The CEO’s Lovely Wife - Chapter 290
‘This Lu Xing has gone mad. If she wanted to destroy me, just destroy me. Why include innocent people?! I swear, after I escape from this, I will definitely make you pay.’ October’s anger rose exponentially to the point that her heart beat so fast and hands tightly clenched.
October was never a person that who gets easily or overly emotional; however, now that she’s pregnant, with her hormones kicking in and the instinctive reaction of a mother to protect her children, she was boiling in anger. However, the first thing she needed to do was to escape.
‘My babies, don’t worry, Mama’s going to protect you. Help Mama, okay?’
“Let’s go, let’s go!”
The car finally came to a halt and all of them climbed out of the car, guns on their hands, and pulled October out and hastened their way to enter the warehouse. They took quick and cautious steps looking around the area for the look out.
As the group neared the warehouse, two other people went out, checked the surroundings before nodding his head and motioning his hand while saying, “Hurry. Get inside.”
“And the money?” One of the two lookouts asked. Somehow, it has been such a smooth-sailing operation. His eyes landed on the woman held by Shark and whistled.
“Damn. What a beauty we have here. Huehuehue.” He commented and immediately went to take over on holding October, pushing Shark aside. He couldn’t help but lick his lips. The skin he was touching was like a first-class silk, smooth and soft to the touch.
The driver looked at his colleague who was visibly drooling over October. The guy even went so far as sniffing on her hair.
“Half the money’s already been wired and half of it will be sent after the main objective’s done.” Shark answered as he opened the door and went inside followed by three other people. He wanted to get this over with and receive the money. He smirked at the thought of it. “Looks like she offended the little miss of the Lu family.”
Shark and the three others were talking about the money when they heard a shout outside.
October saw that the four kidnappers had already entered the building but somehow she was held back by this disgusting man that was making her want to grimace and hurl. She really wanted to do that but if she do, this might only stimulate him.
“Hey beauty, if you’ll be my woman, I’ll save you from here. Huehue.” He said with burning eyes scanning up and down on October. He put his hand on October’s back and unknowingly swallowed down his saliva. “You can’t unscathed from here. At least, you won’t be played by those people. Yeah, I think I’m such a dashing man rescuing a damsel in distress. Kuh! I’m so cool. What do you think? Hm? Oh yeah, you offended some big shot I heard from a big family. I can also protect you from them. It’s not a bad offer.”
October did not listen, not even one fcking word, to what he was saying. As the man continued to “woo” her, she calmly assessed everything from the area, distance, and people. What she was waiting for was the correct timing.
As soon as the four people was out of sight…
‘Chance!’
This was the queue that she was waiting for, heart beating so fast.
October propped her hands, took a half step forward, took a step back and put all her weight back and elbowed the man.
“Khu! Urgh. You…cunning btch!” The man did not expect that October will have the nerve of doing such a thing which caught him off-guard. He glared at her with bloodshot eyes and cursed at her. He clutched his stomach and staggered back.
‘Not enough.’ October thought. She took a spin, raised her tied wrists and smashed it on his face viciously which earned her a scream.
“Ah!” The man fell on his knees, crouched with a hand on his stomach and the other on his burning face.
October did not hesitate as she turned and dashed away from the warehouse.
‘I need to run fast.’ October searched around only to realize that there was nothing much around the surrounding area as it was already abandoned with only collapsing buildings, vegetation, and trees. She clicked her tongue and decided to enter the area with thicker shrubs and trees. Buildings are not safe. If she tripped or fall from holes or get debris falling onto her, she’ll hurt her precious babies.
Behind her was Shark’s voice in the warehouse clearly noticing that something happened outside and it was not a scene he does not want to occur. This made October’s pace increase even more while also being careful of not making a sound.
“What was that?! What the hell?”
“Fck! Check it out. Hurry, hurry!”
Shark and the others run outside as fast as they could but they were still a step too late. In front of their dumbfounded selves was a man lying on the ground, hands on this stomach with one side of his face burning red. It was pretty sure that it’ll turn black and blue later.
“That btch! I swear I’m going to make her kneel for mercy in front of me. Sht!” The man on the ground coughed.
In the heat of all the mess, Shark kicked the man spouting profanities in annoyance, frustration, displeasure, and just anger which made the man red and groaning.
Shark wiped his face truly aggravated. He then instructed the other two to search the area.
“Let’s split up and immediately find her. She couldn’t have gone that far.”
“Okay.”
“You go there, I’ll go this way.”
Shark also went on another direction to search for the October and cursed all the way. He swore that if he’ll ever find her, he would definitely gonna do what Miss Lu wanted him to do. No, he would even do more than that. Because of what she did, they will waste time to search for her.
“That btch! My money’s delayed all because of her!”
“Damn! How did she even escape? If I had known this would happen…no, that’s not it. She was a woman who was extremely and oddly calm. Sht. She must have already planned to escape from the very beginning.”
October run into the forest without looking back. She was breathing hard, her throat dry, and her legs are about to give out but she should not falter. She needed to grit her teeth and persevere.
“I’ve already gone this far. No, I can’t think like that. I have to escape, I need to escape.’ She knew that if she was, hope not, captured again, they might do something much worse than before.
At this time, Lexus’ car had arrived a couple of meters away from the warehouse but of course it was in an area covered with trees that the warehouse could barely seen. He jumped out of the car and instantly spotted Luke out of all the people there with his glasses on and hands shoved in his black windbreaker. He went to him in big strides and every step was heavier than the other, the same as what he was feeling inside.
The person making his way to Luke was cold and menacing as ever but the way he was right now was more intense than he was younger when his place in the honors list dropped to second in one semester. Right now, Luke felt like there was a scythe of a grim reaper’s on his neck, sharp and cold.
‘This brat. Look at him, as if he’s going to eat people alive.’
“Where is she?!” Lexus asked rather harshly, holding Luke’s collar.
“…we were late for–”
“What?! What did you say? Late?! What does that mean?!”
“Le-let me finish first, you bastard!” Luke unhanded himself from the tight grip of Lexus and straightened the crumpled part on his windbreaker. He wanted to point at his brother but now’s not the time to that.
“Those bastards arrived a little earlier than us at the warehouse. When my men got there, they saw them in a panic and quite flustered before splitting on different directions. Your wife was nowhere on sight so from there, sh–”
“She escaped.” Lexus said in a matter-of-fact tone. Somehow, he thought that this was how his wife was. She was a smart woman. She always. But this only means that her man, him, was truly lacking. He was so ashamed to face her.
“I’m going.”
Lexus walked toward the thick trees and bushes. He took his coat off, toss it to who-knows-where, loosened his tie, unbuttoned some of his buttons and started running in a distance with a desperate look on his face.
“Well, would you look at that. He looked like he was about to cry.” Luke said to himself, folding his arms over his chest. “Gosh, I should’ve taken a photo of that. Tch.. That was a once-in-a-lifetime face! I could’ve sold that for millions or made fun of him.”
