The Bullied Husband’s Club - Chapter 223
Harriet marked her calendar and sighed as she waited for days to pass by so she could be with Kane. She then glanced at the door where her handmaiden gently entered.
“Milady,” She curtsied. “Why aren’t you dressed yet?” She asked. She watched as she entered her walk-in closet. “Milady, please take a bath. You still have to attend the tea party.”
“I am sick.” She said as she crossed her arms over the table and she leaned her cheeks to her arm while staring at her fancy calendar.
“Milady, you have to attend.” Her handmaiden came out with a retro dress that she and Victoria designed and had it tailored.
“I don’t want to go.” She mumbled.
“Milady, please don’t make me say it twice. Your mother said clearly that you have to attend whether you like it or not.”
“There’s no fun in attending Lady Sophia’s tea party when they got into a scandal of drugging my brother.”
The handmaiden sighed.
“If that’s what you want, milady. How about the stores that you have to check?”
“I’m too lazy today. I still have to wait for two more days.” She pouted.
The handmaiden put the dress over the bed as she fixed her bed and dust it off. The noisy vacuum started as the handmaiden vacuumed the bed, pillows, and sheets.
“Alright,” She stood lazily and dragged her body to the bathroom where her maids had already set up her bath thirty minutes ago. She pouted. She sighed in the bathtub. “I’m gonna do it and make sure that she won’t speak about my man.” She said with full confidence.
She dressed well and had light make-up when she reached the tea party a little late. She curtsied to Princess Kaisley who showed up at the party. Kaisley smiled and bowed her head. She sat beside her and looked at Lady Sophia who was hosting the party.
“Why are you late?” Kaisley asked.
“I was counting the calendars.” She said as she sighed.
“Calendars?” Kaisley chuckled.
“Calendars.” She answered.
“They have numbers so why count them?” She sighed again as she looked out of nowhere. “I was counting the days on when my man will come back home.
“Oh,” Kaisley stared at him weirdly and grinned. “You poor little girl. Why won’t you fancy another man than focusing on someone busy?”
“Nope. No one caught my attention.”
“Okay,” Kaisley chuckled as she continued teasing her. “What if he had someone else there? It’ll be such a waste if you didn’t mingle with any men.”
Harriet froze for a moment. Then, she looked at Kaisley who became serious.
“You aren’t teasing me, are you?”
“Nope. Men will be men.” She shrugged.
“So, Cal was like that?”
“Hmm,” Kaisley shrugged again. “I don’t know, maybe.”
Harriet’s anxiety increased as she seemed to be pouting. But then, the party goes on when Lady Sophia talks about the man in her life. The girls were guessing that it might be Kane. Then, one blurted his name. They were giggling as they admired Kane. They were also talking about Hardin that made Harriet frown and she reached the bread knife. Kaisley sighed and patted her head.
“Little one, I was just kidding,” Kaisley told her. Harriet turned her head to the Princess and pouted.
“So, Lady Harriet, Lord Hardin was currently taking care of the Marquess’s job?” One of the ladies asked.
Harriet shrugged.
“Yeah,” She said casually as she slouches. She doesn’t care if other ladies would frown. She’s tired of being a lady. She’s tired of them talking about how handsome Kane was or her brother. Kaisley only smiled at Harriet. “So, please. If you talk about lewd things about how good my brother in bed was or Kane, don’t let me caught you.”
“Lady Harriet, are you alright?” Lady Sophia Andres asked. She only stared at the Lady’s eyes as she sat straight.
“Yes, of course, I’m alright.” She shrugged. She looked at her handmaiden who signed her to stop acting like that.
“Lady Sophia, will you please excuse me? My husband has arrived to pick me up. We currently have plans.”
“Y-Yes of course, your highness.”
Kaisley stood and picked her purse.
“Harriet, let’s go.”
Harriet looked at her puzzled and then she picked her purse and Harriet’s handmaiden came along. She followed Kaisley toward the entrance and exit of the garden when three handsome men were walking on their way and chatting and laughing. She froze when she met Kane’s eyes.
