The CEO’s Lovely Wife - Chapter 267
“Master He, what a pleasant surprise. I didn’t know that you would visit me so suddenly. If I kn–”
“Oh cut the bllsht. I don’t want to waste my precious spit on you.” Grandpa He did not let Peizhi finish his weightless greeting. To him, just a word from him is worth a bar of gold. That’s how expensive it is. And to speak to Peizhi, this useless piece of block, was a total waste.
Grandpa He really does not want to talk to him, face him for that matter, because instead of talking, he might just lunge on this bstard directly, tore him to pieces and leave his mutilated corpse in some jungle in the middle of nowhere to rot.
Peizhi did not expect that Master He would not even keep a facade but instead did not give him any face.
“Master He, although you are an elder, a senior that is respected by many, I won’t tolerate your disrespect to me especially here in my own company.” Peizhi said with suppressed anger bubbling up inside of him. He had to compose himself so hard which led to him suffering some internal wound that made him only curse internally.
Peizhi sat himself opposite of Grandpa He, looking confident, relaxed, and arrogant. He looked at Grandpa He who looked dumbfounded by his words in relish. The feeling of beating a master with words was just so gratifying.
“I don’t want to say more but as Confusion’s popular quote, “Respect yourself and others will respect you.” That is to say, you being so…unrestrained here in my office…uhh, I’m sorry, I didn’t want to be rude.” He added with a chuckle. He doesn’t know why but he felt like Grandpa He looked somewhat just like October but then immediately shook that idea off his head, not wanting to acknowledge that kind of possibility.
Peizhi felt good. Fu Yung also sat beside him, looking obedient, elegant, and smart looking, not at all showing arrogance. But Grandpa He knew all too well how cunning and how big of a snake this woman was. He could not hide his disgust on his face while looking at Fu Yung as he started to gag on the faces of Peizhi and Fu Yung.
*Blurgh*
Grandpa He elegantly pulled out his ironed white handkerchief from his jetted pocket of his suit jacket and acted as if he was throwing up. And sure enough, when Grandpa He glanced at them, their faces were green and bluish violet. Their faces were also contorted so bad, full of disgust and annoyance.
Behind that handkerchief was Grandpa He’s sneer.
“Oh, I’m sorry for almost puking in front of you. It was just too nauseating in here.” Grandpa He apologized but his smile and eyes were saying otherwise. Instead, it was full of ridicule and revulsion. He wanted to savor their reactions bit by bit but he has other things up his sleeve. If so, would their faces be so distorted to the point that it won’t return to normal? Ha! That would truly be a sight to see.
Peizhi grinded his teeth till his gums hurt. He glared at Grandpa He so coldly as if forming icicles and pierced onto the old man’s face.
“And who might this girl here? She looked so young.” Grandpa He feigning ignorance which made Fu Yung’s face smile proudly. That is, until she heard him added, “Is she your daughter?”
“No. Master. He.” Peizhi’s face was no better than Fu Yung, black as ink. “She is my wife.”
“Ah yes. Of course. I thought there for a moment that you were father and daughter because you two looked so much each other, two peas in a pod.” Grandpa He sneered as he handed his handkerchief to Assistant Ke nonchalantly.
Peizhi took a deep, deep breath to calm his jumping nerves before turning serious as he looked at Master He.
“I know that you are not here to talk about my affairs, Master He. So let’s cut to the chase, what is your purpose in coming here?”
Grandpa He really wondered why his darling daughter would fall for someone as short-sighted as this guy. Although He Jiao was rebellious, she was his only daughter he doted on who has a natural talent in business. Unfortunately, his daughter got scammed by this lowlife.
“Actually, I am here solely because I want to talk about my affairs to you.”
Twitching hard at the corner of his lips, Peizhi struggled to keep his calm façade.
‘Who cares about your affairs, you darn old fossil.’
Peizhi shook his head slightly with a sigh, showing a bit of irritation and more on disappointment, “Is this about my daughter? Did she tell you about what happened recently?”
Ears instantly perked. ‘Something happened to my treasured granddaughter? And judging from the sound of it, this bastard has something to do with it. That Lexus brat, he didn’t tell me about anything.’
Noticing that there was no response from Grandpa He, Peizhi continued with another sigh, “She’s already a grown-up and yet she can’t even take care of herself. That was only a little bit of work and yet she had already fainted? Tch. I’m really-”
A sudden breeze grazed passed Peizhi’s cheek and a loud smash was heard behind, the teacup broke into pieces. It would have been somewhat fine but that cup still have tea in it resulting to the tea to spill some on Peizhi and Fu Yung. Though not wet, it was hot.
They could not swallow this humiliation. Fu Yung was about to burst out but she was stopped by Peizhi so she could only swallow her grievances and looked at her husband pitifully but Peizhi’s attention was all on Grandpa He.
“Oh excuse me, my hand slipped.”
‘What do you mean “slipped?” Do you think that kind of “excuse” will work?’ Fu Yung furiously though to herself. She was literally shaking in anger.
“Anyway,” Grandpa He started while motioning for another cup of tea from Assistant Ke while looking at Peizhi with scorpion-like eyes. “As I was saying, I am a father of three: two boys and one girl. I don’t know about those sons, but they’re so useless. Fortunately, my daughter is an angel. She was my treasure, the princess of the family. She was good at almost everything which she inherited from me, of course.”
Peizhi blankly looked at Grandpa He. First was he was disrespectful and did not give them any face at all. But now he was talking about his family. Who the fck would listen to that kind of crap from a stranger?! They weren’t even that close. This was only the second time they had met, damn it!
The eyebrow of Peizhi would not stop twitching. He felt that Grandpa He was just too unpredictable. Peizhi could not follow the train of thoughts of this old man.
“My daughter was a moving beauty, smart, outgoing, pretty much everything that I could ask for. She had the talent in business.” Grandpa He’s face looked kind, happy, and full of love while reminiscing the beautiful memory of his daughter smiling at him and calling him “Papa.” However, his expression flipped. It became a face full of gloominess, sadness. It was a face full of heartbreak. At this time, it would seem like the hair on his head turned whiter and face aged.
“Then she moved away, away from her home to explore new things for her to grow. Till she made her own decisions, made a family of her own…and flew away to somewhere I couldn’t reach yet.”
“Master He, are you here just to tell me this?” Peizhi slowly asked, squinting his eyes a little, but Grandpa He seemed to not have heard him as he continued.
“Fortunately, she had left me a granddaughter, my granddaughter who was almost a carbon copy of my daughter.” Grandpa He smiled widely, the sadness in his eyes diminished a little.
Somehow, as soon as Peizhi heard this, he felt his heart drop, uneasiness filled his heart. It was so sudden and does not know why he was feeling like this. But soon, this question of his will be answered.
