The Blood Prince - 11 CHAPTER 10
*In the Royal Den*
As Ariel’s convoy left the Castle, Robin was preparing to go after him. “You’re breaking your promise, you know that right.” He looked behind him and saw Kretos standing there.
He answered “A promise is nothing in face of his safety”, He continued with a worried look on his face “WHat if he met a-a-a Dragon, Yes a Dragon. He will not be able to escape from it, and if it’s powerful enough then he would be dead before I arrive.”.
Kretos looked at him and smiled, he patted his shoulder and said “Don’t worry boy, His life won’t be in any sort of danger. I’ve put my spirit mark on him. If someone tries to harm him I’ll be there instantly, So don’t worry and let him have some fun”. Robin sighed in relief and said, “Well, If that’s the case then, I’ll not go after him.”.
He then bowed and said “I still have some important matters to deal with, so I’ll be on my way., have a good day your majesty.” and then left. Kretos who was watching him walk away thought ‘Well I guess he still won’t listen huh. Well, I’ll help Ariel out’.
*At the Edge of The Forest*
After a day’s journey, Ariel along with his caravan reached the edge of the forest. As soon as they reached there Ariel hopped out of the carriage and was greeted by the knights unanimously “Greetings Your Majesty”, Ariel looked towards the Leader Silias and ordered him “From now on you guys will camp here until I return. Silias I am warning you, Don’t try to follow me.”, Silias bowed his head and nodded.
After that Ariel went inside the forest without looking back. Sometime after he left a Knight sighed and said “Wahhh captain. He’s too arrogant” another knight added, “and too Talented”. Someone asked, “What do you mean by that Brian”.
Brian replied “I don’t know much about him but as far as I’ve heard, He’s at least above 5th layer of Star Mortal Realm. So as far as I know, We’re going to have at least a God-level cultivator as our king in the coming years. Heck, He might even be capable of breaking through the Supreme realm”. When the other knights heard him they also became excited, Who wouldn’t want a supreme level cultivator as their leader.
Silias got down from his horse and said “ALL RIGHT, now stop talking and look for any demon beast’s nearby, You don’t really want them biting on your ass at night when you’re asleep. Come on, Spread out”.
*Inside the forest*
Ariel was searching for a beast who could give him a challenge, He wanted to break through to the next level. In order to be on the safe side and avoid beasts that were more powerful than him, he was hiding his aura using a special technique.
After roaming here and there for a long time he could not find a beast suitable for fighting. Most of them were either too strong or too weak to fight. Night dawned upon the forest, Ariel was warned by his uncle Not to stay outside in nighttime as it would be a certain death wish.
He found a cave suitable for him to rest, and after He set up the defensive barrier He started cultivating instead of sleeping.
The next morning He left cave pretty early in the search for an opponent. He kept searching till noon but couldn’t find any beast that would give him a challenge. Just as he was about to give up, He saw a huge Ape near the lake, as soon as he saw him his eyes started shining. He rushed towards the best without thinking, with the purple sword in his hand.
The Ape also sensed something coming towards it, he looked in the direction from which it was coming and saw a human child running towards it with a sword in his hands. The Ape was angry that someone attacked it while it was resting, Its eyes turned red in anger and it roared furiously with its brutal killing intent locked on Ariel.
Ariel was no doubt a genius cultivator, Even amongst the best of the best, He was among the top one percent. He had killed people on earth, But the problem here was, that he never experienced a malicious killing intent directed at him. That’s why as soon as the Ape roared his legs turned to jelly and he fell down straight to the ground.
He was shocked to his core but before he could think of anything he saw a large fist coming towards his head, he knew that if he did not dodge the fist he would end up dying. So he kicked the ground which caused his body to propel p in the air and avoid the attack.
After getting his emotions under control Ariel still felt his hands shaking ‘Am I scared’ he thought, He took a deep breath and controlled his emotions ‘I underestimated this world too much. I should’ve known that it was never going to be easy. If I cant even defeat this Ape then forget about going against universe laws and revenge.’ After seemingly motivating himself.
Ariel rushed towards the Ape again but this time he had a plan in his mind. The Ape was angry that the human tried to attack him again so he also charged at him.
Ariel’s sword was moving towards the Ape’s throat with incredible speed, but before it could reach it. The Ape attacked Ariel’s chest.
*BAM* both the attacks landed at the same time, Ariel went flying in the distance but he soon got up. You could see some blood leaking from his lips but he was smiling his attack connected although not at the place where he wanted it to it still injured the beast. His sword was not in his hands, due to the simultaneous attacks it fell down somewhere. Ariel was not bothered with this as with the last strike he’s gotten his confidence back.
Even though he was also hit and was hurt in the process, He did not mind it. He thought ‘Now its a battle of endurance’ and rushed to the Ape who was also considerably hurt.
Both of them fought continuously for an hour, landing heavy blows on each other. But Ariel clearly had the upper hand and after an hour it became apparent as the Ape fell down on the ground too injured and exhausted to continue.
Ariel was also hurt, but it was not life-threatening. After he saw the ape fall down he sighed in relief. He then took a healing pill and his injuries instantly recovered.
After that, he started walking towards the ape slowly and on the way, he picked up his sword from the ground. After reaching the Ape he slowly said “Thank you for the important lesson” in an extremely chilly voice and after that, he severed its head.
*One month later*
After the battle with Ape, Ariel stayed there for a month, Battling with beast’s and cultivating. He broke through to the Immortal level. After breaking through he left the forest and went back to the Royal capital.
Immediately after his return, he was instructed to prepare for traveling again. He forgot that he had to go to the Elf kingdom to escort the Elf king. He once again became busy.
*On the Gates of the Demon’s Den *
His uncle also came to him before he was leaving, He said to him “Be careful, The old man’s trying to set you up” and left, Ariel was confused he thought ‘Be careful of what, Well whatever ill figure it out later’.
And then he began his Journey to The Elf village….
