The Ceo’s Cute Girlfriend Is A Werewolf - Chapter 170
They managed to advance fairly quickly through the forest. Greg clambering through the trees and, like a monkey, jumping from branch to branch, inspecting everything around with his eyes and double check with the satellite map that caught thermal marks among the trees. Vicky led all eight shifters with riders on the ground, taking directions from Greg and guiding their group in the right direction. In the forest there really were a lot of shifters who was laying in wait literally under each bush. With this, Greg had to continually run ahead and distract attention to himself, diverting the ambush to the side, if it could not be avoided. Judging by the fact that he managed to overhear from the shifters waiting for them, these were the Alphas who were against the new upstart. Some simply could not allow a human to become the Alpha and leader of the pack. Greg smirked, once again listening to some werewolf’s indignant whisper, implying that it is uncalled for to let these weak little humans the right to be equal with real shifters. These assholes were not even aware that they were all in his palm. And at any moment they may get trapped by this weak little human as some blind pups. But Greg had enough blood and senseless deaths already. He liked more to solve such problems coldly and collectedly, and not by force. He will still have time to force these fools to crawl to him for help one day.Ryan was right, and after fifteen minutes, Greg climbed to the top of a tree and noticed in the distance a small mountain towering over a solid carpet of greenery. Passing the news to Vicky, he rushed forward to scout the situation. Unfortunately. As closer they got to the indicated place, the more ambushes were found. Very soon, their small squad will not be able to avoid the attack. Greg paused as he assessed the situation and checked everything in his head with a satellite map. There was no way out.”Time for sabotage!” – Greg thought to himself, and handing the latest directions to Vicky, proceeded toward the nearest suitable ambush. Two groups of shifters hid just a few steps from each other. Firstly, he chose those who were a little closer to the place where Vicky was supposed to pass. Having calculated the trajectory, he hovered on a branch directly above the second group and, pulling all of his straight in one swing, threw a weighty stone right in the back of the largest shifter’s head of the first group. That guy’s head swang to the side and then his sprang to his feet looking around in search of the one who attacked him.Greg suppressed a satisfied smile and making sure that he was not visible in the crown of a tree, threw one more stone at his victim so that it could be seen from which side it had flown.Shifter roared as a hefty rock smashed him in the forehead and rushed in the right direction. His comrades followed him, stumbling right upon the second group of werewolves in ambush. Greg watched the fight a little, but there was no much time left. And like this, he went on to wreak havoc in the forest.Ten minutes later, Greg managed to hook up a few more groups of shifters, pushing them to fight each other. Meanwhile, Vicky led their small squad through all the obstacles and was practically near the target. Greg, seeing this rushed towards them. The peak was already looming between the trees when Greg caught up with his pack, jumping out of the trees at the same time as them. The man made a spectacular flip and landed in front of his group. He was ready to make a proud pose but froze in a daze. In front of them, on a small clearing at the base of the hill, stood a whole crowd of Alpha-shaped shifters. They all snarled and roared, ready to rush into battle. Vicky yelped from behind Greg and pressed into his legs, shivering in fright. The other huddled closer, probably seeing their whole life flashing before their eyes.At that moment Greg looked up, and everything seemed to disappear. At the very top of the cliff stood Lana in a white dress that shimmered, picked up by the night breeze. Directly above her, the Full Moon was shining, which mystical light made the girl look like a fantastic beauty from a fairy tale, blowing a myriad of sparks through her hair. She was as gorgeous as a vision. The body moved forward by itself. Even the wild roar of a whole crowd of shifters no longer scared Greg. But loud male laughter pulled him out of this state. Greg’s eyes darted to the figure at the very base of the cliff. It was an old man whose face seemed strangely familiar to him. Disheveled hair, matted beard, and sharp look. Memory immediately threw a picture of a short incident in the museum, which Greg almost forgot. It was the same old man who was telling him about the Dire wolves from the past.”Good to see you again, Gregory.” – Sounded his husky, rough voice. “I’m glad you could make it here and bring your pack along. So many unusual people united by one extraordinary leader. Or rather two leaders.” – He said turning around to Lana and winking at the girl. She smiled broadly and looked with pride at Greg first, and then gazed at everyone who came with him today.”You said that my heart has already made a choice the last time we met. So why all these tests today?” – Greg shouted with angry notes in his voice, turning to the old man. The man grinned with his toothless mouth.” This test was not for you at all, boy. You have seen for yourself in the forest how many among the Alphas are those who do not believe that you are worthy of the title of Alpha. That this is just a