The Bullied Husband’s Club - Chapter 244
Private Island, Empress HeadQuarter
She was always her grand monitor. That’s why, every morning and every afternoon, she would go on her balcony, put her hat on, and sip on her tea while staring far away to fix her vision. Now, it’s early in the morning and she’s receiving a shoulder massage from her husband while sitting on the reclined chair.
“It’s so good to be alone,” Vanessa said as her husband hugged her from behind and kissed her neck and her cheeks. “I wished that we would have another baby… but since Maverick was grown up we tried hard to have another…”
“We can still do that. You aren’t that old my love.” Armin said as he slowly opened her robe.
“I should have frozen my eggs ten years ago so we could have another.”
“It’s alright. Are you too lonely, my love? I am always with you. Or maybe you are tired that I am always with you?”
“That’s impossible.” She turned her head to him. “I won’t get tired from being with you.” She said softly.
The couple enjoys the sun and their cold drink. Shortly, the clouds covered the sun and the couple went back inside their mansion. The cold air entered through the opened windows. Armin quickly closes it using the remote as he stands straight to close a few of it. His wife wrapped her arms around him and caressed his crotch.
“My love, is it possible that whenever our age increases, we tend to become horny?”
“We were always in love and horny, my love.” She giggled at him. She remembered that after she gave birth to her son, Reinheart was there to protect and assist her, and they made love whenever her fake husband was away. No one caught them. It might be adultery but she knew well that the marriage is a sham. She married him for papers but it was fake because he had a secret family.
“I remember how intense it was when we were hiding from him. Right?” He smiled at her. “Wasn’t it amazing, my love?”
“It was.” She sighed and squeezed his strong waist. “I keep missing you. Maybe I was lonely because I wasn’t with Mave when you grew up to be a very wonderful man.”
He holds her hand over his abdomen.
“We both lack that. It’s one way to protect him and there’s another way to protect and be with him too but we chose to abandon our son.”
“I feel like a bad mother.”
“I feel like a bad father too. But Mave never said anything about it. He was mature enough to understand our situation.” He carefully removed her arms around him and he turned to her. He scooped her face with his left hand and caressed her nose. “It’s not too late to be with our Mave, but he’s grown up and he doesn’t need us.”
“He needs us. Stacey needs us.” She smiled at him. “Maybe we should stay with Mave.”
“We can set that up.” He caressed her hair. “Whatever makes you happy.”
She nodded her head. He bent down and kissed her lips.
“Let’s go back to work. I want to see how they are doing.”
He followed her to the control room as she had hacked into the CCTV of the villa where the Kennedy was staying. Both of them haven’t forgiven anyone of it. They must put them into action right away, but since they are still monitoring them to check on who else they had a connection besides the Belmont, they must remain patient about it.
“Are you cold?” He asked as he quickly took a thick jacket and wrapped it around her. He kissed her cheeks.
“There it goes.” She laughed and zoomed in. She captured it and sent it to the Emperor. “We just need more time. They will be checked-mate as I wanted.”
“Is that, Erickson?” Armin frowned.
“Yes, the only one who suggested setting up concubines to the Crown Prince.” She scoffed. “They thought that the Prince was a pig. Those imbeciles are the ones who are pigs who only thought of their greed.”
“Don’t be angry, my love.” He kissed her head. “I somehow suddenly thought of not going back to the castle.”
“Me too,” She smiled. “But we have to support Stacey and the ladies for their plan. They wreak havoc in the construction.”
“I am afraid that they might do more than that, my love,” Armin said. “Sooner or later, they will ruin the peace of our Country. They might already have people among the rogues that entered the country.”
“That’s what I am afraid of too.” She crossed her arms. “But since they are staying in the shelter that we provided, it’ll be easy for us to monitor them.

Renzel rolled on the bed and turned to her. She smiled and kissed his temple.
“Sleep more, I haven’t prepared any breakfast yet.”
“It’s alright if you won’t cook. We can order any food outside.” He grumbled.
“But I’m starving and I want to cook. I don’t wait to wait for the food. I might be disappointed if it wasn’t delicious.” She kissed his lips and pulled the duvet to cover his chest. “Sleep more.”
He let her go and fell asleep again. It’s the weekend and he feels so tired from driving back to Mila and from their lovemaking. He was dreaming something, a nightmare. He badly wanted to get out but he couldn’t. Then suddenly, he heard a baby’s cry. He searched for it and called out Rebecca and their baby. He moaned from the pain on his chest as he kept seeing and he found her mother carrying a baby and gave it away. Next, it became messy as he saw blood.
He opened his eyes abruptly like he was shaking. He looked up at Mila who looked confused.
“Are you alright?”
He sat up and exhaled. He then looked at her stomach that isn’t visible because of the baggy shirt that she’s wearing.
“Yes.” He grumbled. “Are you still taking pills?” He asked her and reached her hand.
“Yes, I am. Why? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” He shook his head and smiled at her.
“Okay,” She scooped his face. “I make you a very special coffee.”
“Thank you.”
“Are you taking me out on a date today?”
He smiled brightly.
“I will. Where do you want to go?”
She thought for a while and shrugged.
“Why won’t you surprise me?” She grinned at him.
“Sure, I will.” He brought his hand to his lips and then, he kissed her palm that smells like garlic, onion, and something sweet. “I bet you make delicious foods again, darling.”
“I did.” She giggled and hugged him. “Get up now. Wash up, I’ll set the table.” She gently pushed him and then she kissed his head. Renzel watched as Mila walked out of the bedroom. He sighed and thought of the dream that he had. He wanted it to be erased from his head. He slipped off from bed, washed his face, brushed his teeth, and checked his phone for email emergencies. He then put his boxer shorts on and went to the kitchen where she was done setting up the table.
He pulled a chair for her like he usually does and then he sat down and sipped on the coffee.
“This wakes me up.” He grinned at her. Mila looked more beautiful than usual. Probably because she’s comfortable and happy. But what makes her happy? He wondered.
“Let’s eat.” She said as he didn’t reply. Instead, he asked.
“What makes you happy, Mila?”
She stopped and stared at him for a while.
“What?”
“You are blooming more than usual. What makes you happy?” He asked and reached her hand. “I want to know if I make you happy, Mila. I want you to always be beautiful and feel beautiful.”
Mila squeezed his hand and pressed her lips.
“Renz, you always make me happy. You make me happy despite having a hard time on business.”
“You know that I will support you. Not because my family was indebted to you.”
“Thank you.” She smiled beautifully and he kissed her head.
“Let’s eat now. I am starving after seeing this delicious breakfast that you made.”
After breakfast, Renzel makes a few phone calls to set up a date for his girl. He used to do this for Rebecca and she loved it. But somehow as she became more popular, she suggested traveling out of the country. But since his salary couldn’t take such expensive travels and he can’t be away from work for a long time. That’s why he sent her out with pocket money and a business class seat. But it drained his money and he worked harder than usual. Now that he’s the COO of the company with a lot of allowances from the company and his grandmother, he wanted to give more to Mila.
“Yes, it’s private,” Renzel said. He somehow knew that his brothers or his grandmother would spy on him. But he didn’t care if she came from the family of a Baron that was slowly failing. “We will be there in three hours.” He said as he went back to the bedroom where she’s packing a few of her clothes. “Bring warm clothes.” He said.
“Are we staying there for long? Is there a good reception?” She was still worried about her business even on weekends, just like him back then.
