The Bullied Husband’s Club - Chapter 220
Fiona glared at him coldly when there’s an interruption in the connection. But it wasn’t purely an interruption. It was actually the plan of Etrama to trap them.
“I thought that they wouldn’t know.” Fiona said coldly toward Xian.
“I apologize. But they have more advanced equipment than we have.”
“Who’s operating?” She asked and looked away.
“Maverick Edward.”
Fiona gritted her teeth. Hearing that name made her head boil. It was him, again! If it wasn’t because of him, she might have already ended their bloodline from Kenzo. But they were slowly growing and there’s the Duchess of Great Greivania that they also have to end.
“I apologize, my Queen.” Xian bowed his head.
“Go now. Fix this. It’s better if we are off the track for a while. They might be guessing that I am alive.” She waved him off.
“Yes, your majesty.”
Fiona was always called by him like that. She loved it. Even her current husband called her that way. She was pampered by him although she never showed up to any socialite parties. She prepared delicious foods for her husband and for her daughter and taught her daughter how to seduce a man. Seducing the Crown Prince of Spania was a failure but it’s not too late. They had planned these for years. She won’t fail and won’t accept any failure.
“Mother,” Lady Rina entered and curtsied. “I attended the socialite as you said. The Duchess didn’t show up.”
“What?” Fiona frowned at her. “Why?”
“Her handmaiden came and said that she caught a cold.”
Another failure. They were planning to poison the Duchess and blame it on the Royal maids. It was easy to frame the maids rather than any royals or nobles. But they have to wait until they get their hands to the Duchess. Killing the Duchess would give the Duke and the King a downfall. They heard that the Duke loves her so much that he never glanced at any woman.
The Duke was a perfect target for vulnerability and heartbreak. It will be easier for his mind to get twisted than a tyrant.
“It’s alright, my dear. There will be some other time. But you must be cautious.”
“Yes, mother.”

Victoria indeed got a cold last night. She’s currently resting in her room so she won’t get everyone caught with her flu. Her husband was currently working, outside the mansion that is why she can’t cuddle with him.
“Darling, how are you feeling?” Vivien asked as she served the tea perfect for her cold.
“I still feel lethargic.” She said softly.
“Maybe you are pregnant?”
“I just had my period last week.” She told me and reached the cup of tea. “Ginger and turmeric smell amazing together.” She whispered and blew it. Then, she sipped on it and sighed. “Thank you, mom.” Victoria smiled at her.
Vivien sat down and caressed her hair. Both of them never had this kind of love for years. Maybe it was there, but it was missing. Now that they are together, Vivien felt like the best mom in the world. Victoria never detest her and her daughter was showing so much love that she needed.
“You are the best mom in the world.” She whispered. Victoria had never said those words to anyone but Vivien. So, Vivien hugged her and kissed her temple.
“Get well soon, my little love.” She said softly. “I know that your hubby was also worried. But he has to leave to finish a few things.”
“I know. I will wait for him here.”
Victoria sipped on her tea again and sighed. Ginger, turmeric and honey indeed relieved her cold. SHe can’t want to kiss her hubby. He could only kiss her forehead and nose.
Victoria and Vivien stayed together until she fell asleep.
Vivien has to do her duties on serving the King. Currently, the King was also worried about the Duchess but since it’s only a normal cold there’s not much to worry. Sleeping and drinking the herbal teas that she prepared for her daughter would help her. She’s probably tired from all of the socialite parties that the princess invited her to and other nobles.
At nine in the evening, Kenzo came, looking more tired than ever. Vivien greeted them as she already prepared herbal teas for their good sleep. Kenzo smiled as he sat down and sipped on it quickly before he could see his wife.
“Thank you, mom.” He said and kissed her cheeks. Then, he went up directly to his room. He washed up by himself and finally climbed up to the bed and kissed his wife who was asleep.
It woke her up as she reached her face masked and covered her mouth and nose.
“Kenz, you are here.”
“Yeah,” he kissed her forehead. “You can remove that.”