fluke, a bunch of clowns who found a loophole in the law. This is a test for them so that they can prove their strength and believes.” The old man looked at the crowd of shifters and shouted in a loud voice.”Well, before you the Wells pack. Who’ll be the first to challenge them?”Greg tensed, looking around at the excited crowd. And turned to his friends. ” Okay! Bring it on! Who wants to die first?!” – Tony shouted, jumping off a white she-wolf and standing next to Greg. From under his jacket instantly appeared pistols with hammer’s back.” Let’s see, who’s not afraid to get a few new holes in their arses!” – Franky added, throwing his pompon into the nearest shifter and taking the machine gun out of his pants. Greg raised an eyebrow, making notes for the future, to ask how many weapons Frank is hiding in his wide pants. Mike joined his friends in silence, adjusting the brass knuckles on his hands. And Paul pointedly threw the jacket under which he was only wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, exposing fully tattooed arms and chest. His jacket also hid one more thing a baseball bat with rusty nails sticking out of it.”Well, I guess we’ll have to teach you what they do with such people at night in my neighborhood.” – He said, smiling coldly.Greg turned back to the crowd of enemies, pulling out his knives, on which blades electrical discharges had already started to swirl. He ducked slightly in preparation for the attack. And …At this moment, the general mood was interrupted by a sharp sound. The views of those gathered went on a small figure of a woman. Rosie blushed under so many stares.”Oh, sorry to interrupt the moment. Just this thing is always acting up.” – she said shyly, once again pulling the ignition handle of a huge chainsaw in her hands. “Jesus, Mom?!” – Yelled Greg, throwing up his hands. – “Where did you get this thing?””So what? I also have a hobby.” – the woman snapped and waved to him. – “Come on, continue your speech. What did you want to say so inspiring?”But the moment was already spoiled. The old man at the base of the hill choked on his own laughter and the rest of the shifters no longer looked particularly eager for a fight. “Okay,” – the old man said, wiping away tears. – “I see that everyone has already understood that they should not get involved with your fr… unusual pack. I think it’s time for the main thing.” The old man beckoned to Greg, and the shifters obediently parted as they let him pass. Making the first step, Greg began to feel strange energy that filled him, pushing him forward. He caught Lana’s blue eyes, which were sparkling like gems and increased his pace. Greg did not even notice how he began to climb the hill. The whole world narrowed to only one thing, the face of his beloved woman, her hand – stretched in his direction and an unbearable desire to finally touch her. As if every cell of his body prayed for it. All around was flooded by the moonlight. Lana smiled and stepped forward, right into his arms. At this second, Greg felt such a storm of emotions. His. Her. Everything was mixed into one beautiful mess. And it was perfect. As it should be. ” Today, on this wonderful night.” – the old man’s rough voice sounded above them as if intertwined in the silver rays of light. – “I, Gerard the Cursed, the Head of the Council of Shifters, with the power given to me by the Moon, my brothers and sisters have the honor to announce the birth of a new pack.”” Daughter of wolves, Ruslana!” – he said, looking into Lana’s eyes and smiling gently. – “Be the air for your Alpha. Be a flame that warms his soul and points the way. Be a worthy mother for your people.”” Son of the humans, Gregory!” – the old man turned to Greg, lightly nodding in approval. – “Be a rock that your people can rely on. Be the water that purifies their hearts from filth and darkness. Be the virtues father and protector of your pack. Lead your people to the light and never lose sight of each other. And the moon will always give you her love. May her blessing be with you forever.”The shifters around burst into an uproar, greeting the new Couple and the new pack. The cheers of Greg’s and Lana’s friends added to their howling and roars. Greg felt an overwhelming rush of energy inside. As if rays of moonlight were absorbed into the skin filling it with unknown magic. Everything was boiling. He suddenly so clearly felt the happiness of Lana, her warm heart beating next to his. And then the support of Nicky, his cautious, but strong spirit. Vicky’s invigorating energy swept all over his body, making Greg smile. A reliable and true force of Frank gave him calmness. Tony’s wild energy, cheered up, and Mike’s composure – gave confidence. Even the uncontrollable power of Paul made Greg squeeze Lana harder in his arms. With every second, Greg felt emotions of his loved ones like stars igniting inside him, trusting him with parts of their souls. The chest began to feel so full. Greg could not hold back any longer and opened his mouth, forcing out all the feelings overwhelming him.A loud roar came over the mountain and Lana’s long-drawn howl intertwined with it in one melody of delight and unity. The old man threw the last approving glance at the couple pressed against each other as if they were trying to become one and headed off with a satisfied smile, dissolving into the woods like mist. And the Moon continued to illuminate the lovers, rejoicing in the new union. And playfully throwing its silver beams on the shoulders of other children, choosing the one who would be allowed to hear her gentle whisper next …
