The Ceo And Me! - Chapter 226
He extended his hand and placed it on her covered bump, Tinsley was taken back by his action.
It was in the exact moment, baby Ava chose to kick, making them know that she was present at the moment and it was a miracle for Kian for he had never felt something like it.
He placed both his hands, wondering how it could be, a smile graced his face when he felt the kicks were directed to where he would touch.
He moved his palms around as he felt the kick too following him. Tinsley was too astonished. It was as if baby Ava was responding to the touch.
“He is kicking!”
Kian said, totally being amazed by it. He had never felt or seen something so unexpected like this.
“It’s a she!”
Tinsley corrected him and his eyes fell upon hers. It was the first time after what had occurred in the restaurant.
She was clueless as to what to do…what to say and whatnot. She was also sceptical about how to treat him…ignore or just be formal??
She did not want him to get angry either and then drag her to the court, battling for Ava’s custody for she knew that he would do, he could do it…
The best trick here was just to be formal and not raise his temper up. Now knowing that they were still married, she was scared of her future.
Kian remained static as she ran her evergreen orbs over his grey ones. His hands were pasted on her belly and a tight kick made Tinsley curse out.
She held onto the spot and winced. The kick was hard. Kian immediately withdrew his hands to rub her back.
“Hey? Are you alright?”
He implored being concerned. She nodded after a while and he sighed in relief. For once, he thought she was having those dreaded cramps. Their moment was interrupted by the doctor.
“I see you are up, Tinsley!”
The doctor greeted and Kian rose up from sitting on the bed, beside her. The doctor began to narrate her vitals.
“You are alright and so is the baby. But now that you are going to enter the seventh month soon, you need to be more careful with everything…only two months would be left before you deliver your child, Tinsley…”
Both Tin and Kian intake a sharp breathe, thinking how close she was to birth her baby girl and for Kian to see his wife give being a mother to someone else’s child.
The two months left in between could change a lot of things. And Tinsley was sure to carry on with these two months very carefully.
“I would suggest you start working less because you need rest at this moment. ”
The doctor advised and it was the harder part knowing she could not just yet drop out from work otherwise she would have to return back to work soon afterwards the baby was delivered, using up her maternity leave sooner.
“And also if you are leaving alone, I would ask you to have someone close by, living with you at your disposal so that they can be near you in your time of immediate need.”
It was at that moment Kian decided to step in and take the opportunity of the chance.
He knew that he had only these two months in between to earn her trust back and to prove that he was willing to provide for this baby, even if it was not his…he wanted to try and give it a shot.
When Tinsley was in a grave thinking about what to do with needing people at her disposal.
Although Jessica would come forward, she could not rely much on the old woman after everything she had been doing for her.
And maybe, she thought it was about time, she could call either Madi or Lana to come by since they had been asking to visit her for so long and she had denied it…but now the time seemed right.
She would really need someone during her delivery. It was an emergency to have someone close by and she was hoping that Madi would be free to stay.
“I will leave you two to decide the rest of the things up. And you can be discharged right now if you want!”
The doctor declared and Kian spoke up.
“I could stay…I mean can, of course, look after for the two months and coming months…”
“No need, I will contact someone else.”
Tin stopped him and by now the doctor knew that their relationship was a complicated one.
“I can look after…”
“I will hold it in myself, thank you!”
Kian pressed but Tinsley remained adamant and the doctor decided to drop in at that moment.
“You know it will be good if you let him stay…since he is your husband!”
The doctor let out, biting her lips, not really wanting to step in a personal matter and she was outright after that to let the couple decide on their own.
“The doctor said it so…”
“Still…”
Before Tin could say something more, Kian strode closer to her and she sealed her lips, keeping his eyes upon him, not wanting to provoke him into dragging her to the courthouse.
“It is decided then I will take you home!”
He finalized. He could tell that she was still intimidated by him and for her to let him stay, he needed for her to remain like that or else, she would not wait a second before kicking him near from her.
She was a bit confused that which home he was going to take her to? Was he going to take her back to Richmond?
“To my home?”
She implored and he turned around to see her. She was still seated on the bed, unmoved till she knew where he was going to take her.
“Of course! Now common…please!”
The soft ‘please’ from him, made her ultimately step out of the bed and they both walked outside.
She chose to stay sit in the back and he was a bit upset by that act but he did not argue. She was glad to see her bag and coat inside the car. Kian had collected it from the restaurant and also asked his guards to drive back to their base.
The driveway was silent. The city lights reflected on the glass window as it moved backwards, the Mercedes raced forward.
Soon they were home, and as Kian parked the Mercedes on the street corner for she had no spot to park in her small front yard.
He helped her out, with the big bump, it was a bit hard to get out like any normal person. He picked up her leather coat and also the bag.
Before she could unlock the door, Jessica, came out from the other house. Tin tilted her head to greet the old woman.
“My.y!! You are fine! I heard you left early from the diner and took so long to arrive, I thought something was up!”
The old lady touched Tin’s face, worried, checking out if she was alright. Tin nodded that she was fine.
“I forgot to give you a call, I m sorry!”
She apologized. She could tell the old woman was tensed for her. Jessica then turned her gaze over to Kian, who stood there ideally, holding the coat and her bag.
“And who is this?”
Jessica implored and before Kian could open his mouth to answer, Tin stepped in.
“He is Kian…here to drop me!”
Kian could see that she was hesitant to introduce him as her husband and to not rile her up, he decided to stay silent.
“I m Kian! ”
He went along. Jessica had her eyes scanning the young man from head to toe, trying to figure things out herself.
“I bet your face resembles with a man that comes in the TV often…the magazine!”
Jessica’s eyes wore the red clothes of suspicion and it was Tin’s cue to drag him inside the house before Jessica found out who he really was and what he was doing here.
“It’s cold…we better get inside!”
She excused herself and held Kian’s wrist and pulled him inside, bidding night to the old woman, who had her eyes on Kian briefly.
Tin stepped inside the living room and turned around to see him putting her coat in the hanger as if he knew that she hung it there all the time. He also kept the bag behind the coat, hanging it up.
She had no idea how could he know but then the cold wind coming from the window made her turn to look at it and she saw two of his guards on standby mode.
It was all clear to her that he had been watching her all these long and she very angrily, stomped near the window and closed it with a thud, annoyed to no extent.