“I’m sick. You can’t catch up with my cold.”
“It’s fine. So we could cuddle in bed all day and all night.” He grinned.
“Kenz,” She shook her head and put a pillow as a barrier between them. “Go and sleep.”
He rolled his eyes as he slid his naked body over the duvet. He closed his eyes and fell asleep quickly.
Victoria wanted to laugh but he looked so tired that he fell asleep quickly. She didn’t want to snuggle with him so he wouldn’t get caught with the cold.
“I love you.” She whispered.

Kaisley visited the Westeria Castle personally. It was a very surprising visit that everyone was running around just to greet the Princess. She nodded her head as she went around the castle and checked the study room which is locked and still needs access. The Duchess’s study room was also the same. The maids haven’t entered both rooms and haven’t cleaned it unless the Duke and Duchess are present.
At the same time, Caleb was in Marduque to do an inspection. The things that she needed were the billings and the finances. There’s a budget for the whole castle and it’s also time to give their salaries. Although there’s someone who would do that, it still needed her signatures.
They provided a seat for her in the library as she read the documents needed. She signed it after seeing that it was clear with the beautiful fountain pen that she had customized for herself.
“Alright, this is good to go.” Kaisley smiled at them. They were a little nervous around her since she’s the Princess. But then, she was kind to them. “My work here is done. But I’m going to stay until my husband comes. We might stay for a night.”
“Yes, your highness! The Duke already called us.”
“Great.”
“We will prepare your room then. Where would you like us to serve your snacks?”
“In Victoria’s sunroom.” She told them.
“Yes, your highness.”
Somehow, Kaisley’s favorite spot in this castle was Victoria’s sunroom. She will wait for her husband. She went to the sunroom, relaxed on the lounge chair and yawned. She sanitized her hand and picked the sandwich as she ate happily. She then reached her phone and called her husband who was currently on his way to the castle.
“Hurry up. I’m enjoying delicious foods.”
“Damn, I envy you.”
“They didn’t serve you anything?” She asked and reached the lemonade and sipped on it.
“They did. But I declined it since I was rushing to you.”
“Oh, that’s sweet. I’m going to leave a few foods for you.”
She looked at the desserts and sandwiches. It was a lot and she’s sure that she won’t finish all of it. Currently, her husband used a chopper to get it here fast. It might only take ten minutes. She then heard the chopper and she put her sunglasses on. Shortly, Caleb sat down and was about to reach the sandwich. She pointed to the sanitizer and then the fountain sink.
“Wash your hands first.”
“Fine.” He put the sanitizer first and rubbed it into his hands and washed it. “Babe, I think staying in Westeria will be okay. But let’s also stay in Marduque. They have an amazing greenhouse.”
“Sure, this will be a vacation.” She agreed to him. “This sunroom is great for sunset. It’s getting cold these days.”
“You can always cuddle with my hot body.” He said sexily. She looked at his body while he’s eating like he hasn’t eaten for a week.
“Babe, why are you so hungry?” She asked.
“I~~” Caleb stopped and looked down at his stomach. “Maybe I’m pregnant.”
She burst in laughter as she reached the cushion to hit him. He was laughing too and he covered his mouth to avoid the food from jumping out from it.
“Okay, eat more.” She said softly and poured the lemonade into his glass.
“Thanks, babe.” He reached the empanada and took a bite. “This is amazing. They surely make good food here.”
“Victoria always cooked for the Duke and so the chef was also competing with the Duchess.”
“Oh,” Caleb laughed. “But they also ate the Chef’s food?”
“Yes, during breakfast, sometimes. Then, dinner and lunch. It wasn’t most of the time. Victoria was doing all around things for her husband.”
“Ohh, unlike you.” He mumbled. She hit him with the cushion again.
“Babe, I’m a Princess and I don’t have to serve you.”
“But I miss your cooking, really.”
“Hmm, how about I’ll cook for you when we get back to our mansion?”
“Sure. Game!”
She stood and moved to his seat. He rubbed his chest and kissed his neck.
“How about later?” She whispered.
