The Bullied Husband’s Club - Chapter 190
Stacey was overly excited as they reached their room in the Imperial Castle. Currently, she’s working on the movie. Although it was finished a long time ago, she still wanted to watch it and review it. It will be shown tomorrow in the middle of the night. The door slowly opened and she turned her head to Kaisley who peeked at her.
“Hey,” Kaisley smiled as Stacey stood and curtsied to her. “No need for formality when it’s only us.” She closed the door and approached her. “By the way, I am excited about tomorrow’s movie.”
“Me too.” She giggled and Kaisley sat down. She suddenly reached her hand and squeezed it gently.
“Stacey, I have to tell you something.” She mumbled. “In this celebration, there will be a big threat to us. Our Intel just claimed that they are targeting you.” She squeezed her hand gently. “So even in the castle, there will be someone who might poison your food. So, don’t eat anything for now. I will pick up the food on my own for you.”
“Kaisley, but you are a princess.”
“I am not just a Princess, Stacey. I am your sister too. We are family. From now on, you will only receive snacks from me and Victoria.”
“That’s nice.”
“Also, your husband was cooking your food personally. It was also approved by the king so don’t worry about it.”
“I feel so special today.” Stacey giggled and hugged Kaisley.
“Because you are special. You need to leave that. Let’s go and roam around the castle. There’s so much to see here. Also, I think you should change your shoes into flat ones.”
Stacey stood and quickly searched for those shoes. She walked around the castle with Duchess Victoria who brought a basket with Harriet. Currently, the Marchioness was helping in the kitchen with Duke Maverick for their meal. Later will be the opening of the game. The game will start at one in the afternoon. That’s why Stacey was quite busy with the opening. But it will be shown tomorrow night.
They reached the garden and there’s a gazebo that the maids set up for them. Stacey helped with organizing the table as the ladies sat down.
“So, you didn’t bring your boyfriend?” Victoria asked Harriet as Kaisley and Stacey turned their heads to her.
“Victoria!” Harriet weaned and pouted at her.
“What? We all knew that you have the same phone as him. He even gave you phone accessories that you love. I am so sure that he’s the one because he knew everything about you.” Victoria said.
“Don’t leave me out of this,” Kaisley exclaimed. “Who is the guy?” She demanded.
“I haven’t seen him either,” Stacey said. “But later, the boys will show up.”
Harriet giggled and she sat down.
“Is he handsome? I mean, Harriet was probably the most beautiful among the nobles. I heard that nobles wrote letters to her every occasion to be her escort. I heard that there were suitors from other countries.”
“Suitors from other countries. Is that even correct?” Stacey tilted her head.
“They are only exaggerating,” Harriet said. “It’s because they want my family’s power. The Astera family was known to support the Etrama Empire for centuries. Also, my mother has a successful business and so was my father.”
“Oh,” Stacey shrugged. “Power and fame plus beauty. Yeah, that’s not an exaggeration Harriet. I am just happy for you that your family isn’t selling you off.”
Harriet snorted and waved it off.
“Don’t be like that. My brother didn’t even let me date anyone and when he’s with me, boys who will approach me will quickly scurry off.” Harriet said, sounding a little arrogant.
“It’s not a surprise at all,” Kaisley said as she sat down as Stacey and Victoria followed. “But this man of yours, who is he?”
“He’s five years older than the man and two months older than my brother. He’s a big brother to us. He’s our childhood friend and the only son of my dad’s best friend.”
Stacey took the sandwich and started eating it.
“So, what does he look like?” Stacey asked while munching on the sandwiches. She already thought that it’s the best sandwich that she ever tasted.
Harriet sighed and leaned her cheeks over her hand.
“He has blond hair, green eyes… he’s tall and has that beautiful build. He’s so handsome.” She said, “He’s kind and considerate. But I don’t know if he likes me.”
“If he doesn’t like you, he wouldn’t bother caring for you. You are rich and he wouldn’t trouble himself by buying you a phone with accessories you wanted after you broke your phone.”
“I am still not sure.” She sighed.
