The Bullied Husband’s Club - Chapter 239
“The construction of the shelter was ransacked. We are trying to retrieve every material after they went through the investigation. I think we need to set up a warehouse for the temporary stay of the rogues. It’s getting cold. Lots might die outside.”
Kenzo gritted his teeth in anger. The construction might take more time than they expected. This is why he needs to work double now to get those people some shelter before the winter. Winter might be happy weather for others but it’s not for people that don’t have homes. The rogue shelter was already full for the past few months and they did well to help them get a job, other documents, and to become a resident in this country until they were on their feet and could pay taxes.
“We can’t have anyone die,” Kenzo said and looked at Caleb.
“I put half of the people to reconstruct the damages from our area.. I also hired more and funded it.” Caleb said.
“The two of you focus on this problem. I will take care of tracking the assholes.” Maverick grumbled. “For now, we need a proper defense.”
They went back to their wives and discussed what happened. The wives after that gathered and already made a plan on how to gather more equipment and warm clothes that can be donated. So, they prepare a meeting for all of the socialites. It will be set up in the Duchess Victoria’s castle.
“We need to give them souvenirs,” Victoria said. “I think a good animated photo of each of them will do and a box of herbal tea?”
“I can draw them as they requested,” Stacey said excitedly.
Victoria nodded her head as she thought deeply about other ways to help these people and to increase funds for the construction.
“Let’s sign up for the comics,” Victoria exclaimed. “The finished one. I don’t want you to bother anymore. Let’s release that one. I will take care of everything. We can put half of it into the funds for the shelter construction. It might be a little but I think it’s better that way.”
“Paperback, hardcovers will sell well,” Kaisley said. “What’s the title?”
“Title is Paradox,” Victoria answered. “It already has ten chapters of comics online and hasn’t been released but we have more companies who wanted it to be published on their website and gave us a sum of money. I will also donate my income from my latest book.”
“Wow, just how many comics and books have you both published.”
“If we consider the comics to be published, it will be the first.”
“How many chapters?” Kaisley asked while scribbling.
“Like over 500 chapters,” Stacey answered. “You know, this is better. Let’s publish this and get the money back.”
“If the Etrama Gallery Publisher would get this, we will only pay for the materials and the advertisement.” Kaisley smiled at them. “We will have a lot of income from it and I know just an advertisement from it. Stacey, if you can still draw…”
“Oh, please. I am pregnant, not disabled.” Stacey rolled her eyes.
“What I am saying is you get lazy easily.” Kaisley giggled.
“I can animate the most exciting scenes.” She said excitedly. “There’s no need to hire a few animators. I can do it with my hubby.”
“Amazing!” Victoria exclaimed. “I am all better now and I can talk to my editors about a few of them.”
“The book is already published,” Kaisley said and showed it to her. “You are one of the best sellers, Victoria.”
“Yes,” She smiled. “My hubby made it come true for me.” Stacey grinned at them.
“Alright, you won the most spoiled wife on earth!” Victoria wiggled her hands to Stacey who laughed.
“Pregnant wife could become more spoiled.” She carefully caressed her tummy.
Victoria scribbled something on her tablet as she took note of things that she will do next week. She’s excited to do this project and since there were few things that she needed to do like going to a few events with Princess Kaisley and Stacey. But since Maverick is limiting Stacey on a few things because she’s pregnant and the Royal Family protected her and her baby so much, they might cancel a few of the events.
“Alright, I already contacted the illustrators for the book cover, do you have any suggestions?” Kaisley asked Victoria.
“I want the book cover that Stacey originally did. Maybe do something a little over it. Make them amaze me.” Victoria shrugged. Shortly, the door opened and they all turned their heads to Harriet who came with a square bag that looked like a picnic basket but in a fancy way.
“Hello,” She curtsied gracefully.
“Harriet! Come and join us!” Stacey waved at her. She carefully places the basket over the coffee table.
“My mom made new flower teas.” She said and she took out the boxes and showed them to them. “She experiments on new ones and these are beautiful, fragrant, and very much tasty if you put honey on it.”
“Too bad that I can’t drink any of it,” Stacey said.
“You can keep it,” Harriet said as she sat down and gave the boxes to them. Then, she went to the electric thermos and put water over the clear glass teapot.
She served the flower teas for them and fruit juice for Stacey. After Harriet poured the water, the buds opened slowly and beautifully.
“Wow,” They gaped and at that time, Victoria was filming it. “This is amazing.”
“I know, right! It’s already a best seller.”
Victoria hummed and thought deeply.
“So, mom has been working nonstop to make more of it. Half of the income will go to construction since winter is coming.” Harriet said as she took her tablet to show them the footage of how it was made. “Dad recently bought a warehouse in a place that doesn’t have much business.”
“I ask that from him.” Victoria smiled. “I know that it came from your family’s pocket.”
“Don’t worry about it. Half of my dad’s salary goes to pampering us, he said that he’s going to put one-fourth on this project. He’s going to give these men a real job for this project.”
Victoria felt like her heart melted even though it was cold weather.
“It’s amazing.” She said, “I asked him to provide more workers, probably from the rogues who came here to find jobs. I don’t have a lot of money but he promised me that he will do it.” Victoria felt like she was loved by a real father although Hansen was just a step-father to her.
“Mom’s business is doing well and I am also working and saving my own money. Hardin was doing the same so dad didn’t have to spoil us so much.”
“Wow, you have a great dad,” Kaisley said as Stacey and Victoria agreed. They don’t have much good experience with their dads. If Kaisley was with her biological father, she might feel how to get pampered and loved and if Victoria wasn’t with an abusive family she might feel the same.
“My dad is also your dad.” Harriet giggled.
Victoria reached for the teacup and sipped on it.
“Hmm, smells good and tastes good.” She complimented. “How are you and Kane?”
Harriet flushed as she carefully tucked her hair at the back of her ear.
“We are dating. He took me to his special places and I also did the same.”
“You guys were alone?” Victoria grinned. “Nothing special happened?”
“We just make out. Nothing else since he’s too old-fashioned.” She laughed and covered her mouth.
Kaisley shifted on her seat as she reached the teacup.
“When Cal and I started dating~~we were exceptionally horny but we didn’t do it until we celebrated our 100th day of being together. It’s like an anniversary and so, the horny Cal and I do it all day and all night. I was so sore that I couldn’t walk. He was too worried and ready to take me to the emergency room anytime.”
The girls laughed and Victoria, who was a little puzzled, turned to Kaisley.
“You guys did that?” Victoria asked.
“I am not surprised.” Stacey laughed and snorted along with it. She covered her mouth as Harriet giggled.
“Yeah, we did,” Kaisley said proudly. “He gave me a five days break even though I insisted. But it was blissful after five days. I was only sore for a moment and then, he prepared a special bath for me. Isn’t he amazing?”
“Indeed.” Victoria agreed. She doesn’t remember that her husband and I did that since she was busy with work and it was their first time. She didn’t expect that her husband was also a virgin at that time. A handsome man with a beautiful body built was a virgin at twenty-four! How lucky she was.
“My husband was a virgin so we didn’t have it all night and day,” Victoria grumbled that made Stacey and Harriet turn their heads to her.
“Kenzo always pushed women away from him. I wonder why he didn’t push you off when you hooked up with him in that bar.”
“Probably because Caleb pushed him to me,” Victoria smirked. Although it wasn’t that clear in that club, she was a little drunk and she came with him to a very shabby place, she knew to her heart that it was a good memory and she will treasure it forever.
