The Charming Villain Just Wants To Be A Salted Fish - Chapter 15.1
The Fifteenth Night Part 1
Long Aotian faintly glanced at her and walked to the side of the table.
Joyce swallowed what she almost blurted out.
She looked at him from behind nervously. For a moment, she was not sure why Long Aotian had tied her up, or whether he knew who she was… or whether he had figured out that she was not the real Joyce.
As she contemplated, Joyce became too nervous to speak up. Her eyes were fixed on Long Aotian’s back to her. She had no idea why the “kidnapping” had happened. For the first time, she put away her unrestrained expression. She warily laid down in the cage and focused on the person before her. Who knew what he was busy with.
If he knew that she was not the original Joyce, would he think that she was a spy sent by the Great Demon Dragon, with that… Joyce imagined all kinds of scenarios in which Long Aotian would torture her to get a confession!!
Her soft kitten fur had already stood up one by one. Long Aotian’s back was to her, but it was like she could see him choosing a “torture weapon” with a sinister smile.
Just then, Long Aotian finally sorted out the things in his hands and turned to look at her again.
The fear in Joyce’s heart reached its peak instantly. She withdrew to the corner of the cage and watched each step Long Aotian took towards her.
He looked down at the trembling kitten in the cage and slowly opened the door.
She’s just a cat now! With a cage like this, how could she escape?! If Long Aotian knew that she was not the original Joyce and wanted to kill her to silence her—who could save her?!
The hand reached into the cage, and Joyce shirked further in horror. Her eyes were on the hand as it tried to grab her and pull her out of the cage.
Sean!
Where’s Sean?!
Long Aotian tried to grab several times but could not capture the evading kitten. He lost his patience and frowned. He tried again, the big hands blocking all points of retreat in the small cage. He firmly grabbed her back and lifted her out of the cage.
Joyce did not dare to make a sound. She did not know what Long Aotian’s intentions were, and she struggled desperately out of instinct and panic.
Her soft paws had some sharp claws. She scratched the back of Long Aotian’s hands and wrists during the struggle. Some blood oozed out and stained the kitten’s paws.
Joyce was struggling but soon froze. The blood was too close, and it had even dyed her paws red…
She gradually heard her own breathing and heartbeat rising as if she held a hidden thirst that was clamoring to break through the prison… She was very familiar with this feeling. However, in the bottom of her heart, what she longed for was not the blood in front of her, but the blood that she had drunk several times. Even now when she thought of that blood, she felt hotter.
She… was really hungry.
And what she was thinking about right now was the sweet and addictive taste of Sean’s blood.
Her thoughts gradually settled. She knew that this was not the time for her to think about that blood. She did not know what Long Aotian wanted to do to her, nor did she know whether she was in danger. She…
While she was trying to think logically over and over again to strengthen her conviction, she saw Long Aotian earnestly lift the thing in his other hand…
Joyce’s body froze again, and she looked up awkwardly at the top of her head. It was a…
Cat wand?!
The straight-faced Long Aotian shook the cat wand nervously like he was confirming Joyce’s ridiculous thought.
The feathers shook as the little bell rang softly.
What is Long Aotian doing?! Don’t tell me… he wants to use this thing to trick me into telling the truth? With that, she really didn’t have any hope for Long Aotian’s IQ…
She clenched her teeth and retracted her gaze coldly.
How can I like a cat wand?! What a joke!
Seeing that she had no interest in the cat wand, Long Aotian checked the wand again and again in confusion before he seemed to have finally believed that it could not interest her. Thus, he threw it aside.
Just when Joyce thought that Long Aotian had finally given up this stupid idea, she saw him grab her with one hand and pick up another thing on the table with the other. She frowned as the thing came closer to her.
Joyce’s eyes were fixed on this thing… Once again, she completely froze.
This is a piece of…
Dried fish?!
What on earth is Long Aotian doing?!
How could he think that such a clumsy trick with a cat wand and dried fish could get him any information out of her? As his immediate superior, Joyce really felt that the villain’s IQ in the book could be graded as kindergarten level.
Sensing the deep disdain from the little kitten in his hand, Long Aotian looked at the dried fish in his hand skeptically and took a closer look at the little kitten in front of him with a deep frown.
“Don’t be picky about food.”
With a serious expression, Long Aotian said the first words since he entered the room.
Joyce adopted the attitude that she wouldn’t move unless her adversary moved. She was struggling internally as she kept swallowing her saliva while keeping a watchful eye on Long Aotian’s every move.
“Since you don’t like any of this, I can only…”