“Kane!” She exclaimed as she ran to him, dropped her purse, and jumped into him. Kane caught her expertly and held her back while her legs were around his waist. She kissed his lips as he kissed back. “You are here.” She said and scooped his face.
“I’m here to pick you up.” He grinned and kissed her cheeks.
“I missed you.” She whispered.
“Harriet, I missed you more.”
“Okay, that’s enough! I had seen enough.” Hardin complained.
“Let’s go, Kane. Somewhere when we can be alone.” She giggled and hugged his neck.
“What the hell?” Hardin exclaimed as Kaisley and Caleb were laughing. Kane started walking with Harriet wrapped around him. “Hey, just where do you think you are going?” Hardin followed them.
“Go away.” Harriet waved him off.
“You brat.” Hardin held his head feeling a little dizzy.
Back in the car, Kane put her in the backseat and sat beside her. He scooped her face and kissed her more. She rubbed his chest down to his abdomen while they were kissing like crazy. He held her hands and he gently pushed her.
“No.” He whispered. The door opened as Hardin frowned.
“Please, no kissing while I’m here,” Hardin said. But then, she hugged Kane happily. They left the Andrew Mansion.
“Why are you here early?” She asked him.
“We didn’t set up any schedule on when we will leave the Spania.” He caressed her hair and patted it.
“Oh,” She sighed and nodded. “How about Vi and Kenz?”
“They went directly to Westeria.” He answered. “By the way, Lord Hardin. Did you received the report that I sent to you?”
“What report?” Hardin asked and quickly checked his phone. “I didn’t receive anything.”
Kane took out his phone and also checked it. He showed it to Hardin who frowned.
“Why didn’t I receive it?” Hardin grumbled.
“I don’t know. I will check it when we get to the castle.”
“Castle?” Harriet looked up at Kane.
“Yeah, we still need to report.” Kane scooped her face and pressed his lips to her forehead.
Hardin grimaced and covered his mouth before he vomited. He felt sick while watching his best friend whom he thought was his brother and his real sister kissing and cuddling like that. He needed to accept that they love each other but he still couldn’t take it so he pretended that he fainted. Kane slapped his cheek lightly as he pushed his hand.
“Leave me alone! I might die if I see you two make-out in front of me.”
Kane and Harriet looked at each other and only shrugged. Eventually, Hardin fell asleep and Kane was busy kissing Harriet. They shared saliva and everything. Both of them were aroused but Kane ignored it as he only wanted to kiss her, hold her, and murmured sweet things with her.
“When can we get married?” She whispered.
“Let’s not talk about marriage. Let’s start dating first.”
She sighed and shrugged.
“I hate it when they are talking about you.” She rolled her eyes.
“About me?”
“Sophia Andres and other girls. I know that you had sex with her while you haven’t done it with me.”
“Okay,” He patted her head. “That’s because I love you and I respect you. I wouldn’t have sex with someone I love if I haven’t vowed for commitment.”
“Really?” She raised her brows. He nodded at her. She sat sideways facing him and scooped his chin. “How many did you fuck?”
“Babe,” He sighed.
“Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked that. But I want a house when we got married.”
“Uhm, don’t you want to live in your family’s house?”
“I want us to be alone.” She looked at Hardin who was snoring lightly. He didn’t have enough sleep since he was doing lots of things last night. “I don’t want my brother to stalk us every time.”
“Me too.” He whispered and held her like a precious little gem.
She took out her phone and typed something into it. He frowned after reading it. It’s lewd and it’s said. ‘I dream of good things last night. We made love and you were so sexy.’
He groaned and put down her phone and closed his eyes as he counted backward to compose himself. Then he gently pushed her and took the cushion and put it over his lap. Harriet was smiling while watching him mumble fast while calming down. She leaned on the bed and admired him like that. She even took a photo of him. She then posted it to her social media with hearts and kisses.
After he counted zero, she moved closer to him and hugged him.. She just loves him.