“Forget about it. Eat first.” Victoria told her and the three ate happily when they noticed Hardin’s voice who seemed to be speaking to someone.
Everyone turned their heads to Hardin who seemed to be scolding a man.
“Fine, if you won’t tell me, I’ll probably have someone hack your phone.”
Eventually, Hardin and the man that he spoke entered the bushes and they didn’t notice that they were there.
“What are they doing in the bushes?” Victoria asked. “Did they have an affair and left you out?” She turned to Harriet who frowned at her.
“Hey, that can’t be true!” Harriet pouted and reached her fruit tea bottle. “But yes, sometimes I thought that they had an affair because they are so close and Hardin was clingy toward him.”
Kaisley started laughing.
“I already imagine how Hardin acts cute around your man.”
The ladies went back to the castle for their lunch and then soon, they separated to get ready for the opening.
Stacey wore a long dress that didn’t have any corset. It was comfortable and wouldn’t show any of her bumps. She partnered it with a hat and a pretty purse. She smiled at her husband who was wearing a suit that is partnered with her dress.
“The lunch was great. You shouldn’t do that since you still have to participate later for the opening.”
“I am worried about you and our baby. Also, you shouldn’t worry about me. I am a strong man and I will win this game for you, love.” He kissed her lips. “You look utterly stunning. Let’s go and flaunt your beauty on the field.”
She giggled and hugged his arm.
In the field, they rode a carriage that was reserved for royals. Somehow, she became a royal overnight after marrying Maverick. She waved at Victoria who was riding with her husband in a blue carriage that resembled the royalty of Etrama since Kenzo was after all the Crown Princess.
They are now Grand Duke and Grand Duchess or known as Crown Prince and Crown Princess. Instead of being called ‘your grace’, they are now called ‘your highness’ but still, they acknowledge the word ‘your grace.’ She’s very proud of Victoria for making a very impulsive decision on marrying Kenzo. Who knows that she married a jackpot.
“I think Victoria will be a great Queen.”
“I am sure of it too. She doesn’t seem like someone to be swayed. She might look innocent but she’s smart, fair, and compassionate. That’s an ideal queen.” Maverick said.
“And you don’t plan to be the Crown Prince?”
He snorted.
“No. That’s a very chaotic position, babe. Besides, living as a Duke is already a hassle. I don’t wish for more.”
“Okay,”
Stacey knew well that his main goal was to strengthen the army of his castle and area. It’s one way to protect the Empire and support Kenzo anytime.
They reached their seats beside the King’s throne and Prince Philip’s throne. As the ladies or known as Princesses, they sat there with guards surrounding them. And they are on the balcony to see the real show from the top. It started with singing the hymn of the Country and next was the prayer and then the King’s speech. Sooner, the nobles who participated in the game must change their clothes. Maverick kissed her forehead and winked at her.
“I’ll win this for you, my Duchess,” Maverick said.
“I will surely win this, my Crown Princess,” Kenzo said a little aloud and Maverick glared at Kenzo. There’s a little tension between the two but it’s just a game for them.
Prince Caleb laughed and waved at the two.
“Brothers! May the best man win. But surely, you have to let go of your wives to get this game started. Look at Hardin and the Captain of Red Bull. They are just as cool as ever.”
“We are just joking.” Maverick and Kenzo said at the same time and the two hold each other’s hands and left.
“Sometimes, I almost think that they might be twins,” Victoria said as she gracefully crossed her legs and fanned herself. “Or perhaps a secret lover.” She giggled as Kaisley laughed while covering her mouth with a fan.
“Aren’t we done talking about bromance?” Kaisley giggled.
“What’s with bromance?” Caleb asked.
“I’ll tell you later, babe.” She patted his hand as a group of traditional dancers started the dance on the stage.
The Marchioness came and Harriet gave the drinks that they made especially with bottles.
“Thank you, Marchioness Vivien.” The King said and enjoyed the drink that they made.
Stacey hesitated for a while but then, Harriet carefully took it and poured it on a small-cap, and drank it.
“I think it’ll be fine. Don’t worry..” Harriet said.
