the next victim and their theory was quite not far off from their reality.
Qu Xing Xu has grown tired playing and it could be seen on his face as the playful light in it vanished.
Standing up from his makeshift throne in the far center of the hall, Qu Xing Xu dusted his robe as if nothing mattered to him and no brutality has happened before him.
“For so many years, your Bai family has kept on acting out in cruelty and brutality. So, why do you all scream in fear and disgust? What will those poor souls that died from your very own hands?” Qu Xing Xu curved up his lips into a sneer.
The Bai family was full of hypocrisy. They act as of they were the innocent and victims when they’re in a dangerous situation where their lives were on the line. However, they have never thought of the thousands of lives they took and played with.
According to what he had witnessed and heard from the reports that Guy Yan sent to him, most of the children of the Bai family was trained early in their years on how to inflict pain on their opponent. It didn’t matter what method or if it was made through underhanded ways for as long as they could make their opponents surrender willingly and voluntarily.
And hence, no one in the Bai family was innocent.
Even the servants and guards who was unfortunate to be serving these evil people should have the least sin, but instead, they also enjoyed helping their masters and mistressed in torturing people for the fun of it.
“Now, don’t look at me like you just received something unjustly.” Qu Xing Xu continued to say.
Walking up to the brazier that was situated next to the platform, Qu Xing Xu slowly touched the fire, letting it lick his skin and know it’s master. Once the fire was starting to recognize him, the fire suddenly grew larger and hotter that everyone in the room could feel the temperature rising as time passes.
“Wha… what are you planning to do?” One of the Bai family asked in fear. His voice shook and his knees trembled.
“Giving you what you all truly deserve.” Qu Xing Xu said in a matter of factly and pushed the brazier to the ground.
Embers and flame flew to the ground. However, instead of it just burning the ground where it fell, as if the flames in the brazier was alive, it suddenly started to spread and crawl towards their intended targets.
Screams of fear and agony and disbelief sounded after. Like the cries of a wolf, the Bai family howled in pain as the flame reached their ankles and climbing up to eat away the skin on their bodies and burning them alive.
With a nonchalant and uninterested look on his face, Qu Xing Xu walked on top of the burning ground where cracks were starting to show as if it was the replica of the ground in hell.
Tap.
Tap.
Slowly, Qu Xing Xu walked away and the door opened for him.
Soon after he left, the whole Bai mansion started to creak loudly in a whisper like those of the ghost’s screams. It was probably the voices of their tormented victims or the voices of the Bai family. Qu Xing Xu didn’t try to investigate as he quickly returned to the Qu residence.
…
While Qu Xing Xu was on his way back home to see his beloved wife, the person he was supposed to miss was actually inside Hong Pei Lou glaring at the two people kneeling on the floor.
“Why did you do that? Do you even know the dangers you’re going to face by doing that?” When Lin Xiaofei arrived to the room where Kael and Chu Chu was, she didn’t waste time to check on their condition and reprimand them.
“I understand that you did that to help me, but endangering yourselves while doing so will not only make things hard for me. It will break me.” Lin Xiaofei didn’t try to cover up her emotions not hide what she was thinking about their suicidal attempt to help her.
With her hands closed in a fist, Lin Xiaofei continued, “I am grateful for what you did… But promise me that you won’t ever do this again.”
Kael and Chu Chu nodded their heads in agreement but inside their hearts, they both knew that if Lin Xiaofei were to face any dangerous situation, they won’t hesitate to help her even if it means that they had to sacrifice their own lives for her to be saved.
Lin Xiaofei was the only person who saved them from the tragedy and their accursed fate when no one even tried to look in their direction, much less try to express any fake sympathy. And even if Lin Xiaofei saved them only because they had some uses to her, they will not condemn her for that.
“We will try to be careful now.” Kael bit his small lips and raised his head to look at Lin Xiaofei. With determination, he said, “Next time, I will try to handle and kill all of your enemies while not causing any troubles.”
Lin Xiaofei: “…”
‘I did not say all this just so you could take it in a different way!’ She thought to herself and rubbed her temples before a headache could even get to her.
Smiling widely like a mischievous kid out to bully someone, Kael stood up from his kneeling position. He put his hand in his pocket and took out something. A crystalized flower was in his hand.
“I got this from the pockets of the bandit leader. I think it looks pretty good.” He reached for her hand and put the flower on top of her palm. “You can make it into a hairpin. I’m sure it will look good on you.”
The adolescent flashed a charming smile and Lin Xiaofei couldn’t stop herself from frowning. In a span of a second, she saw Kael’s future as an ultimate playboy crossing her mind.
And in response to what Kael said, Lin Xiaofei patted his shoulder, “I think it’s better to let you train some more and read more educational books.”
