The Black Tiger - Chapter 9 William Stone
Gabriel had walked for about thirteen minutes when a sign where there stood Colombo street came into sight. The street consisted of different kinds of clothing shops and restaurants. The roads were empty, and the stones glimmered because of the rain which had poured down recently. Gabriel’s long sun kissed hair was entirely soaked and had started to curl slightly. Gabriel stopped and let out a sigh. He hated his life. His only dream was to graduate from a prestigious school within the course of biology.
for visiting.
He looked at the hotel he had researched at the train station. The hotel was in an ally, this explained most likely why it was cheap. The ally was filled with trash and rodents which surrounded the rusty metal door with a sign saying, “A happy place”.
-Yeah, it sure is a happy place- Gabriel thought as he chuckled.
Before he decided to enter, he changed back to his original appearance. His black short slightly wavy hair came back into sight while his body lengthened and changed back. His hazel eyes changed to ocean blue which shimmered in happiness. He looked around and there was still not a soul present plus no cameras.
The door was heavy and made screeching noises which made the old lady behind the nearby lobby turn towards him with a tiered look. “Welcome. You must be William Stone. Your room is number 5 down the corridor at my left.”
-Yes, I had almost forgotten that I had used a fake ID to prevent being detected by my family-
Gabriel received the room key from the grey-haired woman, then proceeded to walk towards his room. The floor was covered with a slightly lightened red carpet, and the planks screeched for each step.
Once Gabriel stepped inside the room, he jumped onto the neatly prepared bed. A deep grunt made the silence disappear.
-So, from today on I will be known as William Stone. I will try to apply to this town’s college within the branch of science. It is at least worth a try, but first I must manage to make some documents about my identity and background. Well, I’m to tired to think about it further at this exact moment.
Within seconds Gabriel felt his mind drift away until he was asleep.
The next day he put on a grey t-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants. Ready to exit the room he started to think about that he should change a bit of his appearance which he used metamorphosis to do. His hair went from raven black to silver white, while the scar below his mouth disappeared and one of his eyes went icy blue while the other stayed ocean blue.
-William Stone That’s me-
One month later
“You seem to be exited today ‘William Stone’” Tigris chuckled. Gabriel ignored the taunting voice while he slid on a pair of jeans and a white shirt. He had used a bit of his savings to buy these clothes for his first day of college.
After Gabriel had started residing at the run-down hotel, he had managed to gain a new identity and applied for the well-known college of royals. Something which lightened his mood even more was the fact he had heard his brother had been degraded after an ‘unknown’ guy had humiliated him.
He stood humming happily when he stared at the abounded building, he currently lived in. The building was cold and empty, the only things located there was a madras and a bag with clothes which he had hidden quite well.
A faint smile graced Gabriel’s face while his white hair glimmered in the faint lightning.
-It’s time for school. A new day and a new me-
