The Ceo And Me! - Chapter 222
20 years from now!
“Shawn, Maples and Kitty…hurry, before you get late again for another time in the week!!”
Tinsley screamed at the top of her voice, packing the lunchboxes of her three lazy children.
The maid resumed handing her all the items as she packed them inside the boxes.
Today was the tiffin sharing day. Although it was ridiculous that Shawn, starting his high school, also had this day. Kitty was in her middle and Maples, having this day, made sense because she was still in preschool.
The school, Richmond High, where all the wealthy kids of Richmond went to was very strict about tiffin sharing day.
In the big house with a very wide living room and adjoined dinner hall along with the kitchen, she always had to scream her lungs out to get the kids out of their rooms all the damn time.
“No, Marry…handle the blueberry sauce. Madi and Shreya’s daughters love my doughnut with blueberry sauce.”
Tinsley said and Marry nodded, giving her the freshly baked blueberry syrup and Tin sprayed it all around the doughnut.
Madi’s younger daughter was the same age as Kitty and they went to the preschool together.
Shreya was another mom, whom they had befriended in the school and now the trio would go out, every Friday night to take a much-needed break from all the household chores.
With the kids growing up too fast, works only piled up more. Oh! How wrong she had been thinking that her works would lessen once they would grow up ut it was the total opposite.
“I do not even know what Shawn’s friends like to eat…they all are grown up now! Do they have the same taste as before?”
Tinsley questioned herself, getting distressed that what if her son’s friends would not like the tiffin, he would take today.
“Madam…you are stressing too much…teenagers, either way, do not care about eating from lunch boxes at all!”
Marry tried to calm her down. She had watched Ava grow up and start high school and how all her lunch boxes would come untouched on every tiffin day.
“Ahhh!!! Marry!! Do not remind me of Ava dolly! ”
Tinsley said, also recalling that how her eldest daughter was a loner, not much of a talkative person like her father.
But it was a totally different case with her son. Shawn, who to her fear from day one turned to be that handsome boy with the smile that made girls go crazy.
He had a bunch of friends…they call it the popular kids. He only had five best friends since preschool and the circle grew, as he grew together with them…puberty made him look as eye-catching as his father.
“Shawn is a different case!! They call him the popular kid…I do not even know what is that??”
Tinsley nagged to Marry…the maid smiled. Attending All-Girl School, Tinsley never knew what it was like going to a free school.
“And I do not want him to be pulled down from his social ladder for my tiffin!”
And from up the stairs came, the boy himself. When he stood before his mother and Marry, opposite of the kitchen counter.
“Oh common! Mom, your tiffin can’t tarnish my reputation!”
Shawn let out. His voice had grown to be hoarse and so manly for his age. Tinsley, along with Marry had to look up at him for he had become taller than them. Everyone said that he would cross his father one day…and that one day could be approaching soon.
“Good morning to you too, son!”
Tinsley gave him that mocking tone. It was an informal signal for him to know that she was not fine with him waking up late again.
His little sister, Kitty looked up to him and followed all his actions so Tinsley always tried to correct Shawn to correct Kitty.
“Don’t mom! I know I m up late but I got Kitty ready!!”
He smirked as he made his baby sister, come out from hiding behind his tall frame.
And instantly it made Tin smile. Shawn picked Kitty up in his arms. He was just like his father, who knew how to warm up one’s heart.
Marry took the tiffins to the living room to get them inside the backpack of the children.
“Where is Maples??”
Tinsley asked. Her second daughter, who had her periods, two months ago, was obsessed with makeup and looking like Kylie Jenner.
She had forced her father to get her the signed kits of Kylie and Tinsley was against it…yet he went ahead and got her one, costing him a near to million. His excuse was that his daughter was going to be the fashionista of this generation and he would support her all the way through.
“I m here mom!”
Came out, Maples, busy applying lipstick to her thin lips, staring at the mini mirror. Shawn rolled his eyes.
“We are ready to go, common!”
Shawn spun the keychain around his forefinger, dropping Kitty on her feet and Tinsley picked her little daughter up, hugging her to get the chest.
The school was not so far away and so they allowed, Shawn, to drive with his temporary driving license.
“I packed Sugar bread for Della, Shawn. Please give it to her!”
Tinsley requested him as they all walked up to the porch. Della was Bethany’s daughter, the same age as Ava in grade eleven while Shawn was in ninth, starting high school.
“Isn’t she with Ava?? Why should I hand her tiffin?”
Shawn implored, totally not liking the sound of it. It was not because he was too lazy to hand the tiffin…but Della, had a thing for him and he totally did not look her in that way.
Right now, his eyes were trained on Brittney, the school’s head cheerleader and they matched with each other, him being the basketball team captain…a beautiful blonde.
While Della, older than him, not like he had any problem with that. Britney was too a year older than him. But with Ava, he had always seen her as a girl who was always there with his family…growing up.
She was obsessed with him. Had ruined so many of his dates, not to mention how many times, she had tried to seduce him…he was just not into her and was tired of her bullshit.
Her mother, Bethany, was a nice woman, who still worked in the bakery. It was only because of his father, Della was able to study in the same school as them. He had taken up Della’s education responsibility.
“Your elder sister left even before I was up!”
Tinsley chuckled. She knew that Ava purposefully did that to avoid taking the tiffin.
“You are going to be a good boy and hand Della, the sugar bread, Shawn!”
Tinsley sternly said, making Kitty sit on her baby chair at the back, buckling her up. Maples got inside too and Shawn headed towards the driver’s seat.
“Isn’t this dad’s job?? Why am I doing everyone’s job??”
Shawn complained, playfully, gesturing at his baby sister and teenage, annoying one, still busy dolling her face up at the back.
“Drive safely and share the tiffin!”
It was all she said before the Porche was out of the main gates. Their father had a long night and she blushed, thinking about it. Time to wake him up!! Now that the kids were gone.

Parking the Porche in the driveway, Maples took Kitty out to her class, not wanting to stay longer and watch Shawn eat his supposed girlfriend, Britney’s face out, leaning against the hood of the car.
“Look Adella is here!!”
Chad, Shawn’s one of the best buddies pointed it out as she walked inside the school gates. Her eyes landed upon Shawn and his group, hanging in the parking lot as usual.
All of them teased Shawn with Della for how direct and obsessive she was for him.
When Della saw Shawn and another girl kissing, she very angrily kicked off an empty soda can, hitting on his porche and everyone laughed when Shawn stopped kissing Brittney to see who did it. And sighed when his eyes connected with Della’s maddening ones.
“Bruh!! What is she gonna do next year when she will graduate ??”
One of them let out from Shawn’s group. Brittney kept a firm hold on his hand and so did he. Jax rolled his eyes at Chad’s upcoming remark.
“She us going to fail another class just so she could wait and keep an eye on our Shawny boy…”
They all laughed. She had failed in her previous semester and all of them made fun of it thinking she did it knowingly to stay back and graduate with Shawn’s class instead of hers.
Della did not listen to them as they mocked her love and walked past them, hurt that Shawn had his hand around Brittney.
Later in the lunch break, when Shawn saw her eating all alone, he was reminded of the sugar breads. He went ahead and handed it to her.
And that very simple gesture, made Della, blush, thinking he still cared…he will fall for her one day…hopelessly just like her as he went back to his popular ground…standing there all alone.
