The Blue Eyes - Chapter 256
A few days had passed, but Kris’s condition in the mysterious place was still the same. He was still sitting on the chair with his hands tied up behind his back, and he couldn’t do anything in the past few days.
During his ‘stay’ in the place, no one came to the place other than Steve, and Steve was also the one who gave him food and water three times a day.
Kris was willing to eat and drink because he still wanted to stay alive. Kevin was waiting for him, so he had to come back to his fiance no matter what.
He looked like someone who couldn’t do anything and just waited for his death, but that was not true. During his ‘stay’ in the place, Kris continued to observe the place.
He could tell that the place was indeed a laboratory. To be precise, it was a laboratory where the mysterious people attempted to create a new version of the werewolf. He wanted to find out the person behind it all, but no one coming to the laboratory in the past few days.
However, Kris managed to find some interesting things in the laboratory. He found some weapons that looked quite familiar in his eyes, and he was sure that they were the weapons from Primea.
He questioned Steve about that, but the young man didn’t want to give him any answer. In the end, he just made a note in his head that the criminal was indeed the one who smuggled weapons from Primea. That person probably was also the one who was responsible for the explosion in the sea between Primea and Calenta.
“When will you and your ally attack mankind?” Kris asked Steve, who was ready with a glass of water in his hand.
Steve was helping him to eat and drink, and the man treated him quite nicely when he was being captived in the laboratory. He assumed that the criminal had a secret plan related to him as well, and that was why they intended to keep him alive.
“Mr. Dunn will come to this place today, so you might want to ask him directly. I can’t guarantee if he will be willing to answer your question, though.”
Kris clenched his fists upon hearing Steve’s arrogant statement. One of the people responsible for the crime all these times would come to the place today, and Kris was beyond enraged. Steve was indeed the one who killed his seven brothers, but there was another person behind the crime.
Kris was still busy with his thought, but suddenly he could hear the sound of the door being opened from the outside. Both he and Steve turned their head toward the door that was quite far from them, and the next thing they heard was the sound of footsteps.
From the sounds only, Kris was certain that it was not only one person who just arrived at the laboratory.
And he was right when he caught a glimpse of two figures arriving in front of him. His breath hitched upon seeing one of the figures.
“You’ve come, Mr. Dunn? But I thought you would only come later in the afternoon,” Steve immediately greeted the older man, who looked unfamiliar in Kris’s eyes.
Jaden Dunn. The man looked ordinary. His hair was dominated with grey color, his posture was proportional and sturdy despite his age that was no longer young, and his eyes pierced sharply into Kris’s soul.
Kris was sure that it was their first meet, but why did the man look so fierce toward him?
Steve didn’t get any response to his question, and he chose to shift his gaze to the man who just come with Jaden Dunn earlier. His brows furrowed as he didn’t recognize the man.
On the other hand, Kris’s gaze was fixed on the man who was standing next to Jaden. Opposite to Steve who didn’t recognize the man, Kris recognized the man quite well. “Felix Smith,” his lips muttered the two words that now felt bitter in his tongue.
The man was indeed Felix Smith, Kevin’s former senior in Orka before the man chose to become a teacher in Blue’s school a few years ago.
Now it was confirmed that Felix Smith was indeed one of the criminals.
“Hello, Kris. It’s nice to meet you again,” Felix Smith suddenly greeted him, ignoring the confused look on Steve’s face.
Kris gritted his teeth angrily. The man even got the nerves to greet him like that?
“He’s the one who created all those werewolves, Steve. You’re new here, but Felix has been with us since three years ago. He’s your senior here, so you have to pay respect to him, Steve,” Jaden Dunn finally answered Steve’s question, but Kris looked surprised when he heard the answer.
Felix Smith had been on the evil side since three years ago? That was when he quit Orka and started teaching in Blue’s school, right?
“So, it’s all your plan all along? You quitted from Orka and became a teacher not only because of your passion but because you have been targetting Blue all along?” Kris decided to chime in as he kept throwing a dagger at Felix Smith.
Felix remained calm as he answered Kris’s question, “I got an order to observe your niece closely, and that’s why I decided to leave my job in Orka. Moreover, the people in Orka were against my idea to create another kind of werewolves to fight the bad werewolves, so I don’t need to stay with them, right?”
Kris’s jaw tightened. It turned out that their suspicion was right. Felix Smith indeed had a bad intention for them.
However, Kris noticed that something sounded strange from the man’s explanation.
Kris was more suspicious of the man as he asked, “So, you have known that Blue was the baby in the werewolf prophecy since three years ago even before my father found out about it? You were not working under Professor Joseph and my father, right?”
