The Ceo And Me! - Chapter 227
PRECAP
“I know we have had it bad, gone through some dark phrases but I want us to be back like before…because this is our future and we can’t deny it…neither can I…”
“My future is my daughter…”
Tinsley interrupted him and his composure Llp herself in questioning him at all. It was very unlike of him to head somewhere, there was no profit for him.
“Why not?”

“I would suggest you start working less because you need rest at this moment. ”
The doctor advised and it was the harder part knowing she could not just yet drop out from work otherwise she would have to return back to work soon afterwards the baby was delivered, using up her maternity leave sooner.
“And also if you are leaving alone, I would ask you to have someone close by, living with you at your disposal so that they can be near you in your time of immediate need.”
It was at that moment Kian decided to step in and take the opportunity of the chance.

“And who is this?”
Jessica implored and before Kian could open his mouth to answer, Tin stepped in.
“He is Kian…here to drop me!”
Kian could see that she was hesitant to introduce him as her husband and to not rile her up, he decided to stay silent.
“I m Kian! ”
He went along. Jessica had her eyes scanning the young man from head to toe, trying to figure things out herself.
“I bet your face resembles with a man that comes in the TV often…the magazine!”
Jessica’s eyes wore the red clothes of suspicion.

Madison heated the chicken soup again and bought it up to Anna Maria’s room.
The old woman was sick again and was stubborn to eat anything unless Madison spilt everything out to her.
Chicken soup was her favourite and Madi was trying to get her grandma to eat it by luring her with her food weakness.
“Common nana!!! Eat it!!!”
She pestered. Anna Maria did not even spare a glance in her way. Madi was tired of nagging for sometimes now. The old woman was not going to let go easily.
“How will you have your medicines if you do not eat anything at all??”
Madi tried to reason with sense yet to no use, Anna Maria kept a straight face, staring at the wall.
Madi looked back at the nurse, the care taker, she had appointed to look after her grandmother was and now she could understand what the nurse was telling her…about how much hard it was to get her nana to oblige by.
Madi dropped the bowl on the nightstand, giving up. There was no way, she was going to let go this easily.
“Fine!!! You want to know the truth…let me say it for you…”
Madi started and it instantly got Anna Maria’s attention. She gave her side gaze to her granddaughter.
“Lana is sick!”
“John told me the same thing…what kind of sickness??”
Anna Maria implored and Madi closed her eyes, telling the truth in the process.
“She had stomach cancer.”
It was a whisper, but Anna Maria heard it and let out a small gasp. She could see how much her granddaughter was in pain at that moment.
“The doctors are doing the therapy and all the possible treatments but they think, she would need an implant. John is looking for her matching donor but no luck yet…I do not know even what is to happen next…”
Before Madi could break down, Anna Maria pulled her in for a hug and the tears seeped out of her eyes soaking her cheeks and the old woman’s sweater.
“So many things have happened!”
Anna Maria spoke to herself, rubbing Madi’s back, trying to soothe her up. She could not take the fact that both her daughters were going through such a rough patch at the time being.
“Everything will be fine!!..we all know that. You do too!! Don’t you??”
But Madi shook her head in negative. She was not sure this time if everything was going to be fine.
Not to mention after what she had done. The kind of sin, she had committed which had no forgiveness at all.
“I love her so much!!”
She cried out. And Anna Maria nodded. She knew and saw how much Madi loved Lana. It was very obvious to anyone who stood ten feet apart from them.
“What will I do without her??? What I m going to do, nana???”
She sobbed her heart out. At the hospital despite of all that was happening, how heartbreaking it was to watch her go through those therapies and treatments, yet Madi could never break down before her…she had to maintain this strong, boldface for her…to give her support.
But inside, she was breaking down into pieces, tiny ones and there was no way she knew how to fix herself if something gravious, horrendous happened to her??
Anna Maria pulled Madi out of her embrace and rubbed her tears off. She could not see her granddaughter in such a state.
“Ask her hand in marriage, my child! ”
And it shook Madi’s entire core and feature. She was not expecting her grandma to give her such advice.
“When you have limited time, you got to start acting fast and if she is the one for you, my child…then what is there to wait for more for??”
All at that time, Anna Maria wanted was to make her do the one thing, she would have done if Lana was still not sick and might regret it later for not acting upon the matter when there was still time left.
“But…how…”
Madi was clueless. She just did not understand how a marriage could be possible in a time like this??
And would Lana even agree to wed with her after what she had done??
Even though she was reacting as if she did not remember but Madi could tell that sooner or later, she was going to remember everything and then everything would be over for good.
“There are no buts…if you love her…do it. So that later on, when it is late, you do not repent that you did not do it sooner…”
Anna Maria pressed and Madi could not match her eyes with the old woman, not wanting to let her know what kind of betrayal she had committed on Lana.
“I did something bad, nana…I…”
“What did you do??”
Anna Maria was stern and serious when she asked Madi about it. She just hoped her granddaughter did not commit a heinous crime where there was no redemption.
“I cheated on her…with someone close…”
Madi finally let out, closing her eyes with nothing more to say anymore. Anna Maria just watched her with silence.
“What do I do??? What do I do, nana!!!”
Madi urged as she could feel the stiff judgement from her own grandma. She did not want grandma to look at her like that.
“It’s all up to her now, Madi!”
It was all she had said and it was all Madi had to listen to before she left her grandma in the care of the nurse.
On going back to the hospital, she saw John, waiting for her in the lobby. She very slowly strode towards him.
“You are back!”
John greeted her. Madi nodded not knowing what to say or how to react.
“She is fine…she is for all the tests today!”
He informed her and they could see how awkward, things had been between them ever since.
With everything going on, every incident, every look of judgement, disgust, directed to her…Madi felt suffocated and in that midst, she looked up to see him.
Her surrounding went frozen, her senses had bid farewell she launched herself up and grabbed his face in her hands, slammed her lips against his.
She was using him as her fair escape from reality and John could see that. He could feel it. Things did not go well with her grandma. He could sense it.
But he could not help himself and question if this was what they say love being their weakness??
Madi had pulled him to the empty closet nearby the cabin. The hospital at that time was not much crowded. It being the private VIP area.
She fumbled with his belt, he let her do as she wished and when they both connected with each other…it was this mind-shattering pleasure, peace, the euphoria that Madi could not help herself from coming back for it…again and again….
What worst was none of them even felt guilty about it!
