The CEO’s Lovely Wife - Chapter 279
Longwei looked up at the building in front of him. From the way he saw it, it is more bigger and taller than the building owned by his father by a few times. He has to crane his neck up till it was sore.
“So my sister’s husband owns this, huh.” He said to himself. His usually calm self had somehow lightened up in awe, worship, and respect. “My sister really is amazing.”
While stuck in a trance, Longwei heard Ben, the driver that accompanied him, called out to him in a low tone enough for him to hear. He then turned to look at Ben with his brow arched at him.
“Young master, are you nervous? Do you want me to go with you inside and call for the young miss?” Asked Ben, noticing that his young master had not moved for some time since they arrived in front of Heaven Company.
Longwei, feeling embarrassed and angry as he felt that his face had just been slapped, glared at Ben making his cheeks redder than usual.
“What do you mean by nervous? Do you see me as a child? Hmph!” His nose scrunched up in annoyance when he was pointed out by Ben.
Looking at the angry dumpling in front of him, Ben forced down the smile that was threatening to emerge on his lips and covered it by clearing his throat. He respectfully dropped his head in apology, “Forgive me, young master. I did not intend to offend you in any way.”
“Since this is your first offense, I would forgive you. I am already a grown up so I can think for myself and take care of myself. However, I won’t tolerate it a second time.” Longwei harrumphed, putting his hands behind him.
“Yes, young master. Thank you for your benevolence.” Ben bowed again. “Well then, if the young master needed my assistance, please do call.”
“Yes, young master.”
“Hey, Ben. Is my clothes okay? Do you think my sister will think that I’m cute?” He asked, his voice almost inaudible at the end of his question. His eyes wavered and looked quite nervous.
Ben, surprised at the sudden and unexpected question thrown at him, stared blankly at Longwei. However, this only lasted for a few seconds before he recovered himself. He let out a cough before smiling down at Longwei.
‘My, I thought that the young master was so m.a.t.u.r.e for his age that it sometimes make me forget that he is a child. It was worrisome. But he really is still a child.’ He thought to himself, feeling relieved.
“I am sure that the young miss would think so. There is no one more clever and handsome as you, young master.”
Hearing his encouragement, Longwei finally composed and calmed himself with his back straight and regained confidence as he walked toward the entrance of the building.
Inside, he was immediately greeted with a spacious hall with comfortable lounges and tables with a few employees walking by. His eyes scanned around calmly then stopped at the area where he thought the reception desk was.
Some people had already noticed the cute child trotting calmly. They were curious of whose child he was but thought that maybe it was a child of some employees that were just visiting. It was not a rare occurrence. However, what differs him from others was that the child was calm, composed, and acted like a true grown up.
When Longwei arrived in front of the reception desk, he looked up to see that the lady behind the desk was looking at him with a wide smile on her face. He felt that it was weird but he chose to disregard it and just find his sister.
“Excuse me, Auntie.”
The said lady that just called “Auntie” had her wide smile faltered. She was still in her early twenties and yet this little child in front of her just called her “Auntie.” She just could not accept this. It felt like her face just got swiped to the floor by this little guy.
Forcing a smile on her face, the lady receptionist still catered to Longwei.
“What can I do for you, young sir?”
Longwei felt like his confidence got a sudden boost when called “sir” and thought that he got taller. He did not know that he had on a smile on his face, making his already handsome face more impeccable. /
“I would like to see my sister, October.”
The lady receptionist that was a bit offended by being called “Auntie” had totally tossed that matter at the back of her mind and felt her heart skip a bit at the sudden smile directed at her.
‘Oh my gad! Am I crazy? He is just a kid and yet…what was that “skip” about?!’ She was fl.u.s.tered.
“October…” The lady thought about it and could not remember an employee with that name. “May I know what her family name is?”
‘My sister is Park but that was before. My sister is now married so her name should have been changed into her husband’s.’ Longwei’s elegant brows tightened as he forgot what his brother-in-law’s name was.Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click <a href=”#'s-lovely-wife_14989990405383205/279-to-his-brother-in-law's_52287603587738273″>#'s-lovely-wife_14989990405383205/279-to-his-brother-in-law's_52287603587738273</a> for visiting.
“My sister is already married so she’s carrying her husband’s name.”
“And what would it be?”
“…” Longwei pursed his lips, trying to remember information about his brother-in-law.
The lady receptionist smiled patiently at Longwei. She did not try to hurry him in order to not stress the child out. Well, it was more of her enjoying the sight in front of her.
Longwei, who had his eyes clouded with worry finally lit up when he remembered something. It was so obvious that the lady receptionist noticed the change in him. She however just waited for him to tell her.
“My sister’s husband is the owner of this company.”
“…” The lady receptionist looked at the little guy standing cutely before her while looking at her ever so seriously. ‘It looked like he is not joking. But how can I just believe what the child is saying? The matter about CEO Song being married is already known and just a while ago, he came in with his wife. Unfortunately, I was not able to see the face of the madam.’
“Young sir, are you mistaken perhaps?” She said, a little troubled.
While the lady receptionist was trying to appease the little guy in front of her, Secretary Yu came out of the elevator and just so happened to notice the child in front of the reception desk. Somehow, as he looked at him, he felt that he was familiar looking and so chose to walk toward them.
“What’s the matter? Is everything okay?” Secretary Yu used this opportunity to look closely at the child and his eyes flickered in recognition.
